《How To Train Your Giant (DNF)》Ch 29 - Mending Hearts

The giants tried to clear the ashes as it still rained around them. Wilbur looked around the area where Colossal had fallen
"No!" he whimpered as tears streamed his eyes. "George!" he cried as he covered his face
"OVER HERE!" Sam yelled as he tried to lift Colossal's body. The other giants ran to help him as they lifted the body
Underneath was Dream as he was covered in Colossal's blood, ash, and dirt. They pulled him out as Wilbur noticed he was curled up
He found no sign of George, but at least Dream was breathing. He opened his eyes weakly as he noticed the king, crying
"I'm sorry!" he cried, "He was right! What have I done? I am the worst! Now he's dead because of me!"
Dream sighed as Wilbur felt warm air from his breath. The giant uncurled his body, revealing his hands cupped. He opened them as Wilbur gasped, "GEORGE!"
The prince was saved as Wilbur checked his heartbeat. "He's alive!" he said in relief as everyone cheered
He looked at the green eyed giant as he bowed his head, "Thank you! I owe you for saving him."
Dream just chuckled weakly, "Don't mention it." He coughed as Kristen picked up the blonde giant and flapped her wings
"I'll take him to New L'Manburg to get him healed," Kristen said as she picked up Phil to come with her
The others carried their weapons to the boats while Wilbur carried George bridal style. He took him into the boat as the giants pushed the boats back home
Wilbur covered George with a blanket as the prince coughed and woke up. Everything was kind of fuzzy as he could see the figure of his father
"Where's Dream?" George asked as Wilbur made sure he rested. "He went to get his wounds tended. He injured himself to protect you."

: Dream saved me...again?
: Yeah
: Tell him...I'll meet him...at the lake
: What lake?
: After...I'm good...to go...and no need...to know...dad
: Alright, have some rest
George woke up in a bed as he noticed he was outside. "What the hell?" he questioned as he heard someone behind speak, "It was my idea."
"Dream! You're ok!" George smiled as the giant gently nuzzled George. The prince noticed he was covered in bandages as Dream chuckled, "I healed myself, let me do yours."
Dream placed his finger on George's chest softly as he sent magic circulating around the prince's body
George felt his body becoming stronger and newer. Once done, Dream helped the brunette up as he softly pinched George's hand to help him up
"Whoa! Easy, Georgie," Dream said as George nearly stumbled. He walked and felt the need to run as he smiled, then laughed
Dream followed the brunette as George laughed and motioned for him to come close. "Come on, Dream! Don't be shy!"
: Now why would I?
: You always stutter with me
: N-No I d-d-don't!
: I proved my point
Dream sighed as he said, "You are so annoying." George hugged Dream's finger as the giant purred at the affectionate human
"Hey George," Wilbur called as his eyes widened, "How are you all better?!" George giggled, "I did mention Dream is a Healer."
"Oh! I forgot!" Wilbur laughed nervously as he cleared his throat, "I wanted to ask if you'd like to do the honors of beginning our ceremony."
: Can I have Dream next to me?
: Yes
: What ceremony?
: We're now letting giants in. We now welcome them - wild or tamed!
: No more cages?
: No more, Dream
The giant licked the king as he gagged and ran to wash himself. Both young lovers laughed as Dream sighed, "So at what time?"

George stood up and smiled, looking up at his boyfriend, "Now."
"We have battled a great war against the Colossal! We have won, with the help of our giants! We will now welcome them, but they must be approved by our Prince, the Giant Tamer!" Wilbur announced as the crowd cheered
George smiled as his mother gave him his crown, but it was updated. It had emerald stones on his golden crown
"In remembrance of Dream," she smiled as George hugged her. Dream was gifted with a crown as well, but of blue bonnets and cornflowers
"George loves the color blue, and he told me to give it to you," Karl said as Dream hugged the young giant
The crowd cheered as Dream and George turned to look at their new empire. Giants were now in their territory, without being attacked
Both smiled as Dream picked up the human prince. He kissed him on the lips as the crowd cheered louder
"Another one?" Dream said smugly as George nodded shyly, turning red like he first did when he met Dream
Both kissed as the giants clapped and the humans congratulated the young boys for their love, that went from forbidden, to peace

Suddenly, a succubus
The protagonist is a personality like an iceberg: introspective, asocial and completely uninterested in the world and its people beyond necessity. Approaching ships beware! A succubus, on the other hand, lives for desire and interaction, playing mortal hearts like a fiddle. These clearly mix like oil and water, so what do you get when you combine them? This is a story of that kind of emulsion. *** Completed with 62 chapters + epilogue (total of 111k words). *** This novel is bit of an experiment for me. I haven't written fiction before, for one. I also chose a character context that I normally wouldn't, and let the characters drive the story, especially in the beginning. Overall the main focus will be the main character's own story rather than the events of the world. The setting itself uses many familiar fantasy elements, though I plan to add my own twists. Note that I'm not really planning to write any steamy scenes, despite the said character context being literal demons of lust and all. There are of course jokes and scenes that skirt around the subject, but this is not a romance story of any kind. So, is it a mess? Probably. But I hope it's an entertaining one at that.

Inertia
A man is summoned to another world by a goddess after completing the nigh impossible final boss of a game. However, this world isn't your typical fantasy world. Though it has magic, it is set far into the future where technology reigns, and magic itself is just a finely-tuned science. How will our hero survive in a galaxy that looks down upon humans? One where his race, which once reigned supreme, is treated like trash along the roadside. Will he, with his diverse crew, be able to save the galaxy while fixing the hostility between the races?
