《Why Dont You Love Me?》Chapter 10

Ryan's POV
As Marie led us into the small room, I couldnt help but to draw my attention back to Megan. She looked so beautiful in that dress. She's beautiful in general but today she was just wow. Her eyes were amazingly bright and full of life, and her smile was brighter than before. She looked.. Amazing.
But what was I doing taking her out on a date? I have lost my mind. Sure, I need to start getting back out there, but what was I doing taking her? I didnt think I liked her like that, but maybe I just figured she'd like it. I dont know, maybe I'm just losing my mind. Maybe I have just officially snapped and needed to go into a mental home. Girls and I just dont get along. Well, I mean we get along! It's just the dating part. Most girls dont stick around when I leave for tour, or something. I always end up getting hurt, which is starting to get to me.
"Ryan? What's your take on the subject?" Marie's voice broke through my thoughts causing me to look at her.
"What?" I asked with a laugh. Marie giggled before showing me a picture.
"The rumors about Nash and Megan Fox hooking up." I instantly bursted out into laughter.
"Nash and Megan Fox? Damn, Nash! Keep it from us, why dont you?" Nash laughed.
"Hey, it happens!"
Marie smiled. "Again, this is Hot Chelle Rae with us today! So boys, tell us. Whats going to be on the new album? Silly love songs? Break up songs?"
"Well," I said nodding. "It's going to be like one big party. The sound is going to revolve around a more pop influenced sound. Like Tonight Tonight. Silly love songs, and break up songs will be included in the 11 tracks."
"Have you started recording yet?"
"Yeah!" Nash said. "We've got over five new songs recorded. We honestly love them all so far. And we get to go to Los Angeles tomorrow to record and write some more."
"That's great boys! We're so excited to hear the new stuff."
"Thank you!" I said with a smile.
~*~
After the interview had ended, we all walked out of the room laughing. Megan was the first to look up at us and smile.
"Done already?" She asked. She got up and walked over to us.
"Yep!" I replied back with a smile.
"Good. Because IIIIII am hungry." She placed a hand on her stomach and rubbed it before laughing. I laughed and walked with her to the door. Nash, Jamie, Ian and Cameron all followed behind us snickering.
"Ouuuu, Ryan's got a girlllyy franndd!" Cameron's voice said. I smiled a bit to myself as my cheeks flushed red.
"Look! Look! Is Ryan BLUSHING?"
"No! I am a man, and men dont blush!" I could feel my cheeks turning even more red as I stared at the ground.
"Liar! Youre blushing even more now!" Jamie yelled.
"Hush! All of ya!" I laughed as I walked ahead.
"Aww, guys. Dont tease Ryan!" Megan giggled. Her voice sent chills up my body, and butterflies appeared in my stomach. We got to the bottom floor and headed towards the door.
"Remember," Ian said. "Push, not pull!"
I rolled my eyes a bit playfully then opened the door for Megan. Once she was out I quickly shut it behind me and cause the rest of the guys to walk right into it. I turned around to face the boys and smirked.

"Remember, Ian. Push not pull." Megan started laughing and smiled hugely. Ian pushed the door open and rubbed his forehead.
"Ow! Ryan!" He laughed. I smiled cutely.
"Okay, so what's the plan?" Jamie asked.
"Ryan and Megan are going to go on the date--"
"It's not a date!" Megan and I said in unison. Nash laughed and rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, and my brother isn't a weirdo." He smirked. I laughed a bit then turned to look at Megan. She smiled at me then looked down at the ground. I smiled then looked at the guys.
"be safe! Have fun." Ian said before climbing into the limo. Nash, and everyone else followed suit. The limo drove away leaving Megan and I alone.
"So, uhm... Where is Olive Garden?" She asked.
"Down the street." I smiled. I shoved my hands into my pockets and started walking with her. She followed quickly along beside me, her heels clickclacking along the pavement.
"So where have you been lately?" She looked up at me. Her brown eyes were almost like puppy dog eyes; sad and pleading. I took a deep breath in before exhaling and looking back at her.
"You can tell me Ryan."
I nodded and took another deep breath in.
"My friend, Morgan. I'm sure you've heard about her. Well, she's been having a lot of problems at home, and with work. So I've just been helping her get through some stuff." I nodded. She smiled a bit before nodding.
"Such a caregiver, you are." She let out a soft, perfect giggle.
