Tyler awoke with a start. He looked around, his eyes wide. He could barely see, but he could tell that he was in a small, windowless room. It was fully concrete and there wasn't even a toilet.
Tyler flinched when he felt a twang of pain. He gingerly touched his head, letting out a choked sob when he felt blood. He could barely remember what had happened, but he knew it was bad. He just remembered the bus station, and then the creepy guy in the bathroom.
Tyler noticed a door. He perked up and stumbled towards it, his limbs heavy. He didn't know how long he was out, but he felt unusually tired. He could barely hold himself up.
"Hey!" Tyler yelled. "Let me out!"
He began to bang on the door, crying too loud to speak. He squeezed his eyes shut as a wave of nausea and lightheadedness overcame him, sending him to the ground. He lay on the hard floor, his eyelids feeling like they weighed three tonnes.
Suddenly, the door opened. Tyler shot up, his vision blurred. He crawled away as a slim, young man with raven hair stepped through. He didn't look intimidating, but there was something about the way he so-casually smiled that made Tyler freeze from fear. He studied the man, his eyes widening when he remembered how he was taken. The man in front of him was the one from the van.
"Who-who are you?" Tyler stuttered.
The man smiled and placed his hands behind his back. "The best man."
Tyler shook his head. "I don't know what that means."
"They hey didn't tell you?" the man asked. "You're getting married, Mr. Joseph. There's no wedding, unfortunately, but I like to think I'd still be the best man."

"No!" Tyler yelled. "No, no, I- I should be able to escape that! I don't- no, there's no way my parents were serious, I..."
The man softened and lowered his voice. "I'm sorry that this is happening to you, but you don't have a choice. I don't either. I am truly sorry."
"Why?" Tyler whispered, finally looking up to meet the man's eyes.
The man bent down, making Tyler flinch away. He gently brought the boy into a hug, both of them shaking.
When he spoke, his voice was weak. "Because you're one of the unlucky ones."
With that, he pulled away. Tyler didn't speak. He just stared as the man stood up and made his way towards the door, slamming it shut behind him. Tyler brought his knees to his chest, his eyes wide. His cheeks were wet with tears, but he wasn't crying. He was just staring at the door, rocking slightly and barely breathing.
The door opened again, but Tyler didn't process it. He only realised what was happening when he was being pulled to his feet by his collar. There was a man- a different, more muscly one- glaring Tyler straight in the eye.
"Do you know why you're here?"
Tyler didn't reply. He couldn't.
"Do you know why you're here?" the man repeated, his voice angry.
Tyler shook his head and let out a small whimper. The man scowled and pushed him against the wall. Tyler's head hit the stone with a too-loud crack, but the man didn't seem to notice. Instead, he dropped down in front of Tyler.
"You will not try to escape," he sneered. "You will legally marry Mr. Dun and you will tell the American authorities that you are happily married. Also, you will never tell anyone about this. Understand?"

Tyler's blinked slowly. He nodded, barely comprehending the man's words.
"Good," the man said. "Then you will be fine."
Tyler swallowed the lump in his throat. "What're you gonna do ta me?" he slurred, barely able to speak.
The man shook his head and smiled. "It's not me you have to worry about."
He grabbed a fistful of Tyler's hair and slammed the his head, once again, against the wall. He then grabbed the unconscious boy's arms and dragged him from the small room.
"Mr. Urie, to the van?"
The mentioned nodded, his expression solemn. "He's not concussed, is he? He'll be okay?"
The older man shrugged. "Sure."
