___________

The bell rang signalling the end of class finally, as all students started to exit the class, me and Gwen did the same.

Physics class was usual, boring with some stupid equations which flew over my head, luckily Gwen was there with me but no offense she passed whole 45 minutes by painting her nails.

Which did look good by the way.

Gwen and I had two classes together which included physics and English.

English was next, Which we were about to go.

Well I always had good grades so English was my Favorite subject.

"Hey_Have you seen Leo?" It was Gwen who asked, as we reached our lockers to pulled out our stuff, so far my day has been going well.

Hope it wouldn't get ruined anytime soon.

The hallway was almost empty with just some group of students scattered. They must be in the cafeteria.

"I don't think so, he__ wasn't in maths with me, so I guess he either skipped school or-" My sentence was cut off by the rant that came.

"Go Fuck yourself Leo," We turned to see Leo and some blonde at the corner of corridor. The girl said pretty harshly on which Leo slightly shrugged and turned his head as his eyes fell upon us standing by lockers.

He smiled which result in dimples..before walking to us.

Leo Evans, 17 year old who has girls all around him but won't stay more than a day.

We met through Gwen, Her and Leo's parents were family friends and partners in business so they had been together since they were what? five or Six.

But they never get along.

"Oh Hi guys, hey Aria, how you doing my muffin?" He said putting his arm around my shoulder. Him calling me Muffin had another behind story.

Leo seemed free of worries, he was with us when things went pretty shitty. But as if he got over it soon. I mean it was good that he didn't drown too deep like me.

He lost someone too, A friend specifically, maybe he was good at hiding his pain behind those dark green eyes, which had always showed euphoria, or it was his persona.

"I'm here too," Gwen cleared her throat getting attention of us. She already look annoyed.

"Oh hi there dracula," I controlled so hard not to laugh at it.

Well Leo always had a thing for Gwen's hair. She had a very unique hair color, which she inherited from her mothers, beside her father was a pure Brunette.

Gwen was about to comeback to Leo when I asked pointing to his previous spot with that girl. "So what happened back there?"

"Don't tell me, you are going out with another one," Gwen scoffed with a Eye roll.

Leo never had a proper relationship. He was always into dating. He did date more than ten girls in two months in junior high.

"Shut up you female malfoy," Leo said to Gwen. God these two would never stop.

"Well she asked if I like dogs, and I said yes, I have a bitch," He explained as Gwen and I shared a look and burst out laughing.

This was how Leo was, When we all used to have gatherings back then, he had always entertained us.

"That wasn't a joke guys, I have miri and she's a female, so what did I do wrong?" I didn't know what to say but Leo really needed some classes on how to date a girl.

There had always been Something he said to girls on which they turned out.

"Oh my God, stop please, this is too funny, Leo you practically told her she's the bitch you were talking about," Gwen said wiping the tears at the corner of her eyes.

He watched us with soft eyes. Every time we had hard times in past or anything, Leo always put a smile on our faces.

"At least you both laughed," He paused as we got sober. "It's been so long since I saw you two laugh. You know I kind of missed it." Leo said as he put his hands on both of our shoulders. There was rarely some students in corridor now.

I smiled softly as we started to walk to our class.

"Well she kind of didn't deserve you, you'll find someone better," This time it was me who said it.

Leo was such a pure soul, he would never break a heart.

"You wanna hear a dad joke?" He amused making me and Gwen share a look.

"Oh no we're getting late," Gwen shrugged off his hand, before grabbing mine and running off.

Gwen has some kind of allergy to his dad jokes, I mean c'mon they were pretty funny.

Leo and I got close when we were in history class back in junior high and he cracked some dad jokes and no one laughed except me.

It was funny, I didn't know why no one laughed.

"OK then I'll see you guys later, I guess." I heard him say behind me as he put his earphones and his hood on before scurried away to the main gate, probably skipping another class.

°°°°°°

We entered the cafeteria, which was filled with students, luckily our seat was empty. To our right was the food counter.

Instantly all eyes were on us, as the silence fell upon in the cafeteria.

Gwen and I tried to ignore and went to our seat at the back of the cafeteria.

"What? Mind your own business!!" Gwen shouted as my eyes widened, I grabbed her sleeve and pulled it to bring her to her seat.

"Gwen! sit down, it's Ok," I whispered screamed, not to get more attention. I sighed slightly stared down at the table before looking out the glass window by our seat. "They are probably not over it."

"No it's not ok, I know how you feel Aria, and they are not helping," Gwen was so frustrated, not on the students staring but on whatever we were pretending on outside. We all were same inside to an year back, we were scared to what happened.

Suddenly it was just faint noises to me, when a sharp pain hit in my stomach. The surrounding started to get blurry and I eyed Gwen to see she was typing something on her phone before she looked at me.

"I'll be back," My voice came out hollow as I hurried out of the cafeteria to the washroom as the nausea hit me. Gwen must had been following me as I heard some rushed footsteps behind me.

It had been whole three months I started my medications prescribed by Dr. Melanie, and I stopped them except my antidepressants cause I was too nauseous all the time. Now it was happening again.

I opened the stall door and threw up, tasted just acid and water, I didn't eat well so it was all.

"ARIA!! WHAT HAPPENED?" Gwen's voice reached my ear as I stood up weakly and opened the tap before splashed some water on my face and rinsed my mouth.

"Nothing just upset stomach," She didn't seem to buy it but I smiled slightly assured her.

The concern didn't leave her face though.

"You sure?, maybe you should get leave," Suggesting she looked worried. Although going home wouldn't help either but it would be better than all the stares. I did plan to look for job but seems like I would do it some other time.

"Yeah I think I should go home, I'll take some sleep and it will all better," I put my bag on my shoulder and left the washroom with Gwen going to her class after making sure I was fine and I didn't need a ride from her.

Sometimes I wish I could've die that day instead of her. So I wouldn't be facing these all.

Could life have some mercy on me?
