《Little Mushroom Boy》The Little Shadow

Clay woke up. It was his first day of online school. He groaned, grabbed his laptop, and logged into his classes
It was boring, but at least he didn't have to participate much
Once lunch began, he went downstairs. His parents were gone to work, meaning he was alone
Clay grabbed a soda from the fridge and some chips from the cabinets. He headed upstairs and noticed he still had 40 minutes left of lunch
Clay went outside to see Patches playing in the grass. He took a sip and watched his cat climb a tree. Later, he saw something
Clay blinked and looked at the grass. He saw movement, but from something. He thought he saw a human, but tiny
He shook his head and sighed. It was just my imagination, Clay thought as he went back to his room to his laptop
During his classes, he kept seeing the same shadow. He wanted to check it out, but kept thinking he was dreaming
After they were done, Clay shut his computer. He saw the shadow hide as he waited. The shadow moved quickly, but he wanted to know
Clay found a clear empty jar and grabbed it. He hid behind his door and waited. The figure stepped out of its hiding place and revealed itself
To Clay's surprise, it was a tiny human. He wore a leaf coat and was wearing a big mushroom hat. To Clay's surprise, this tiny person was able to hide from him even with the hat on
The little human looked around. He thought coast was clear and played with some glass balls with stuff inside
Clay used this opportunity to get closer to the tiny figure. He crept closer, but stayed silent as the figure played with his marble collection
The little figure giggled as it rolled a pure white ball. The giggle sounded adorable!

Clay hid and watched the figure turn around and check his shoes for some reason. The human sniffed at them and made a deep sigh as he hugged them
Clay held his breath from giggling and continued to watch the little guy search in his room. As he got closer to Clay's PC, he drew closer to the tiny human. He waited and raised his arm with the clear jar
Clay waited as the tiny human looked at the monitor, later, he saw Clay's shadow. The human turned ever so slowly. He looked at Clay's green emerald eyes as Clay slammed the jar to stop him
The tiny human panicked. He banged on the clear jar and tried to ram himself to break it. "You're going to get hurt! Please calm down," Clay begged, but the tiny human didn't listen
Clay grabbed a piece of cardboard and slid it underneath the jar as the human fell after Clay picked up the jar and placed it on his desk where his PC stood
Clay observed closely at the tiny boy. He was adorable! Clay felt his face heat up and turn pink at the sight of his face. His yellow and blue eyes sparkled like the sun and moon
"You're red," the boy said. Clay blushed harder and turned away
George's POV
OMG! The human blushed? George thought as he watched the human pace nervously and look at him several times
George looked at the human as he got closer to the jar. He looked into his pool of emerald eyes as George bumped into the jar
"My bad, but will you promise that you won't run away from me?" The human asked. George nodded as the human slowly lifted the glass object and placed it away from him

George felt comfortable. He sat down and watched the human stay quiet and look around for something. He left and later came back with a weird round thing
"It's a cookie. A chocolate chip cookie. I hope you like it," the human said as George sniffed at the food
The aroma! The texture! The decoration! George took a bite and munched on it with hungry gulps. He burped and looked at the human as he giggled
No One's POV
Clay laughed as he watched the tiny human gulp down the cookie. "My name's Clay, by the way," he said. "Mine's George!" the tiny human said as he felt the urge to know more
A door was unlocked as Clay heard his parents. He told George to hide behind the monitor and Clay went downstairs
: How was your first day of online school?
: Terrible
: As long as you're not going there for fights, then good
: Can Grayson and Darryl come over?
: Sure
Clay rushed and called Grayson and Darryl on Discord. George watched the bright screen as he heard Clay invite 2 of his friends over
: Hide in my drawer
: No!
: Why not?
: After that minor incident? Course not!
: Fine! I'll do this the hard way!
Clay cupped the tiny human in his hands. George squirmed as he tried to be free. Clay felt ticklish for a moment, later placed him underneath his bed, but George rushed between Clay's feet
Clay caught the small human and placed him inside his pocket of his lime hoodie. "You're staying in there until you calm yourself," Clay said as he let go of George
George noticed it was a bit high for him to make the jump, the plants were no use, and Clay is moving too much
George sighed as he felt Clay's warmth. He loved it in here! George felt sleepy as his eyes shut, hoping and begging Punz was doing fine with his disappearance

Malheur aux vaincus - Short stories
I am a reader, not a writer. But in the spirit of contributing to the trove of texts present here, I hope to share some short stories that I wrote: two in French in a Roman Fantasy setting ; and the rest in English: one inspired by manichean webnovels, another one... difficult to classify as a fiction, a little flight of fancy about the 'What if?' game, and last even two poems.

Humans Must Adapt!
Humans Must Adapt is a First Person point of view from the eyes of slightly crazy and totally not a masochist MC. The setting takes place on a copy of earth with a different name. A cataclysmic event causes the native humans to be usurped from their natural place at the top of the food chain. Time has now passed, and the Humans have managed to settle themselves into mediocrity. But this is not enough.Note: I don't plan on including sexual content. The MC won't have an end game goal right from the start. Feedback is welcomed. The MC is a Tamer.
