Avah's pov

Katrina has asked if Kali could speak to her family before she leaves and she accepted but only with a cop in the same room.

We were all guided to a room, where I was handed wet tissues to clean my face and hands and also clean Nadine's hands and face as well. Florence hugged Kali quickly before she was asked to not take long in a hug, then it was Sebastian's turn.

"I'll get you out of there Kali, I promise" he said, Kali just smiled at him like she was happy and she didn't care that she was going back to jail.

"It's okay no rush, It's fun" she said with a smile, her beautiful eyes finally landed on me and I swear I forgot how to breathe.

"Give us a moment please" Kali said to everyone, I was standing in front of her no clue what to do.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't there to protect Nadine. And you..." She took a step closer, I was surprised at her new confidence. She was different, did jail change her.

"I admit, I did miss you Avah." She whispered and that put a smile on my face. She bite her bottom lip and leaned planting a peck on my lips.

"See you later princess" she smiled and waved her hand as I watched her get dragged outside the room. I was taken back to Kali's house where Nadine and I showered and changed from our dirty clothes.

I have asked Kris to find Nadine a therapist as soon as possible and that I needed to get a job because I didn't want to be too much for them.

So he asked me to work at Kali's company it won't be something that'll need for me to speak but I could be helpful. I'll receive files, I'll correct any errors, copy them and then send them back to whoever sent them to me.

I was happy about my new job and that Nadine was getting the therapy she needed. After all the trauma she went through she definitely needed some help specially at a young age. As for Kali, she had visits every week and sometimes I'd go with Nadine, sometimes me and Kris and sometimes just her parents but they'll make sure to let me know that she has asked about me, which wouldn't fail to make me blush.

As for communicating with my kid, I type whatever I have to say and make Siri read it out loud for her to hear.

"Hey baby how's your day?" The phone was connected to the car, so I typed something and it was heard loudly on speaker. I picked her up from school and now we'll go see Kali because it's her visit day.

"It was nice, but Henry keeps laughing at me" she replied upset, I looked at her through the rearview mirror curious why would this boy make fun of her.

"Why is that princess?" I typed again as I started driving.

"Because only you showed up to parents day, he says that my dad left because he doesn't love me" she said looking out of the window, what she said has made me very upset and I didn't know how to reply to this new information.

"A lot of people have one parent, and that's okay. There's nothing wrong with that." I typed quickly when we got to a red light, I looked at her with a smile trying to reassure her that it's not bad having a single parent sometimes that one parent is better than both. Because they make sure to give extra care for their children.

"Why can't Kali come, she looks like a dad" she said annoyed which has put a smile on my face, she want Kali to be her other parent. She sees her as a father figure and she just admit that, I mean Kali did take care of her knowing she wasn't even related to her and that makes think of the other amazing thing Kali has done for us.

We still haven't labeled what we were, Kali and I. But whenever I go see her she'll kiss me and hug me and call me sweet names and I've never been happier, she promises she'll take me on dates as soon as she's out and I'm so excited for that.

"Well, you have to ask her honey. See if she's okay with it. Okay?" I saw my daughter smile and nod her head excitedly. We reached the facility and I opened the door for Nadine and she jumped out of the car.

"Hello Nadine!" The police officer who usually scans our stuff said, I smiled and he nodded at me. Nadine waved at him and he took her bag from her and scanned in the machine then he scanned her body with the metal detector, then did the same with me.

"Kali!" Nadine yelled when she saw her walking inside the room, Kali picked her and hugged kissing her cheeks which made Nadine giggle and squeal.

"How's my big girl doing?" Kali said with a smile, and yes she's been calling her that since forever and I loved it so much. Kali wrapped her arm around me and pecked my lips quickly while still holding Nadine in her arm.

"What's up princess" she said with a smile and sat with Nadine in her lap. Kali grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers and just smiled at Nadine.

"So tell me about your day sweetheart, how's school?" Kali asked Nadine, my daughter sighed annoyed and crossed her arms in front of her. Kali gave me a confused look and I shrugged my shoulders.

"My classmate laughs at me because I don't have a dad" Nadine said in a small voice, Kali let go of my hand and brushed my kid's hair out of her face.

"You want me to kick his ass?" Kali said in all seriousness, I slapped her shoulder jokingly because of her language and she just chuckled rolling her eyes at me.

"No, I want you to come to my school and show him it's not true" Nadine said rolling her eyes and pouting at Kali who was very surprised but had a huge smile on her face as well.

"I'll take you to school and you can show that kid you have a dad stronger than his" Kali whispered showing off and flexing her bicep just like she did that day in the kitchen and I looked at my kid and she had a smile as big as Kali's.

"Mom are you okay?" Nadine asked looking at me worriedly, Kali's neck snapped towards me and her eyes widened.

"Avah? Why are you crying?" Kali said softly rubbing my forearm, I smiled and wiped my tears. They were happy tears, I was glad to see my daughter healing from the trauma Brandon and Leroy have given her and I couldn't thank Kali enough for what she's done for us.

'Thank you' I mumbled, Kali smiled and wrapped her arms around my shoulders. I felt her kiss the top of my head and gently caress my hair and I felt safe in her arms.

"I'll do anything for you princess" she whispered against my head. How can she be so nice, she was such a sweetheart, all I wanted was to kiss her and feel her arms around me because I've never felt so complete in my life.

Sometimes her overprotective character and sweet personality turns me on. Because how can you be hot and cute at the same time, the muscles and tattoos and short haircut scares people but with me and Nadine she's a sweet baby.

"Martin!" The police guard yelled, I pulled away and Kali kissed Nadine's head with a smile. We both waved at her and watched her exit the room in her red prison suit and tatted arms, I bit my lip when she winked at me and thought...

God she's so hot I wanna ride her dick.

Here's another chapter for you lovely people, I hope you're doing well. I'm afraid this book is almost over, maybe a few chapters. I'm still not sure what my next book would be, a sequel to the bodyguard or a completely new story.
