《TROUBLE [twd]》something to you

"I hit five cans," Nanami tells Daryl, "Don't ask how many I missed."
"Wasn't gonna," Daryl scrunches his nose.
Nanami sits down by Daryl's pile of blankets he called a bed in the tent, "Rick said Carl, Ryan, and I can keep working there. Then, we'll be able to do the 'advanced class'."
"'s good," Daryl nods, "Soon enough you'll be a better shot than me."
"Maybe I already am," Nanami shrugs with a smile.
Daryl scoffs, "Yeah.. All right. I'll let you believe that one."
As Nanami tears his boots off, setting them outside the tent, Daryl leans over, "Where's your sister?"
"Don't know.. Think she's with Glenn.. Something happened out there and she hasn't really left his side."
"She finally tell him she got a little crush?" Daryl scoffs.
"No.. He said she had a panic attack," Nanami frowns.
"Why? What the hell happened?"
"Not sure," Nanami hums, "She wasn't shooting- I don't think she even had a gun. But, she freaked out and ran off. Glenn found her by the car having that attack."
When Daryl begins to sit up, Nanami holds his hands out to stop him, "She's with Glenn. She'll be all right. She'll come around."
Though he hated having Sakiko so distant after everything, Daryl lays back down with a sigh.
--
"My sister used to have those," Glenn tells Sakiko, "That's how I knew."
Sakiko nods, poking at the water in the glass that he'd set on the table in front of her. Her head ached still, despite the aspirin that Hershel had given her.
"Do you feel better?" Ryan asks.
Sakiko nods once more, unable to force her mouth into working.
"Hey, Glenn. Could we have a hand with the RV?" T-Dog asks, peering through the front door.

Glenn looks to Sakiko, "Uh.."
Sakiko tilts her head in T's direction, a silent way of telling him to go. Glenn smiles to her, patting her shoulder as he stands and follows T-Dog out of the house. Ryan watches the men leave, catching the sight of the slowly setting sun before it's closed again.
"Hey," Ryan calls, "Wanna see something cool?"
Sakiko shrugs, wishing she had enough energy to tell him that she was exhausted.
"Come on," Ryan urges, standing from his chair, "Follow me."
Sakiko sighs, complying as she gets the strength to stand and walk behind Ryan. He leads them through the house, up the stairs, down another hall, then to a door.
"Maggie showed me this spot," he reveals, stepping out the door, holding a hand to Sakiko.
Sakiko doesn't take the gesture, instead walking out on her own. Her interest sparks as she looks around, seeing they were perched on top of the house in the small balcony.
"I couldn't sleep one night and Maggie saw me. She showed me up here and we tried to point out constellations until I was tired," Ryan reveals, scooting to a sitting position.
Sakiko follows, pulling her knees to her chest as she looks over the beautiful scene before them. The farm was huge- the fields making the sky look limitless as it turned to an array of colors as the sun began to set.
"Now, I come up here all the time. Maggie said this was her favorite spot, now it's mine, too."
Sakiko doesn't question who the 'Maggie' in the conversation is. She only notices how there's a bit of purple in the multi colored sky that makes her feel not so claustrophobic.
"I told Nanami that if he didn't tell Daryl that he saw you, then I would," Ryan reveals, "But, he told him, anyway."

At the reminder of the previous day, Sakiko's eyes drift back to her hands. The hands that opened that door. The hands that let that geek loose.
"I killed a guy," she whispers.
Ryan is the quiet one now, only looking at Sakiko in shock.
"There were these two guys.. They were trying to take my stuff. Then, Daryl found me. They started.." she takes a deep breath, "They started beating him. They hit Nana, too."
Ryan wondered why Nanami had a limp and Daryl had so many more injuries than just his gunshot wound from Andrea.
"There was a geek in one of the stores and I'd shut the door when I saw it.. When they wouldn't stop hitting Daryl, I.. I just opened the door. It bit one of them."
"The geek killed him. Not you," Ryan denies.
"The geek that I let out," Sakiko says, finally meeting Ryan's eyes, "I let it out. I knew it would attack. But, they.. They just wouldn't stop."
"You saved Daryl and Nanami. Yourself, too. Who knows what they would've done," Ryan argues, "You did the right thing."
"I killed a guy," she repeats, the words feeling wrong on her tongue, "I killed someone, Ryan."
"Well, it's been months of this life. Maybe they should've known better to keep an eye out for geeks. They could've fought it off if they paid attention more."
Sakiko rolls her eyes, "That's not the point."
"No, you're right. It isn't the point. The point is.." he begins, scooting closer to her, "That you saved your dad and brother."
"Daryl's not my dad," she admits, picking at her fingernails.
"And Glenn isn't my brother," Ryan adds.
"I'm serious," she glares.
"So am I," Ryan shrugs, "We're not related. Not really. My mom married his dad. But, we're not really brothers."
"You're closer family than me and Daryl," she shrugs, "He's not even our step dad. He's.. He's not anything. He's just a guy that we met."
"Well, that guy is now taking care of you like a dad. So, he's something to you."
Sakiko doesn't reply, wondering if Ryan knew just how much weight his words held. When Ryan grins to himself, thinking he's won the small dispute, Sakiko scoffs.
"You say you're not Glenn's brother but you sure sound like him sometimes."
"Is that a compliment?" Ryan questions.
Sakiko laughs, a genuine laugh for the first time in longer than she'd ever admit. At the sound, Ryan laughs as well. Though Sakiko would never say how long it's been she's laughed so freely, Ryan knew it had been too long. He was happy to change that.
