Tyler walked to his room without a word, the door slamming behind him. Josh sighed and sat down on the couch. Tyler was embarrassed. After he had calmed down, he wouldn't stop apologising and he wouldn't meet Josh's eyes. The shaking was back, too. Any progress that they had made had been erased.

Josh wanted to go and comfort Tyler, but he didn't want to overstep any boundaries. He turned on the TV and scoffed when, of course, Supernatural popped up onto the screen. Tyler was obsessed with the show, which was good because it seemed never ended.

"Supernatural's on!" Josh called.

After a moment, there was a reply. "What episode?"

Josh narrowed his eyes at the screen. "I dunno."

"Well, what's happening?"

Josh exhaled heavily. "There's, like, this naked guy walking around. He keeps calling everything 'Father'. Hey, uh, what the fuck is this show?"

Tyler practically bolted out of his room. "My son!" he gasped before collapsing onto the couch.

"Your son?" Josh chuckled.

"His name's Jack," Tyler explained. "He's a nephilim- half angel, half human. He's Lucifer's son and I love him with my full soul."

"He's... Lucifer's son?" Josh asked, earning a nod from Tyler.

About twenty minutes into the episode, Josh spoke up. "America is so fucking weird."

"It's filmed in Canada," Tyler said.

Josh shook his head. "Still weird."

They sat in silence for a while. Tyler still seemed embarrassed, but it looked like he was trying to hide it under a mask of carelessness.

The peaceful quiet was interrupted by a knock at the door. Josh opened it to reveal Brendon, who stumbled into the apartment. Brendon pushed past him and barrelled straight towards Tyler. He grabbed his arm, emitting a small squeak form the younger boy.

"You are Josh's husband," Brendon whispered. "You met online two years ago. Your homophobic parents kicked you and out Josh moved here so you could live together. Right now, you are happy and in a peaceful and loving marriage. ICE is coming upstairs, and you do not want to raise suspicion, okay?"

Tyler nodded, his eyes wide and full of fear.

"Act natural," Brendon demanded before turning to Josh. "You too."

With that, he left, the door slamming behind him. Tyler and Josh shared a look of mutual shock before another knock made them both jump.

Josh opened it to reveal a woman and a man, both wearing suits and holding up badges.

"Hello, my name is Agent Halloway and this is Agent Calhoun," the man said, speaking quickly and without emotion. "We're from the U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcement, here to ask you some questions. Standard procedure, nothing to worry about."

Tyler watched the interaction with blurred yes, frozen in fear. He couldn't lie to the agents without giving him and Josh away. What would happen them? Would he be killed by the mafia if he messed up? Would his family be killed?

"Are you Joshua W. Joseph, formerly known as Joshua W. Dun?" Agent Calhoun asked, reading from a stack of paper in her hands.

Josh nodded.

"And is this your husband?"

Josh nodded again. He looked over to Tyler, who was looking between the two agents like they were about to kill him. He walked over to the boy and gingerly took his face in his hands, praying that Tyler wouldn't flinch when he did so.

"Sweetie?" he asked, drawing Tyler's attention. "Sweetie, you gotta get up. The agents are here to ask us some questions, alright?"

Josh was speaking in his Russian accent. It would be suspicious if he spoke in his American one, of course, but the foreign voice still sent a chill down Tyler's spine.

Josh gently pulled Tyler to his feet and towards the agents. He held the younger's shaking hand in his own and smiled apologetically at the agents.

"My husband has a nervous disorder," Josh explained, which was technically the truth. "He's just a little bit shocked, but he'll be alright."

"Do you have a marriage certificate or any documents to prove your marriage?" Agent Halloway asked.

"Of course," Josh replied, leading the agent away.

Agent Calhoun turned to Tyler. "Can you tell me how you two met?"

Tyler took a deep breath, willing his voice to work. "Online," he uttered.

The woman hummed and wrote that down. "Why did you decide to marry?"

"My parents kicked me out," Tyler lied, surprised at his own words. "I- I didn't have anyone else, and Josh offered to move here so we could live together. We- we loved each other, and we decided to get married so Josh could- could work n' stuff."

"Sorry about your parents," Agent Calhoun said, letting a little piece of emotion slip past her cold demeanour.

Tyler nodded and looked to the floor. Even though the stories were different, his parents still had technically kicked him out. It was worse than that, actually- they had practically sold him to pay off their own debts. They had done that his whole life. He was always being put into dangerous situations, whether it was a late night visit by a murderous criminal or being married off to the Chechen Mafia. He was sick of it, but what could he do? He had tried to run away before. He had tried to take his own life, too, but he didn't take enough pills. It always ended with pain, no matter what.

"Tyler?"

Tyler pulled himself out of his thoughts. "Yeah?"

"They're gone," Josh said, back with his American accent. "And you were staring at the wall for, like, twenty minutes. Are you okay?"

Tyler rubbed his eyes. "Yeah, sorry. Can we go back to Supernatural now?"

"Of course," Josh replied.

Tyler sat down on the couch with a sigh. He pulled his knees to his chest and rested his head against them. His heart felt heavy in his chest, like it was was being tugged on by a thousand tiny hands. He hated it. He hated how he felt. He hated where he was. He hated the fact that he was married. He hated his parents, too. He hated everything, and there was nothing that he could do to stop it.
