《Scars Of Regret | COMPLETED✔️》CHAPTER 25

The sudden cold breeze blew through my thin full sleeve shirt made me wrapped my arms around me tightly. Earlier I didn't even think to get my coat from the rack and just ran out to nowhere in particular.
Stupid me..
Deep Night had fallen fast upon us with only a matt black canvas sky with no stars to be looked upon. Not more than some hours ago this place was covered with frenzy but now just some officers were out there investigating some people. It was a lot more calm now.
Ethan lead me to what I guess his bike. For all I know we didn't ride on it all the way from Leo's house to here.
How was it here?
"I asked Mr. Kim to get it delivered it here if that's what you're thinking," He turned back around and noticed my shivering self before took off his black leather jacket and put it around me.
I glanced at him to refuse but his look of 'Don't, you need more than me' stopped me before I slide my arms into the sleeves.
It was filled with his body heat.
He swing his leg over and got on his cruiser. This black motorcycle had so many of our sweet memories. We have rode on it together almost every night.
He wore his black helmet, cheeks pads pressed against his cheeks making a little pout. I swear no matter how much I deny he'd be forever the hottest man I've ever seen.
Shut your mouth Aria!
He revved the engine as the loud noise of it made the dusty atmosphere around before he looked over to me, waiting for me to get on.
"Trust me Aria and get on already please," He sighed in contempt but without wasting a time I got on his back and gripped the back of it.
Suddenly the air was a lot tense. Though I've rode uncountable times on this with him but it's not the same as then.
We were sitting hell close to each other.
A faint sense of compunction made him tilt his head sideways when I didn't put my arms around him. Only if he knew how much I wanted to do that and never let go.
"You can hold me Aria if you want to, I don't really mind," His request made me bit my lip in hesitation. I curled and uncurled my fist but then put my arms on the sides of his waist but as he revved his engine, the jerk of the bike made me fall forwards and wrapped my arms tight around him.

My face heated up as it was close to his shoulder.
With that we took off from the hospital ground to wherever he wanted me to take. All I care was he was here right in my arms. The fact that he gave me his jacket left him just only in his full sleeves shirt through which I'd feel his abs but I didn't put my flat palms over them and held my other wrist by right hand.
That'd be embarrassing.
The dark silent road turned into the street full of white bright lampposts but there was no one around, just us floating through the cold sea breeze. The thought about whatever had happened between us made me sick so I put my head on his back side ways and tighten my grip around him.
He didn't stiff or anything but relaxed.
Mom once said,
'You'll face a lot of things in life, you'd be put on test, people will mess around with your emotions cause it's a part of life but fighting with it and exploring out of them will let you know how strong you're.'
My eyes were closed as the words roamed in my head under the night sky. Stars weren't there today to comfort but Ethan's presence never made me feel the emptiness all this time.
We continue to rode in pure silence. None of us uttered anything. I was so absent minded that I didn't realize we were there and Ethan was calling me.
"We are here Aria. You can let go so I can take you there," A soft chuckle of his made me undo my hands around him awkwardly and hopped off his bike.
"Don't worry it's not a prank or anything. As you said before I'm not that heartless," He took my hand and what I saw was we made our way to a Lake?
A huge beautiful dark Lake was illuminated by the moonlight. It was caged by the trees and a small piling dock. The only sound that was audible were maybe crickets. I knew he'd never take me to some place in the midst of forest with wild animal.
He took off his shoes and I did the same. We sat on the end of the dock before he dipped his feet.No way I was doing that.

What if some crocodile or sharks bit me?
"Do it, you'll feel good. It's not freezing and from the look on your face No, there are no sharks Aria," His voice was filled with concerned with a hint of amuse. So I dunked my sore feet.
And damn it felt so good.
We sat there looking above, searching for the diamonds but the night glory was alone and was accompanied by the moon only.
"Why you never brought me here before?" I asked while he looked deep in my eyes for an answer.
"Maybe now was the reason for it to be come out and console us? I don't know maybe the thought never came in my mind," He stated and shrugged as the silence fell again.
"What are you thinking?" The sudden question made me think.
What was I thinking?, I couldn't even comprehend myself. It was nothing but...
"Nothing but trying to focus on these indistinct voices in my head. Trying to tell me something but all I'm getting is a mess. so many scary echoes," I whispered but I knew he heard every word clearly.
"Is one of the voice belong to me?" He hinted as he peeked over to my side profile before I looked back in his dark glittery orbs.
"That's the problem Ethan, I don't know maybe, maybe not, maybe it got lost somewhere because of our broken love string, the fact that it's so loud in my head sometimes, It's like a foreign land. I can't recognize even one voice so how'd I know if one of them was yours?" As If I stated the biggest truth, my answer sealed his mouth with the stitches of my words.
He breathed out in cold before stuffed his hand in his jeans pocket which made a small faint clicking sound. I watched curiously as he took out something. The little dainty piece shimmered under the light and I recognized it.
My locket.
"I've been trying to return this for a long time but didn't get a chance so I brought it with me to Leo's house. I knew you were coming for the stay over," I kept looking between my locket and then back at him. My eyes filled with unshed tears.
"May I?" He whispered softly. Serenity beamed from his look as I pulled my hairs to one side and turned my back to him.
He took the hint and I'd feel a small smile on his face. The cold metal chain caressed my skin with Love tickles. The serendipity I never knew existed till now.
Turning back around I eyed it dangling around it's actual place, around my neck made me feel so many things together.
"You need this now. I'm sorry for everything I've done Aria. To you to everyone. I know I was being douche. F*ck I don't even know what was happening to me," He apologized.
I scooted closer as our thighs brushed against each other and put my head on his shoulder. My eyes were closed as I took a deep breathe of peace. My heart was calm, not like before some storm but calmness as spring was coming.
"I forgive you Ethan," I whispered in silence. Even though I told him before it wasn't his fault but this came out on his own.
"And I'm here Aria," He breathed out before leaned in, kissed the side of my forehead softly, interlaced our fingers and held it tightly on his thighs.
My heart skipped a beat.
We sat for some time there. The sun had started to bloom from it's horizon behind the trees cascading the copper hues all over the nature giving them new meaning. The color that brings a gentle passion to the soul. Wispy cirrus clouds were forming it's own strands above us.
The lake was so calm as If was enchanted by the dawn with oak trees swinging along in eternal dance under the spell of Nightingale's song.
Everything was reflecting our emotions. Serendipity.
We kept sitting there attracted to all of that and lost the time. Maybe it was six in the morning. A yawn escaped my mouth as Ethan checked his watch and then we decided to leave. Dad must've been awake or I hoped he was.
I silently prayed.