I smiled. We walked up to the restaurant a few moments later. I pulled the door, but it didnt open. What in the world?! They dont close until 11 PM and it was only 7 PM.
"Pull Mr. Muscles!" Megan laughed. I pulled the door again and let out a huge whine.
"It's like stuck!!" I said. Megan laughed and placed her hands on top of mine. Her hands were soft and angel like. Together we pulled onto the door until it finally opened, causing us both to fall backwards. I caught Megan so that she'd land on top of me and not on the cemente. We looked at each other and started to laugh.
"Why hello there, handsome!" She giggled.
"Hello there, gorgeous." I smiled as she got up and helped me up. Luckily, I had kept the door open with my foot.
"Ladies first!" I bowed a bit then laughed. Megan laughed and walked in. I followed in after her. The smell of breadsticks, yummy yummy breadsticks hit me first. I started to drool out of my mouth but quickly wiped it off on my sleeve.
"Hello! Welcome to Olive Garden. Just two?" A hostess said.
"Yep!" I smiled. She grabbed two menus and started walking.
"Table or booth?"
"Booth, please." Megan answered. The hostess nodded and led us to the back where a lot of booths were. We slid into one of them and the hostess put our menu's down infront of us.
"Kathleen will be with you any moment! Enjoy!" She scampered. Megan picked the menu up but I already knew what I wanted. Spaghetti with meatballs with a salad and a coke. I looked back up at Megan who had a comtemplative look on her face.
"You okay over there?"
"Huh?" She looked up then blushed and nodded. "Yeah, sorry. I havent been here in forever so I have absolutely no idea what to get because it all looks so good!"

I laughed and nodded in agreement.
"What are you getting?" She asked.
"Pasta with meatballs and a salad."
"Oh! I think I'll get that! Sounds really good!"
"It is!" I said back with a smile. The waitress Kathleen showed up a while later and took our order.
"It'll be out shortly!" She said before walking away. I looked at Megan who looked back at me and smiled. I smiled back and chuckled. What is happening to me? I have never smiled this much in my entire life or for anyone for that matter. There's something about Megan that sends chills up my spine, puts butterflies in my stomach, and takes all the grey away. I couldnt help but to be more of myself around her. More and more everday, I'm coming back to my oldself and to the world.
"So whats on Mr. Ryan's schedule for tomorrow?" She asked.
"Oh! Right, I wanted to ask you something." I said, leanng forward. She leaned forward as well and smirked.
"I may have an answer. What's up?"
"Tomorrow, the boys and I have to go to LA to record some songs. I was just wondering if you would maybe you know.. Want to come with us?"
"Me?" She asked pointing to herself. I looked around the
"Is there anyone else at the table?" I chuckled.
"No but.. Me?" She asked again.
"Yes you!" I laughed. Megan's smile doubled about ten times before she nodded.
"YES! But wait! Los Angeles California?"
"Yesss!"
"Oh my god, YES. Okay! I'm down! But wait! I could get lost! Oh my, what if I get lost? Ryan, I will not be good lost. Not intentionally. Okay! Here's the plan. You ready? Okay, bring one of those child leashes." She nodded quickly before laughing. "Can we go shopping? I've always wanted to go shopping! And visit the Pier--"
"Megan!" I laughed. "Calm down, babe! We'll do that! And I may consider putting you on a child leash." I chuckled. Megan bursted out laughing and nodded.
"I may need it! I mean.. Look at how hyper I am just talking about it!" I laughed along with her.
"Dont worry! We'll be there for a while. We'll have plenty of time to do anything and everything you want. Okay?"
"Okay!!!!" She jumped up and down in her seat a bit while clapping her hands and giggling.
"But there's a catch.." I said smirking.
"What?"
"You have to help me write a song."
"I CAN DO THAT. OKAY." I laughed and smiled hugely at her. She smiled back and giggled. Her face seemed to light up a bit. Her smile was real, and her eyes were bright. She's changed a lot since the first time I met her. She's not as shy, or quiet or even afraid anymore. She was finally coming out of her shell and I dont know if thats because the boys and I wont leave her alone or what it is. But whatever it is, let's keep it going.
The food came a while later but was devoured in literally 10 minutes. Both Megan and I are very, very fast eaters apparently. I paid the bill for the check then escorted my lady out. Yes, my lady. Somewhere between eating and finishing, I made a decision that no matter what happens, I will always fight for Megan. I placed my hand on her lower back as we walked out. We started to walk to the curb but was cut off short by Megan stopping.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Uhm.. Can we go the other way? Please?" She suddenly looked really nervous and a bit scared. Before I could get a word out of my mouth, she grabbed my hand and started pulling me the other way.
