《A Normal Transfer Student [Bleach Fanfic]》Dinner was slowly making its way [9]

I like him. Nothing wrong with that. I closed the door behind me as I quietly announced my return. In my hand was a bag of groceries, except he betrays and kills like a lot. I shook my head, placing the bag on the counter. Of all the people I could have a crush on, why him? I slowly took out all the items from the bag, I would still forgive myself if I developed a crush on Orihime. Or maybe Ishida-Kun even!
I stopped for a moment, Do I have a crush on them? I tried imagining myself with them. Holding their hand. Playing with Orihime's burnt orange hair. Stealing Uryu's glasses. Trying out Orihime's clothes. Uryu saving me from a Hollow like before...
I quickly shook my head, and now that will make me have a crush on them. And make it awkward around them. I placed a hand on my face, realising I was a hopeless romantic. Something my Asian household would make fun of.
I turned my head to the side, seeing Renji watching me from the couch, "What you making?" he asked.
I looked at the items on the table, tilting my head to the side, "I was planning to eat the leftovers in the fridge," I said, turning to him.
He lowered himself into the couch, "I may have eaten the leftovers," he scratched his cheek with his index finger. I leaned my hip on the counter, MY MAKKU! I sighed, "I guess I have to cook then," I stretched and went over to the stove.
I grabbed a packet of instant noodles and a pot. I filled the pot with water and placed it on an active stove. I placed the lid on top and I turned to Abarai-Kun, my arms crossed. "So, what did you do today?" I asked him.

He shrugged, "The regular. Y'know Shinigami stuff..."
I raised an eyebrow, "You stayed in and did nothing, huh?"
"You didn't give me the keys to the house," he said, "And most of the Hollow spottings were far away from here so the others had to handle it."
I walked over to him, giving him the key to the house, "Here, before I forget again." He looked at the keys with a look, "You know how to use that?" I asked him.
He scoffed, "Yes, I do," but then he continued looking at it weirdly.
I grabbed the key and his wrist, pulling him to the front door. "You see this?" I pointed to the locked. "You take this," I showed him the key, "And you put it in here," I stabbed the lock with the key, "And then you turn it, clockwise." I took out the key and hand it to him, "It's simple," I took a step back, "Now you do it."
He took the key and did exactly what I taught him. He took the key out and nodded, "Thanks," he said, walking back into the house. I walked in with him, closing the door behind me and twisting the lock.
The water in the pot was boiling. I placed the noodles in and closed the lid again. I took out a few things from the fridge and grabbed a knife and a chopping board. I looked at Renji, "Should I make extras or...?" in response, his stomach growled. He let out a nervous chuckle, his cheeks tinted red.
I walked over to the pot and threw another instant noodle into the boiling water. "You wanna help?" I asked, "It's okay if you say no," I always had an uncomfortable feeling asking someone to help. It made me feel like I was a burden.

Renji got onto his feet, "It's the least a freeloader could do..." he stood beside me.
"You know how to dice and cut, right?" I asked him. "Don't answer that, you have a Katana and you're a lieutenant," I slide mushrooms and a carrot to him on the chopping board. I handed him the kitchen knife, "You dice the carrots, cut the mushrooms' stem and cut it into three, okay?" he nodded. "I'm going to change, knock if something happens," I walked into my room.
I closed the door behind me and threw myself on the bed. I pushed my back to the desk. I proceed to remove my socks first. They still itched from the first day. I removed my other clothing until I was only in my undergarments. I threw a towel on myself as I lay on the bed.
I stared at the ceiling. I started thinking about Aizen. But quickly I wiped the thought out of my head. Thinking about him was the worse thing I could do. Orihime came into my mind. She was friendly. When she came up to me on the first day, the first thing I thought was she was cute. I furrowed my eyebrows, wait do I have a crush on her? That thought played around in my head. She probably has a boyfriend, I nodded. I mean, someone like her probably had a crush or already had a boyfriend.
I took a zip-up hoodie out of the closet with a pair of blue floral pants. I unlocked the door and went over to the kitchen. Renji was leaning against the counter, looking at the pot. I looked at the counter. He...He cut up every ingredient I had on the counter. "So, are we stir-frying the noodles or are we eating it soup?" he asked, a smug smirk on his lips.
"Your choice," I grabbed a pan, placing it on the stove. I took all the diced ingredients and threw them all into the pan, watching it sizzle in the oil.
"I like soup," Renji said, looking over my shoulder.
"You want eggs with that?" I asked, turning my head to look at him. He was tall, so I had to look up.
"Sure."
I left the pan, quickly opening the seasoning packet. I quickly poured the powder into the pot as I kept my eyes on the pan, hoping the veggies and protein don't burn. I turned off the stove for both and poured the pan into the pot. I served the noodles in two separate bowls and I started cooking an egg for Abarai-Kun.
