《How To Train Your Giant (DNF)》Ch 7 - Meeting

George woke up very early and wore travel clothing. He tiptoed out of his castle and went to the stable to get his horse
He looked at the map and placed it away as he led his horse to the area where he made his "kill"
After a while, he found the trench and tied the reins near a tree at the beginning of the trench and walked slowly
He walked deeper and found a huge area with a pond, trees, and rocks. It looked like a sanctuary with walls high enough for a giant to stay, unless they can climb over
George climbed down. He walked towards the pond and washed his face. He sighed and looked around and stiffened
He only stiffens when someone is watching him, and here was the feeling. He looked around and stood up to see who it was
He heard a soft growl and turned to see the figure. He came back! He was on fours and growled as George nervously walked back, still facing the giant
"Hey, there! Remember me?" George spoke nervously as the giant stopped and sat up. He stared and led out a low growl
"Seems like you do," George mumbled, and to his surprise, the giant heard him. He growled as George noticed his right arm and left leg were bleeding from the ropes
"You're hurt! Let me help you," George assured as the giant growled and the human stayed back in his spot
George opened the package Phil gave him and the food grew to the giant's level. The giant sniffed and looked at it as he noticed some utensils were also given
He got closer to the food and tried a bit. He smiled and ate more as George quietly made his way towards the right arm

The giant lifted his hood sleeve and ate more as George sighed and took out a spray. He stiffened and sprayed, hearing the giant growl in pain and hiss at the human
George fell on his butt as he whimpered. The giant was close to George as the human felt anger bubbling inside
He lost it, "LISTEN! I KNOW I HARMED YOU! I AM SORRY, BUT YOU NEED TO SEE THAT I AM TRYING TO HELP YOU! I AM RISKING MY LIFE TO SEE YOU TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE FINE! IF YOU WANT TO KILL ME, WHY DIDN'T YOU DO IT WHEN I FREED YOU!? YOU HAD THE FUCKING CHANCE AND NOW I'M HERE TO FIX IT!!"
The giant was surprised and sat back up. George heard the giant whimper and he watched him lie down on his stomach and placed water on his injury
George noticed he couldn't heal himself. "You lost your power?" The giant nodded and washed his dried blood off
The prince got close as he took out the giant rolls of bandages. The giant lifted his arm up and George dressed the wound
Once done, he used tape to keep it in place and walked towards his left leg. "If you don't mind," George asked as the giant rolled his pant leg up and revealed his injury
"This will sting," George said as he sprayed the leg, hearing a wince as the giant sighed. George placed the bandage on and stepped away as the giant looked at him with surprise
"Leave it like that for 1 week and you should be fine. I'll come to check on you tomorrow, ok?" he assured as the giant slowly nodded
As George was about to leave, he turned to see the giant staring back. "By the way, my name's George, what's yours?"

The giant looked away and with his finger on the ground, he wrote his name. "Dream? I like it. I'll see you tomorrow!" George smiled and ran off
He followed the trench back and found his horse. He rode back to his castle and put his horse away. He ran to his room and changed into his training clothing and ran towards the arena
He met Phil as he went with him towards the cages. "How did it go?" Phil asked as George smiled, but he felt his face heat up as well
: Thank god I'm alive!
: Did he attempt to kill you?
: Yeah, but I think he now understands I am here to help
: Great!
: I yelled at him! I know it's bad, but he wasn't letting me tend his wounds!
: Yelling at a wild giant or a wild tamed is a horrible idea. They can kill you right there and then
: I know, but he wasn't listening, and he finally let me
: So he didn't attack?
: Nope. He was just surprised and I bandaged his wounds
: Well, are you going back?
: Of course
George smiled as Phil smiled. George left and Phil turned to see the giants as some snickered and some shook their heads
: What is it?
: He's developing feelings for it
: And?
: Both are men! Is it possible?
: It is. I'm just surprised George has feelings for a mythical giant, and also hearing the fact he almost killed the prince
: Do you think peace will be brought back?
: I do believe. Give them time. All of you will be out of the cages in no time. Just let George tame him until it is safe for you all to come out
Phil walked back home and noticed a shadow leaving from the castle. He sighed, "Better be careful, George. If you mess up, your giant will no longer be yours."

Elder's Game
In a world set upon by an ancient threat, a new cycle of civilisation competes for power and resources. Amidst the games and politicking of Elder beings, the masses are unknowingly ensnared in plots and schemes that were centuries in the making. At the heart of the world’s workings lies the Tyreal Valley—a land that promises to fulfil the desires of those who seek it. As a haven for the truly strong, the path to this promise is paved more often than not in warfare and blood. To two young stragglers fighting for more than just their own fates, it is left as their only answer. But maybe that’s just what their enemies want. Magic system vaguely similar to GameLit ones (no system nor interface to help), with certain elements that are a bit more analogue. Politics, war, looming apocalypse, a tiny dash of kingdom building, and a minor bit of crafting. There is a bit of a progression element as well as both environmental and cultural exploration. The story follows two youths more directly influenced by aforementioned Elder beings than most. Neither lead cares for politics but certain situations force them into participating, forcing them to make decisions that shape their morality. Initially, the focus is on the male lead as he comes of age in an environment with little scope to change his future, only to be thrust into new circumstances that permanently kill some of his hopes. 3k words every chapter

Theomancer
My very own first book: I know it won't be perfect, so any constructive criticism would be appreciated. A peculiar reject from modern society ends up as one of the summoned people in another world, but will the premise hold up to the reality of things? only one way to find out! Follow an irascible Darwin's adventures while he pioneers his class in a whole new world, where colors and willpower are two of the most important things, besides respecting the Gods (and avoiding stronger pricks that are just waiting for an excuse to trample someone). -first-person, portal fantasy, litrpg -the cover is my crude attempt with Paint
