《Marigold; Adventures of Scarlet Lady and Chat》Chapter 31

Pandora sat quietly, watching Ladybug and Chat Noir laugh together, the setting sun outlining their silhouettes.
"Pandy!" Came a sudden cry.
Pandora turned around to see a girl in green running towards her. She jumped from roof to roof with the skill of a ninja, her long braid whipping around behind her. She landed beside Pandora with a quiet *thump* and fell to her knees, wrapping Pandora in a hug, "I was so terrified when I got your message."
"It's fine Brielle. The branch has been secured back into the trunk."
Brielle suddenly gave Pandora a slap on the ear, "You idiot! I wasn't worried about the branch, or even the trunk! I was worried about you."
Pandora relaxed her stiff posture, "You shouldn't be, Bri. I'm a big tough girl. Besides, you shouldn't put me before the welfare of others."
"Ha. Telling Brielle to worry more about her job than her sisters is like telling the sun not to shine!" A new voice called.
A young woman walked over, her long yellow dress flowing behind her, "Good to see you didn't mess up, Pandy."
"Circe! Have more compassion," Brielle scolded.
"Brielle, you have more than enough compassion for the three of us," Circe shot back.
"Just as you have enough stubbornness for the three of us," Pandora added.
"And as Pandora has enough wit for the three of us. We make the perfect group!" Brielle explained happily.
Circe sighed, and Pandora cracked a smile, "Brielle, you are, as ever, the endowment of joy."
Circe groaned, and sat down, "Ughhhh smart words. My nemesis."
Pandora and Brielle laughed.
"Now, I've been dying to know how on earth you managed to combine the branch to the trunk! Such a feat is... well, when we last talked it seemed impossible!" Brielle said.

"Did you manage to get Adrien to hate Marinette?" Circe asked, "He was always much too good for her."
Pandora frowned, "You have it opposite, Circe. Marinette was always too good for Adrien."
"I don't-"
"GIRLS! Enough with old arguments! Look at them now. The perfect team," Brielle interrupted before a fight could break out, "Now, Pandy how did you fix everything?"
Pandora gave Circe a glare, then said, "I didn't do anything... And no, Ce-Ce, Adrien didn't hate Marinette in the end. He loved her. Marinette managed to forgive Adrien, and love him back. Their love worked the same way as their hate would have."
Brielle gave a happy clap, and Circe just groaned, "Gross."
"So you say. Now tell me, how is Fu, Marianne?" Brielle asked, suggestingly.
Circe growled at Brielle and said, "Fine. Without his memory, he's disoriented, but adapting well."
Pandora frowned, "Wait, Fu? What did I miss?"
"Nothing-"
"Circe has been going by this sweet old lady named Marianne to take care of Fu! She's fallen in love again!" Brielle giggled.
Pandora broke out in a smile, "NO! You didn't!" She laughed.
Circe grumbled something that sounded like, 'shut it' as Brielle and Pandora laughed at her red cheeks.
"Oh Fu, I'll wait for you! Don't worry my dear love! We shall meet again!" Brielle said in a high pitched voice, mocking Circe, causing her and Pandora to laugh harder.
"ENOUGH OF THAT!" Circe exclaimed.
The girls quieted down their laughter but were still smiling. They turned back to looking at Ladybug and Chat Noir.
After a while, Brielle said, "Purple, green, and yellow, back together again. It's been so long since we've been able to relax together and laugh."

Circe then gave a sigh, "Yes...It's been nice, but I need to get back to Fu. I have to begin resetting his memory so he can become a guardian again."
"Will you send him back to the temple?" Pandora asked.
"I think so... It's still the safest place for him," Circe nodded.
Brielle spoke longingly, "I wish I could go with you to help, but I have work in the Plains to attend to."
Pandora frowned, "Pain and Tears still giving you trouble?"
Brielle shook her head, "The sisters are too powerful for Ladybug and Chat Noir to fight right now. They must finish off HawkMoth before I can release the sisters. Then they'll have a chance."
Circe shook her head, "One trial after another. This world is so evil."
Brielle nodded, "Yes, but there's good in it too. And for every problem, there is a solution... Ladybug and Chat Noir will triumph."
Pandora elbowed her sister, "When did you get so wise?"
Brielle grinned, "When I started listening to you!"
The three smiled and stood. Then, after giving Ladybug and Chat Noir one last look, Briell ran off in one direction, and Circe another.
Pandora hesitated, looking at the two. She was surprised to find a tear rolling down her cheek. But then, she smiled. Even though the Marinette she knew was gone, this Marinette was the one the Universe needed.
Pain. Love. Sacrifice.
Three things Pandora knew all too well.
She blew the pigtailed girl a kiss, then turned around.
"Arcaa, aperire buxum. We have work to do."
The End.
