《TROUBLE [twd]》blood thirsty bloodhound

Sakiko knew from the others, mainly Glenn as she only seemed to pay attention when he talked, that cities were dangerous. Geeks liked hanging out in cities. But, as she made her way into a small town, she couldn't help but notice there wasn't a geek in sight.
At least there wasn't at first.
"Hello?" she asks, knocking on the door of a pizza shop, "Anyone home?"
A geek growls, suddenly lunging at her. Yelping in surprise, Sakiko slams the door shut and trips, nearly falling to the ground. With the window in the door, she could see the geek that growled, clawing at the window as it attempted to get to her.
"You could've been nicer about it!" she hisses, smacking her hand on the glass- the geek growling feverishly in response.
--
"All right, and if we get split up, just leave your tracks," Daryl repeats.
"I know," Nanami assures, "You'll sniff me out like a bloodhound."
"That's one way of puttin' it," Daryl huffs, strapping his bow to his back.
"You sure you don't want backup?" Glenn asks, leaning on the porch railing, "I can tag along."
"I'm sure she'd love for you to be the one to find her," Nanami mutters under his breath.
Daryl nudges Nanami's shoulder before turning to Glenn, "We're fine. We work better jus' the two of us."
"Okay," Glenn nods, "Bring her back and you two be safe out there."
From beside Glenn, Ryan gives Nanami a look, mentally thanking him for telling Daryl the truth.
--
Walking out of a store, Sakiko pauses as she hears voices.
"Am I crazy or.." she wonders, peering around the corner.
At once, there's guns pointed in her direction. She gasps, stumbling backwards with her hands up.
"Oh shit.. It's a kid," a man exhales.
The guns lower and Sakiko finds her breath evening out.
"You alone out here?" another man asks, his tone something similar to Merle's.
"No," she lies, eyeing the men cautiously.
She'd been around a drunk junkie every day in her life and could pinpoint the tell signs when she saw others. These men.. Well, they looked just like the man that had been the final straw. The one Nanami had stabbed and they ran from.
"You sure about that?" the first man asks, stepping closer to her.
"My dad is a few buildings away," she lies, stepping back, "My brother, too."
The man nods, pursing his lips as he almost waltzes to her.
"And you're here.. You must be scavenging," he figures, "So, how about you help us out?"
"How?" Sakiko wonders.
"Well, we just got here to comb through these stores.. How about you tell us if there's anything worth finding in 'em?"
There's a tense silence in the air as the two men stare Sakiko down. She eases her hand to her pocket, holding onto her knife tightly. In a split second, she dashes away, pulling her pocket knife out as she runs.

Before she's past the first building, the sound of footsteps on concrete is chasing after her. She forces her feet to move faster, though the men seemed to be double her most try hard speed.
A hand grabs her jacket, yanking her backwards. She shouts in alarm as she falls, back hitting the ground and knocking the wind from her lungs. The man gives a swift kick to her side before grappling for her bag. She squirms, letting out words of refusal.
With a quick motion, she stabs her knife down into the man's shin and jerks it back out. The man screams, stumbling to the ground and grasping his injury.
"Son of a bitch!" he cries, rolling to his knees.
Sakiko hurriedly wraps her bag around her, fighting back to her feet. Just as she begins to run once again, the other man jumps in front of her, arms outstretched as he anticipated her every move.
Sakiko hugs her bag to her chest, knife in the other hand as she shakily exhales the hair out of her face.
"Come on now, darlin'. Let's not make this a big fuss," the man encourages.
Her eyes dart between the two men, taking a slow step backwards instead. The other man soon finds his way to his feet, though he limped with the motion.
"Now, just hand over the bag and we'll all be on our own way out," the previous continues.
"Haven't you heard to not take candy from babies?" she asks.
The uninjured man scoffs, rolling his eyes at the girl. With a nod to his friend, the duo begin taking steps to her.
"Hey, asswipe!"
At the voice, the men turn their heads.
"Daryl?" Sakiko asks.
Nanami and Daryl jog over, Daryl taking his bow off and holding it in front of him.
"The hell you talking to my kid for?" Daryl asks the men.
