《The Photobooth; rodrick x reader♡》nine

It was Friday afternoon after a very exhausting week of exams. I went home and collapsed on my bed and stared up at the ceiling. That moment lasted 20 seconds when I got a notification from my phone. It was from Rodrick.
Hey, how'd u do on ur exams?
probably failed, let's not talk about it
i bet u completed aced everything
compared to you, probably
HARSH anyway, u doing anything this weekend?
OH I ALMOST FORGOT! i'm having a sleepover at a friends house tomorrow
which friend?
why does it matter??
u only have 2 friends, just tell me which pls
kim's house
great, she lives next door to Chris and if i happen to run into u that'll be a total coincidence
I stare at my phone. I felt my cheeks getting hot, feelings are dumb.
"Y/N??" I hear my moms voice as she knocks on the door. "Yeah?" I say as I quickly turn off my phone. "Your father and I will be going out to dinner tomorrow, I just wanted to remind you so you know you'll be home alone tomorrow"
"Oh actually I'll be having a sleepover at my friends Kim's house. Sorry, I completely forgot about it until now." I tell my mom. "Oh that's nice, just promise me they'll be no boys there?" She asks me raising an eyebrow.
I grin "I won't be seeing any boys at all" I tell her smiling. That was partially true. They'll be no boys at the sleepover but if I happen to run into Rodrick then that's just a coincidence.
I spent the rest of Friday night just relaxing. It was nice to finally have some fun after the really stressful week I just had.
I woke up very excited the next day. I couldn't wait to see my friends, and maybe even Rodrick who knows.

It was also going to be really cool to get to hangout with my friends all night. I haven't been on a sleepover since I was probably 8 years old? honestly I don't even remember but I was really looking forward to tonight.
As I hopped into my dads car I realized I almost forgot my bag. That would've been really bad. I run up to my room grabbing my small backpack when I see that my pokémon keychain has fallen out. The one me and Rodrick both have. I smile as I put it back on the bag.
I get into my dads car confident I had everything with me this time and he drove me to Kim's house.
I almost barged into Kim's house when I remembered I had to take off my shoes. Kim was korean and I always forgot that she doesn't wear shoes indoors.
"Hello Mrs.Choi" I tell Kim's mom. "Hello Y/N , Madison and Kim are already upstairs" I thanked her for having me over and I went upstairs to see my friends.
I barged into Kim's room and sat down on the floor with her and Madison. Kim's room was really clean. It was mostly white with a few plants around. I don't know how it's possible for someone's room to look this nice because my room is a huge mess compared to hers. We start joking around when I notice a book on her bedside.
"Dairy Of A Wimpy Kid? really you still read this?" I tease her. She laughs "I found this when cleaning last night, I haven't read it since I was a kid so I read a little bit last night". I laugh at her. "Shut up, its still really funny, even to this day" She defends herself.
"You're right" I tell her. I used to love those books so much and they were so nostalgic. "You guys know those books aren't realistic though," Madison says "It's not like characters act like that in real life" She adds on.

"This is kind of embarrassing but I used to have a crush on the older brother character" I tell my friends. They both laugh at me. "No way" Madison says.
Not long after that conversation we ordered pizza. After awhile I looked out of Kim's window. The pizza should be coming soon. I noticed you could directly see into Chris's room from her window.
"Kim??" I ask her "Yeah?" She says. "Why is it that you can see into Chris Lopez's bedroom from your window" I ask her. She blushed a little bit "We've lived here our whole life, it's not weird okay" She tries to defend herself. I smirk "Sure" I say.
"It's like you could film a Taylor Swift video with your houses" I say jokingly. "What?" Madison asks. "Nevermind" I tell her.
Just then the doorbell rang and I looked out the window to see the delivery man. I also saw a white truck with the words "Löded Diaper" pull up to Chris's house. Rodrick was going to see Chris after all. Me and my friends run downstairs to get the pizza and we bring it up to eat in Kims room.
We ate the pizza and we heard this loud music coming from Chris's house. It must've been Rodrick and him practicing for their band. It was only around 2 pm so we decided to watch a movie. It was some cliché rom com. It was okay I guess but my friends seemed more invested in the story than I was.
I decide to check my phone during the movie and I see I have a text message from Rodrick.
Not trying to be creepy but I can see u from Chris's window
That's kinda creepy bro 🥴
I decided to take a photo of Rodrick on his drums from Kims window. I had to do it as casually as I could so my friends wouldn't notice. I didn't need them teasing me about my obvious crush. "I'm going to go use the bathroom" I excuse myself from the movie and while walking to the bathroom I quickly stopped at Kim's window and took a kinda blurry picture.
I sent the picture to Rodrick and pretended to use the bathroom. I came back and apparently some sad scene had happened because my friends were literally in tears. "You guys are such babies" I tell them.
After the movie was over I checked my phone and Rodrick still hadn't seen my message.
"Hey why don't we play truth or dare?" I ask my friends.
