"Care to explain everything?" Rick asks in a sigh, kneeling in front of Sakiko.
Sakiko plays with her fingers, unable to meet her leader's eyes.
"Like how you know that woman?" Rick continues.
Michonne was passed out once more after Hershel had sewn her wound back up. A gunshot wound that she hadn't answered where she got it from.
"Kiko?" Rick asks, gentle as ever.
Carefully, Sakiko raises her head and peeks to Daryl before looking to Rick's striking eyes.
"Nanami's alive.." she breathes, "So is Merle."
"What?" Daryl asks, stepping forward.
Fearful, Sakiko's arms cross around herself protectively, "Nanami found me when I was out there. They're in a town."
"That woman.." Rick recalls.
"She found Nanami after the farm. Nanami was with Andrea but she.." Sakiko sighs, "And Michonne helped him after."
"Michonne," Daryl repeats, "Then, what?"
Sakiko remembers just how much Nanami had changed and closes her eyes, "Nanami and I got into a fight. Michonne said that place wasn't safe. So, she and I left."
"Nanami and Merle are still there?" Rick questions and Sakiko nods her head.
A scraping sound comes from the other room, Rick patting Sakiko's shoulder and hurrying to where Michonne was slowly waking up with Carl watching her.
"Hey," Daryl softly calls, taking the spot Rick had previously been.
"They're not the same," Sakiko shakes her head, "Nanami.. He's different. Merle, too."
Daryl, with a thousand thoughts running through his head, only tugs the teen closer into his arms- tucking her head under his chin and rocking her back and forth.
--
"She won't talk to us," Rick sighs as Daryl and Sakiko walk into the room, "Kiko.."
Sakiko takes a step closer to Michonne who looked like a wounded animal being cornered by strangers.
"Why are you here?" Sakiko asks, "Did you follow me?"
"No. After you went off, I went my way. Found more of your people, though," Michonne tells the girl.
"My people?" Sakiko repeats.

"A young Asian guy with a pretty girl. She called him Glenn. You mentioned him back there, too," Michonne remembers the name coming up during the twins' argument.
"Glenn and Maggie?" Ryan asks, stepping closer with wide eyes.
"What happened?"
Michonne glares at her gunshot wound, "That asshole took 'em. Took 'em both to Woodbury."
"They were on a run," Hershel notes, "Out looking for Kiko and the baby some formula."
Wordlessly, Michonne looks to the basket of formula that she'd picked up after they'd been taken.
"You know the way back?" Rick asks Michonne.
"I'm not going back to that hellhole," Michonne denies.
"Then why did you tell us?" Rick demands.
Michonne looks to Sakiko, "Because maybe you can save all three if you go."
Remembering Michonne's words before she stormed off, Sakiko sighs.
"Can you draw us a map?" Rick asks, still desperate to get their people back.
Not breaking eyes from Michonne, Sakiko wills her voice to speak, "I'll go. I know how."
"Nah," Daryl quickly argues, "You ain't putting yourself at risk after you just got back."
"I know where to go," she reminds, "I was there."
"She's telling us," Daryl points to Michonne, "I ain't sending my kid into this shit."
"So, you gonna let your other kid stay behind those walls under some dictator's control?" Michonne challenges.
Walking to Daryl, Sakiko gently places her hand on his arm, "I can go. I know where I'm going."
"Nah," Daryl shakes his head.
"Daryl," Rick calls, "Trust her. If she says she can get us there, she can. This is for Glenn and Maggie."
Looking to Sakiko, Daryl felt dizzy. His girl was going to drive him mad before he turned forty.
"Fine. You don't get more than five feet from me, though. You understand?" Daryl asks.
"Noted," Sakiko nods, a tiny smile on her lips as she turns back to Michonne, "You come, too."
"I already said-"