"Ah, so she tells the truth after all," the injured one comments.
"Get Kiko back," Daryl tells Nanami.
Nanami grabs Sakiko's arm who was too stunned to argue. He drags her further away, following Daryl's order. They don't hear the words traded between the men, though it's clear things escalate as Daryl brings his bow closer- finger hovering on the trigger.
"Hey!" Sakiko shouts as one of them men takes a quick punch to Daryl.
Nanami pauses, turning to look back- soon spotting Daryl on the ground as the men double team on kicking at him.
"Get the hell back!" Daryl shouts amid his grunts of pain.
Nanami doesn't listen, too caught up in the need to protect Daryl to listen to his orders. Dropping Sakiko's arm, he rushes over, latching onto the injured man's arm.
"Nanami!" Sakiko cries as the man shoves him to the ground.
The man curses to himself before turning his attention to Nanami entirely. Landing kicks to Nanami's back, Nanami writhes in pain on the ground. Spotting this between his own brutality, Daryl grabs at the man's leg, knocking his elbow into the man's injury.

Shouts and insults are thrown all around as Daryl fights back to his feet, placing himself between Nanami and the men. With his bow on the ground, he pulls his fists up, ready to defend his kids.
Sakiko's body trembles as she watches the scene, feeling useless and afraid.
The uninjured man throws a punch that Daryl ducks, landing a fist of his own to the other man's face. As the fight gets worse, Daryl is in a losing battle as he takes the men on- two to one.
Sakiko looks around, hoping for a saving grace. Her eyes land on the geek she'd seen earlier, more riled up and knocking against the glass as it hears the fight outside.
She looks back to where Daryl was once again on the ground, the men brutalizing him. As Daryl coughs up a mouthful of blood, Sakiko finds her feet moving to the door. Opening the door, the geek stumbles out and Sakiko runs away from it, merely escaping it's hand from grabbing her jacket. She hurries to Nanami, grabbing his arm to help him to his feet.
Nanami stumbles in her hold, Sakiko steadying him with an arm around his waist. She pulls him away, their eyes watching as the geek's head turns around, sensing out the loud noises of violence.
The men were too preoccupied beating Daryl that that don't even notice the geek's attention on them. The geek grabs the uninjured man's shoulder, jerking him backwards. The man doesn't even have enough time to react before it's teeth are sinking into his neck.
As he screams in pain, his friend's eyes widen. He curses, limping over to help get the geek off his friend. Taking advantage, Daryl rolls on the ground, dirt and dust clinging to his bloody shirt. Picking up his bow, he fires to the injured man's chest, watching as his body falls to the ground.
The geek drags the other man to the ground, his screams echoing as the geek tears into his stomach.
"Daryl," Nanami gasps out, pulling Sakiko with him.
Daryl cringes in pain, wiping the blood from his mouth as he uses his bow to get himself to his knees.
"You're- you're bleeding like a lot," Sakiko cries.
Daryl shakes his head, crawling closer to her and pulling Sakiko into a hug. While in his arms, Daryl could feel how hard she was trembling, her chest rattling as she cries. Daryl only holds her tighter.
"I'm sorry," Sakiko whimpers.
"Daryl," Nanami calls, "Daryl!"
Pulling his head up, Daryl catches sight of the geek now looking at them. Sakiko groans out a loud noise of frustration, pushing herself to stand once more with her knife in her hands.
"Kiko!" Daryl shouts.
Sakiko kicks at the geek's leg until it falls to it's knees. Now closer to her height, Sakiko plunges the knife into it's head. As the geek goes limp, Sakiko follows it to the ground, sitting straddle of it's chest.
"Stupid! Ugly! Useless! Asshole!" she swears, stabbing the geek in the head over and over.
"Kiko," Nanami attempts, wrapping his arm around his sister from behind, "Kiko, it's dead!"
With a few final stabs, Sakiko relents, falling back into Nanami's hold. Cries leave her mouth as she drops her knife along the way, Nanami falling into a sitting position with Sakiko nearly in his lap. Daryl crawls closer, wrapping his arms around both of his kids.
