《A Normal Transfer Student [Bleach Fanfic]》Because I wasn't aware [29]

I woke up on my bed, which felt strange. Didn't I fall asleep on the couch? The feeling of Deja Vu lingered. I looked over to the alarm clock on my study desk which was conveniently next to my bed. It was still early. I still had an hour left.
I got off my bed, walking to the kitchen. My throat felt dry and itchy so naturally, I needed water. I dragged my feet through the darkroom, stopping for a minute to let my eyes adjust.
I was near-sighted and thanks to that I had night blindness. Basically, without my glasses, things were darker than they're supposed to be.
Since it was a new place, I had a hard time navigating through the kitchen. Too lazy to run back to my room, I continued into the kitchen blind. My hand was out to ensure I didn't bump into anything. Though, my hip was still bumping into unknown things that were probably going to make me cry in the morning.
I finally arrived at the fridge. I opened it, greeted by the calm orange lights as I squinted my eyes. I grabbed a water bottle and took a sip. A bump made me jump out of my skin. Though, I refused to look behind me. So I kept my focus on the content of the fridge. Apples, tomatoes, capsicum and a Tupperware probably with leftovers.
I placed the water bottle back into the fridge. Another thud was heard. "Abarai-Kun?" I called out softly, turning around. I got on my toes to have a better look at the living room. I assumed there was nothing. Hoping my vision didn't fail me. I shrugged, thinking it was probably my imagination.
I closed the fridge door as I made my way back to my room. Usually, I would run to my room. But since I was in a groggy state, I dragged my feet across the floor. I stood by the hallway, seeing an outline of a figure. I blinked. I rubbed my eyes. I looked again. It was gone. I shook my head, I'm imagining things.

As I was about to move, a hand was suddenly on my shoulder. I jumped a little, "Abarai...Kun?" It was barely a whisper. The hand slowly turned me around. I froze, my eyes meeting a calm but threatening brown eyes. Aizen. He grabbed my wrist and--
I woke up.
I was sweating. It was a dream. Just a dream. My alarm blared loudly. I placed my hand on it, shutting it off. My heart was beating out of my chest. My breathing was out of control. I placed both of my hand on my face as I shook my head.
I slowly got off my bed, still shaken by the nightmare. I dragged myself to the door. Before opening it, I held my breath. This is reality. I exhaled, twisting the doorknob. I looked around before leaving my room. It's just a dream. It can't hurt you.
Disturbed. I was completely disturbed. The dream was still as vivid as an actual memory. Like it actually happened. It has been a few hours since I woke up. Usually 10 minutes after waking up, I would forget it if I didn't write it down. But I didn't forget it.
I shook my head as I made my way to the school gates, it's just a dream. A dream. It's all in your head. My grip on the strap of my bag tightened. "You look distracted," a familiar voice chirped next to me.
"Sh-Shinji-San!" I squeaked, looking to my side. I shook my head, "Its nothing. Just a dream," I said, biting the inside of my cheek. My fingers fiddled and fidgeted with each other. I couldn't keep myself calm around this man.
"Oh?" There was something in his tone, "Was I in it?" I snapped my head to his direction, seeing him smirking. Which caused me to flush drastically.

"N-No! It wasn't anything like that!" I replied, panicking, "D-Don't get the wrong idea!" God, I was a mess towards this man. My Asian household would definitely disapprove it as they would have wanted me to settle with a local.
Shinji laughed at my reaction, "I was just teasin' with ya," he ruffled my hair. "Where you headed?" He asked. "Urahara's shop," I replied. I gave him a good look. He was wearing an orange button-up shirt with a black tie that matched his trousers. To finish it all off, he wore black leather shoes, something my dad would approve.
He has a taste in fashion. Crap, that makes him even more attractive.
"Why ya heading there?" He tilted his head to the side. His blond straight hair moving with his head. I could go on about how adorable it made him look.
"Um... remember I have an ability?" I twirled a strand of hair around my finger. He nodded. "Yeah, so apparently I've got another," I tucked the strand of hair behind my ear. "It just making things float, no big deal," I shrugged.
"Ya got another?" He sounded...impressed. And I didn't even show it to him yet. "Maybe you are something else," he gave me a genuinely warm smile. Which sent butterflies flying in my stomach. Hell, butterflies sounded like an understatement.
"I can't show it to you since I still don't know the ropes yet," my eyes went to his hand. I wanted to hold that. "So, that's why I'm heading over to Kisuke's. Plus Abarai-Kun is gonna be there to help out." My hand itched to wrap itself around his. I'm usually not like this. Get yourself together!
I used to despise hand-holding among opposite genders. I was about to jump into another life crisis.
"Ya stay safe, alright?" He said. I couldn't help but smile. My cheeks flushed and warm. I nodded, "You stay safe too," I muttered, rubbing my arm as I looked into his eyes.
To hell with it, I caught feelings.
