《Open Wings (DreamXDNotFound)》Ch 6 - Giant Cuddly Bear

George tried using his wings to close himself, but they were sealed, as if some sort of glue was keeping them from opening them
He noticed there was water down. He closed his hands together and cut through the water again. He gasped as he looked up, seeing a giant being flying from above
"He heard me?!" he whispered as he splashed frantically and swam clumsily towards the nearby land
He got up and ran. He was tired from the swim, and the water made him heavy. He tried shaking off the water, but a growl was heard
He turned to see dog-like animals and they were growling at him. "Coyotes?! But I thought they only appear in deserts?!" George said as one growled and jumped towards him
"NOOO!" He yelled as he smacked the coyote with his wing. It whimpered and howled, seeing more coyotes were coming
He stood up and ran as the coyotes chased the angel. George tried opening his wings and flapping, but instead he fell and rolled towards a tree
His back smacked the trunk and he yelled in pain. His wings were burnt, bleeding, loss of feathers from the hit, and cut
He was backed towards the tree he hit and whimpered. A coyote jumped at him, and the angel used his hands to shield himself
Nothing
The coyote did not touch him
But it jumped, jaws open!
George opened one eye. The coyote was down and shook itself. They were all looking up. The angel looked to see a giant angel flying down
Wind gusts everywhere as George held onto the trunk. The God landed and placed a hand in front of the angel
The coyotes barked and whimpered as the God led out a soft menacingly growl. The coyotes ran away, leaving the giant God and tiny angel alone

"You ok?" The God asked as George nodded rapidly. He wanted to run away, but his hand curled around his body and yelped
"PUT ME DOWN!" George begged as he looked at the masked God. "Thank you!" he chirped. George was completely confused
"Thank you?" he whimpered, seeing he was closer to the God. The God slightly lifted his mask and nuzzled the angel with his cheek
"Thank you! You have no idea how long I have been trapped in there! What year is it? How long? Is everything different? Who are you?! Why are you dressed like that?"
The God asked so many questions as George shivered in fear. The God gasped at his actions and gently placed the frightened angel down
"I'm so sorry for scaring you, little one! I was just worried, and this is a lot different than I remember," he said as he looked around
George just looked at the God. He was acting like some sort of child or young teenager. He wanted to run, but his legs were shivering
"T-T-The y-year is-s-s **90," George stuttered as the God gasped, "I WAS IN THAT STATUE FOR 700 YEARS?! FUCK YOU, ATLAS!!"
George was surprised. The fact that he knew one of the gods and also for swearing. "H-How do y-you k-know Atlas?" George asked as the God inclined closer to the angel
"He hated me. I knew ever since, but I didn't think he'd be cruel to me. I am their fucking leader! Why did they imprison me?! Just because I was not doing my goddamn duties!"
The God cursed as he looked up. "C-C-Couldn't y-y-you just g-g-go up?" George trembled as the God looked at the sky, "I can't. For me to go up, I -"

He cut himself as he noticed George trembling. This angel saved me, and I scared him, he thought as he bowed, "My apologies for scaring you. My name's DreamXD, but you can call me XD for short."
He picked up the angel and placed him on his palm. The poor angel was trembling like crazy. XD did his best to hug the small angel as he placed him close to his chest
"It's ok, little one. I'm sorry for frightening you. Thank you again for getting me out of that statue," he said softly
He felt the angel calming down. He smiled as he looked down at the angel. "What's your name?" he asks as the angel stopped shivering
"George," he squeaked, still afraid of the situation. "Stay with me, George. I'll keep you safe," XD said softly and he closed his giant white wings around him
He closed his eyes, but opened one. Good thing he was wearing a mask. He noticed George looking around for a way out
I'm sorry, The God pondered as he smiled when George gave up and got comfortable on his gloved palm, closing his eyes and sleeping with his wings covering up his body
"Good night, George," XD said softly and rested near the angel

An AU of my previous story, Returning to No Applause, that asks the simple question of "What if it all went wrong?" When Kreig first appears on Earth again, after being stranded in another world for 130 years, he finds himself faced with weapons and guns. In a fit of instinct, he accidentally murders one of the many Fighters, causing what can only be described as a massacre to take place. The story that follows this simple premise is completely opposed to the one told before, focusing less on character improvement and more so degradation. It should come as no surprise that I personally recommend reading the OG story before checking this one out, and if you've already done so, great! Swell havin' ya! Any such readers might remember that I mentioned writing a story like this a while back, and... Here we are. This is in no way a continuation or sequel, nor will it be very long. Expect around 15 chapters at most depending on various factors. All and all, the 5-page length will remain the same (apart from chap. 1) and so will the release time, Sundays at 20:30 EST (I think?). All that aside, I sure hope you'll enjoy this! It'll obviously be very different from the OG story, but I personally think that's a good thing. Cheerio!

Recovery of a Life
The prince of a kingdom was erased from the world. His very existence an enigma. Follow Xopil as he forces his life into a world that refuses to acknowledge his presence. I tried to write a novel without including all the standard things you find in certain genres, or if it is included, I hope it's at least a fresh take on it, this includes me breaking the fourth wall, probably too much. I'm wondering if that helped with humor at all, and also reconsidering if that should be a part of the story. I'm going to be rewriting every chapter at this point... and that chapter I'm extremely disappointed with could likely be deleted if not redone entirely. Now that this story is marked 'completed', I'll be going through each chapter and fleshing out the story a bit, as I found it severely lacking, and I've been saying to myself "I could have done more with that." way more often than I should be.
