《Open Wings (DreamXDNotFound)》Ch 18 - Fire vs Water

Both angels were staring into each other's eyes. Sapnap's orange eyes glowed furiously as he stared into George's soft chocolate brown eyes, in which he caught a hint of blue and hazel
Sapnap cracked his knuckles and threw a fireball at George. The angel grabbed water out of thin air and stopped the fire
The fire angel scoffed and threw a fire ring. George jumped, dodging the exploding fire as he flew higher. Sapnap followed as he threw fire at him, noticing George deflecting them with water
He growled and threw fire darts. George used the clouds and absorbed the water, forming a wall of water as his shield, putting out the darts
Sapnap flew at full speed as George flew away. They flew in circles as it gave George an idea from his flight with XD
He swirled around the clouds and formed an ice cream shape. He dove into the cloud, hearing Sapnap also enter the cloud
George flew out and blew cold wind. The cloud turned to water, then into a swirl of ice. Sapnap was frozen inside as the crowd gasped
XD smiled as he knew he taught George very well, but his expression changed as Sapnap glowed like fire and exploded the ice cage
He shot giant fireballs as George gasped and dodged every throw. They were like bombs, and some sparks floated as its lighting died
One spark landed on his feather and George winced. He used the water to heal his injury as Sapnap had a fire sword
He swung as George swerved and dodged every swing. George made a water sword and both weapons clashed like normal swords
The water sword was making a slice on the fire one, for fire's weakness is water. "I WILL BURN YOU, CRIPPLE!" Sapnap roared, making the Gods gasp at what he said

George growled and had a ring of water around him. Small droplets stepped out, forming ice spikes as George pointed at Sapnap
The ice spikes shot at fast speeds. Sapnap dodged most, but was cut by a few. He felt an ice arrow on his leg and melted the ice
He growled and he shot a flamethrower. George shot huge amounts of water as both sides were struggling. George's water cut through the flamethrower and Sapnap was soaked in water
He coughed and roared, fire coming out of his mouth. George gulped as Sapnap threw fire arrows. The brunette flew away as the arrows chased him
George shot water arrows as they chased Sapnap. Both angels were chased by their elemental arrows and they were spiraling in the air
Sapnap found his chance and shot a fireball. George saw it through his peripheral vision, but he missed the dodge
Fire scorched his body as he fell from the sky. "GEORGE!" XD called as he wanted to fly to save him, but Echo stopped him
"Trust him," she said as XD watched his angel fall down quicker. George's eyes opened and twisted. He flapped his wings, breaking his fall, and shot a giant bullet water
It zoomed at Sapnap as it slammed him and weakened his opponent. George was breathing hard and he felt sore and tired
He noticed a bright light coming towards him. He looked up and his eyes widened as the giant fireball was coming closer to him
He raised his arms, but the fire reached him before they could see his action. "GEORGE!" XD screamed and sobbed as he watched the flames explode on his last area
"I won!" Sapnap yelled as XD roared with anger. His lover, his rescuer, has died by the hands of the enemy

The crowd gasped as XD noticed a dome of water protecting the angel. "GEORGE!" he exclaimed happily as Sapnap noticed George standing up
His wings opened, but they were different. His wings grew twice the size and blazed with blue fire, which surprisingly, was cold fire. Nitrogen cold fire
George roared as his eyes glowed in icy blue and sun gold hazel. He stared at Sapnap as he panicked and shot giant fireballs
George used his blue fireballs as they pierced through the orange ones. He shot as Sapnap was burnt from the fire
His skin was turning blue as George's fire swirled around Sapnap. He screamed as he felt himself freezing quicker than a blizzard
He tried to scream, but he was fully frozen as his skin was blue, his body steaming with cold air from the blue flames, and he could not even move his eyes
George's eyes became dull, but they stayed in blue and amber as he fainted from the amount of energy he used to defeat Sapnap
The crowd cheered, but stopped when George fainted. XD quickly placed his hand beneath the angel and he placed him close to his chest
"You did well," he whispered as the Gods stood up, nodding at each other. Atlas spoke, "Sapnap, you will follow us to the cave where XD stood for 700 years."
Even though he could move, he could not answer, but at least he heard every word. George was resting on XD's hands, grabbing handfuls of his robe to cover himself
He shivered and XD smiled as he looked at the students. He bowed and everyone bowed down to him, now showing respect to him

Saga of the Soul Dungeon
When Caden dies in an accidental fall, he is merged with a dungeon core in another world. The problem with that? The dungeon core wasn't dead, and he has share mind-space with it. And that doesn't take into account mastering his new abilities well enough to escape from the powerful wizard that is, understandably, leery about allowing a dungeon to escape. Even after he manages to escape he needs to found and manage a dungeon. Of course the location he chose might have a few issues of its own. He is on the border of two human nations who are not particularly pleased to share. A sentient plant race claims the dungeon as sacred ground. And, amidst the chaos, teams of adventurers just want to make a living and figure out how to deal with the latest challenge. Just so readers know, Caden is not a murder-hobo. He is a genuinely nice person trying to make the best of his situation. If you want a main character that revels in killing people, this is not the book for you. This is a reworking, and continuation, of my original novel into first person. And it is going great! The writing is well past where my original novel got to. This work will never be dropped. Hiatuses may happen due to life, but I will never abandon this fiction. Currently 20+ chapters on Patreon

The Chronicles of Artharian Dagworth
Back in 2020 there were many theories on how the world would end. From the many religions apocalypses, nuclear wars that would leave the planet inhabitable, global warming doing the same, biological weapons getting out of control, viruses mutating into unstoppable diseases to the dead raising to prey on humanity, either due to a virus or just because hell filled up. Also, aliens, from the war mongering kind to the ones so advanced they didn’t see us as more than worms. And of course there was the fail proof theory that the world would end when the sun died. In a bunch of billion years give or take. Althougth some new scientist were discussing if the end would be on the take side, since when the sun started dying things would go haywire on the entire solar system and we would collide with mercury or maybe mars way before the expanding sun engulfed earth. But I digress… Now, those were the mainstream theories that the everyday Joe, who didn’t know the big secret, worried about. So, if you were to ask me which theory was correct I can tell you that I haven’t seen any little green man, at least not from another planet, and so far the sun is still shining, although it’s been only 9 years since everything went to hell, not the few billions (give or take) the scientist predicted, so that one isn’t ruled out yet. These two aside, I'd say all of them. Hey everyone, this is my first attempt at writing. I have been planning to do it for a really long time, and while this is not the one epic fantasy idea I ever wanted to write, I think it's a good one. The plan is to write an end of the world urban-fantasy series. Think a world like Dresden Files, Alex Verus, Iron druid, where magic is real but exist hidden from society meets the apocalypse. It will be written in first person in the Dresden Files style, no plans for other POV for now. As you probally alredy guessed from my style, english is not my first langague, so while google corrector helps, expect grammar errors, and I'd be gratefull for anyone to point them. I plan to write 2 to 3 chapters a week, 2000-4000 words each. Might change as I get more experience and depends on my free time. Cover image from the colections of getwallpapers.com