"Megan, what's going on?"
"Liz and Jake." She said shakily.
"Who?" I asked quietly.
"Uhm, Liz. My twin sister. Jake was uhm.. Was my friend. They're part of the reason why I.." She stopped short but she didnt have to finish it. I knew what she was going to say. I caught up with her walking and held her hand comfortingly.
"Megan!" A voice came from behind us. Megan stopped in her tracks and closed her eyes tightly. She let go of my hand then turned around to face the two people.
"We found you!" The boy said. I'm guessing that was Jake, and the girl was Liz. Liz looked kind of mad and irritated while Jake looked kind of pleased.
"What do you want?" Megan asked.
"We're here to take you home. Now let's go." Liz's voice was cold, and harsh. Megan swallowed and shook her head.
"I am home."
"No, you're not." Liz took a step forward.
"Yes I am. You cannot make me do something I dont want to do. I'm staying here."
"With you?!" She yelled. Megan winced a bit then took a step towards me.
"With Ryan."
"Oh, Megan. You poor sensetive soul you." Liz grabbed her wrist and started to pull her. "Enough with the games. Let's go."
"No." Megan yanked her arm back and grabbed my hand again, intertwining our fingers. "Cmon Ryan, let's go." She pulled me along in the opposite direction. I followed behind her quickly but Liz had grabbed onto the back of my shirt and shoved me into a car with sharp object sticking out of it. I let out a sharp yelp before feeling the pain in my arm and side.
"Whoa, Liz!"
"Ryan!" Megan yelled as she knelt down next to me. "What the heck Liz?! Jake, you already stabbed my back once, and now you're turning on me? Either help me and do something or just go!"
"I didnt turn on you! I'm helping bring you back home!" He said.
"I dont want to go home! I am home!"
"No, home is with us!" Liz yelled.
"No, home is where I'm happy and I'm happy here."
"With a celebrity that probably doesnt even care about you. Leave your fantasy world, and come home."
"No." Megan's voice become stern and more protectively. "I'm not leaving."
"Megan, i dont feel so good.." I mumbled a bit. My vision had started to get blurry, and the pain increased tremendously.
"It's okay, Ryan! It's okay!" She had tears streaming down her cheeks. "I'll get you help, you're going to be okay!" She stood up to face Liz and Jake but that was honestly the last thing I saw before everything went black, and kind of cold.

Home of Laplace
I opened my eyes to an unfamiliar mountain peak standing tall above me like seeing a skyscraper from the street. Soon the chilling burn of the snow that covered me began to invade my senses and I flung my torso upward, sitting up straight. I grabbed my head in confusion as my eyes surveyed the area around me: The corner of a mountain wall stood menacingly in front of me accompanied by thin, dangerous looking paths on either side. The likes of which only adrenaline-seeking psychopaths would use. I turned my head backwards and felt my heart drop as what looked like an infinitely long freefall met my gaze. I was sitting on the ledge of a snow-covered mountain. "CRKKKK" A heart-shaking croaking sounded from above me further up the mountain and I jolted backwards at the impossibly loud sound. 'Shit, wasn't there nothing behind me?' The sound of cracking stone accompanied the heart dropping sensation of descension. As I plunged down backwards, the last thing I saw was the deep-set brown eyes of that blue-skinned monstrosity further up the mountain. ----------------------------------------------------- Levi Laplace is a former genius biochemistry student that died a simple and laughable death on earth. The Fall of The Gods
Synopsis: In the year 1966, an army of Orishas led by Sango stormed Amadioha’s palace and razed it the ground, starting a decades-long war between two of Nigeria’s most powerful divine orders. Blinded by the rage of battle, the gods did not detect the rise of a third power, far greater and deadlier than anything they could have imagined. When gods, on both the Yoruba and Igbo sides, begin falling mysteriously to their death, Sango seeks the help of Odion, a Lagos teenager destined to rise from his dark past to become a hero. But can a human hero save the gods from a doomed fate? The Fall of the Gods is an action-packed YA fantasy based on the mythical bond that ties human life with the realm of the divine. It demonstrates the power of stories to change our lives. It also reminds us that Sango and Amadioha are not relics of the past and that, sometimes, what it means to be a hero in today’s world is knowing how to find inspiration in the stories of the gods.