"I was in two places the whole time I was there. You know your place around there better than I do. We need you," Sakiko argues before Michonne could say anything else.
Michonne couldn't remember the last time someone said they needed her. And meant it, at that.
"Fine," Michonne caves.
"I'm coming, too," Ryan speaks, "That's my brother."
"Me too," Beth steps up, "My sister."
"Bethy, it's safest you stay back," Hershel denies.
"Then, I'll go," Oscar assures, "Y'all saved my ass multiple times now. It's time I pull my weight."
"Okay," Rick nods, "Everyone pack up. We leave in an hour."
--
"Hey, Merle!" Nanami calls.
"Hey, son," Merle greets, wiping the blood from his nose and keeping it hidden from the teen, "What ya need?"
"What happened to you?" Nanami asks, taking quick note of the wound.
"Ah," Merle sighs, trying to come up with a quick lie, "Friendly fights. Martinez and I had a bet going."
"Doesn't look too friendly to me," Nanami comments.
"He's a sore loser," Merle shrugs, "What did you need?"
"I'm going out," Nanami turns a bit to show Merle his bag on his back, "I'll be back before curfew."
"Where you going?" Merle asks, landing a hand on the teen's shoulder before he could leave.
Nanami sighs, figuring it's safest to be honest with Merle, "I'm gonna try and find Sakiko and Michonne. Sakiko isn't in the right mind since losing Daryl and Michonne isn't good at being alone in general."
"They made their choice. It's not on you to go back and clean up their messes," Merle denies, "How about me and you go watch a movie?"
"I should really find them," Nanami shakes his head, "Maybe tonight when I get back."
As Nanami begins walking away again, Merle jogs to catch up to him, "Why does it matter so much? They left you behind, so why are you chasing after 'em?"
"They're still family," Nanami frowns, "The only family I have."
"We're family," Merle rephrases, "They chose to leave and put their asses on the line out there. That's on them."
"That's on me for driving them both out," Nanami defends, "It's a mess that I helped make, so I should clean it up."
Nanami gets a few feet away before Merle tries again-
"What about the others? Officer Friendly and his crew?"
Nanami sighs again, unsure of that situation himself.
"They left both you kids behind before and let Daryl get killed," Merle reminds, "They ain't worth it."
Merle's words were so similar to the ones Nanami used against Sakiko that it sent a chill down his spine.
"Doesn't that just mean I should get Sakiko from them even more?" Nanami questions.
"You angry at 'em?" Merle suddenly asks.
"I mean.." Nanami shrugs, "I've moved on from that. Shane was the biggest issue and he's gone now. Maybe it's better."
"And Daryl?"
"Sakiko said that Shane told her it was that prisoner that killed him. It wasn't really all their fault."
Merle places both hands on Nanami's shoulders, forcing his eyes to stay on his own.
"When your brothers are struggling, their lives are your life," Merle says, that military experience showing, "You give your lives for each other and you don't let your brother down. They let Daryl down. They're just as bad as the asshole that killed him."
"I don't have a brother," Nanami shrugs Merle's hand off him, "I have a sister. And she's out there- alone and not in the shape to take care of herself."
Watching Nanami walk away, Merle curses under his breath before returning to the room he was previously in.
"Was that Nanami?" Glenn asks, spitting blood out from his mouth.
Angrily, Merle lays another punch to Glenn's face- loud enough that Maggie could hear from the other room.
"Yeah, now you see, huh? We all now what happened to my baby brother because of you folk," Merle glares.
"Daryl.." Glenn heaves, "Daryl's alive.."
Merle wishes that he could believe the man. But, even if it was true, he was in too deep to turn back now.

Deviant's Masquerade: Get Ink'd (A Toon Villain Quest/RPG)
Joshua Durand has always lived in someone else’s shadow, a side character in someone else’s show. His brother was the real hero of the tale, or he was until his ‘friends’ stabbed him in the back. Now though, he’s got a chance to step into the spotlight, as long as he’s willing to make a deal with the devil. He doesn’t know if this is the right decision or the wrong one, but what he does know is “It’s showtime!” --- This is forum quest story taking place in the same city/setting as my other stories: The Huntsman's Quest and Hacking Reality stories meaning that while a majority of the plot is made up by me, the major choices as well as what each chapter is about are usually made by the actual readers in forum votes. Additionally, given how this is essentially a story version of a Tabletop game there is also a background RPG system that while the characters aren't necessarily aware of, the readers can see these stats to know how each chosen 'Action' effects their character's development.