Sakiko cries harder, clenching Daryl's shirt in her fist to stay as close as she could manage.
"It's all right," Daryl whispers to them, "We're all right."
--
"You know just 'cause Shane found that.. it don't mean I don't want you no more."
Sakiko picks at the zipper of her bag, shrugging absentmindedly, "I thought.. Maybe since I screwed up what you asked-"
"It was stupid of me to ask you. I shouldn't ask you to do shit like that. 'specially since I've been saying we need to leave that shit in the past."
"I wanted to help," she reminds, "I asked you."
"Still.. It was shitty of me to put that on you," Daryl defends.
"Besides, with Sophia missing and back and Carl shot.. I think everyone forgot about what happened," Nanami adds.
"Maybe," Sakiko agrees, though it didn't sound like she believed it.
Nanami pulls back the tree branches, the three being met with the sight of a field that leads to a house.
"Is this it?" Sakiko asks.
"This is it," Daryl answers, "Ain't much. But, it's safe so far."
Sakiko shakes her head, breaking into a jog, "There's so much space!"
Nanami sighs, chasing after her, "Sakiko, wait up!"
Daryl huffs out a laugh, knowing his injuries from the fight wouldn't allow him to keep up with them. Instead, he watches them as a smile dared to cross his lips as the twins ran ahead.
"Oh, right. The old man!" Sakiko laughs, turning around and fast walking backwards.
"Old man?" Daryl asks, limping to her.
"Nanami!" a new voice shouts.
Sakiko jumps, turning around to see Glenn, Rick, T-Dog, and Shane running their way.
"Sakiko!" Glenn calls.
Sakiko looks from the group to Daryl, wanting to ask if it was really okay for her to be back.
"Kiko-" Daryl begins, but doesn't finish.
A gunshot rings through the air, Daryl falling to the ground.
The twins movements stop at once, both unable to realize what just happened.
"Daryl?" Nanami asks, receiving no answer back.
"Daryl!" Sakiko cries, dropping her bag and running back to him.
Nanami follows, ignoring the yelling of the group behind them telling them to stay away from the 'walker'.
"It's not a walker!" Nanami shouts, "It's Daryl!"
"Daryl?" Glenn repeats.
Sakiko's sobbing was immediate as she falls to her knees beside Daryl, rolling his body to lay on his back.
"Daryl!" she screams, patting his chest to get any reaction from him.

Transformers: Heroes
Heroic Decepticons Alternate Universe. A century ago, the eons-old war between the Autobots and the Decepticons suddenly and inexplicably came to an end. Since then, many have gone their separate ways, whilst others still hold onto the bitter memories of war. Now, as Autobots and Neutrals join forces in a new directive to capture every Decepticon still left alive, it appears that the Autobots will finally get their chance to even the score, and defeat their enemies once and for all. But when they become the target of seemingly random, yet terrifying attacks, some begin to realize that the enemy may be much closer to home than anyone could have ever imagined. Author's Notes: While it helps to have a little bit of prior knowledge about the world of Transformers, you don't need to be a Transformers fan to enjoy this story, or even a Decepticons fan! One thing I can say for sure is that it is unlike any Transformers fan fiction you've ever come across. This story aims to explore one possible set of motivations in depth in a setting of ongoing conflict between the Autobots (and, more recently, the Alliance - a collaboration between Autobots and Neutrals) and the Decepticons. Although this story takes a lot of things from the G1 cartoon, it is by no means strictly G1 toon oriented and introduces characters and/or ideas from other continuities (Sentinel Prime, Jhiaxus, Thunderblast and Rook (not the Autobot Rook - the other Rook!). Set primarily on Cybertron and Alternity City, it also deviates from certain key elements common in Transformers canon. For one thing, the general consensus that all Autobots are good and all Decepticons are bad is challenged, and a new meaning to the motivations behind their conflict is offered (which is a recurring theme in my Heroic Decepticons Alternate Universes). Some personalities have been altered from their canonical profiles as a necessity (Megatron being the most obvious example) and developed to a much deeper level than the original cartoon allowed. I hope you enjoy and thanks for reading.
