《Lion King 1 1/2 (Timon X Y/N)》Chapter 13: The Wildebeest Stampede

Once out, they ended up near a canyon of sorts.
"Beyond what you see. Beyond what you--" Y/N started then Timon covered her eyes, making her question, "What the?"
"Trust me. You don't wanna know," Timon told her then said to Pumbaa, "Hey, how are we supposed to look beyond what we see beyond that?"
He was talking about Pumbaa's butt.
"Huh?" Pumbaa questioned, realized what it was, then apologized while moving, "Oh, sorry."
They saw the canyon and made their way down there.
"What this place lacks in water and shade, it makes up for with searing heat and blinding sunshine. Home, sweet home, guys," Timon said.
They then saw the rocks rattle on the ground, making them nervous. They looked to see a stampede of wildebeest coming their way.
"Shall we run for our lives?" Pumbaa suggested.
"Please?" Y/N pleaded, backing up a bit.
"Oh, yes, let's," Timon nodded.
They all screamed as they ran, but the wildebeest caught up to them. As the dust came and went, they ended up on one of their heads when they came upon the edge of a cliff.
"Hang on, guys!" Pumbaa urged.
"It looks like this is it!" Y/N screamed.
"Good-bye, cruel world!" Timon cried out.
The wildebeest stopped and time seemed to slow down as they soared through the air, Timon holding Y/N close. Then Pumbaa landed on his back in the water while the two meerkats landed on his stomach.
"That's it? That wasn't so bad. You can't knock old Timon down that easy! Yeah! Bring it on!" Timon smirked.
"Uh, Timon? I wouldn't challenge fate like that," Y/N said.
"Why not?" Timon wondered.
Y/N pointed behind him and when he turned, he saw a waterfall.

"Uh, Pumbaa? Question-is it possible to fall off the edge of the earth?" Timon asked.
"Uh, technically, no. The earth is round like a sphere, Timon, so it doesn't actually have an edge," Pumbaa answered.
"Then we're doomed!" Y/N freaked out.
Then they fell down the waterfall until Pumbaa paused the movie halfway through the fall.
"You mind if I pause it for a second?" Pumbaa asked.
"Sure, go ahead," Timon answered.
"No problem, P," Y/N added.
"Be right back," Pumbaa smiled then left for a minute.
Timon quickly popped his neck as Y/N got up.
"I'll be back too," Y/N told him.
"I'll be waiting, my darling," Timon smirked before taking her hand and kissing her knuckles.
She giggled in response before she left herself.
As he waited, a certain song popped in his head.
"It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world
Everybody
It's a small world after all
Da da da da da da da"
As he sang, he ended up picking his nose. He then realized the snot was stuck on his hand, no matter how much he tried to get it off. He then heard Pumbaa and Y/N coming back,so he quickly wiped it on the seat and looked at the screen as they came back.
"Okay, I got the jumbo so we all could share," Pumbaa informed.
They didn't get a response, making them confused.
"T, you good?" Y/N asked.
"Were you just picking your nose?" Pumbaa wondered.
"Seriously?" she questioned.
"No, I had an itch on the inside," Timon defended, ate some grubs then resumed the movie.
The three continued falling down the waterfall until they were out of sight.

Transmigration Retiree
"What's that you say? I can never leave this reality ever? Good!" Ed, was a normal man in a world full of superheroes, so he didn't really have too many complaints when that first truck fell on him. After all he'd read enough comics to know that sometimes things just happen. Besides he'd been getting on in years when it happened, and his life till then, though lonely, had more or less been fully lived. The second time around when that one guy pushed him off a cliff for a chalice of immortal ambrosia, wasn't so cool though, and then there was that third time when he was just getting used to life as a lady, and that crazy goddess showed up out of nowhere and started ranting about purging the demon menace....then some other stuff happened and he briefly got to go back to earth before falling into a coma where he adventured in the world of dreams. Then the aliens came, and the dream ended and he was suddenly stuck being the AI Overmind for the whole damn star systm. The aliens died, and because he was all mechanical and what-not he just kind of had to keep on going. Forced to continue collecting the materials and data from countless worlds that were destoryed in the process. Then there was that whole war with the gods business that followed...mostly because of all that world destroying he did because of some fairly faulty programming. Anyway, thankfully someone pulled a "rocks fall" on that whole curfuffle, because by the time he was in control of himself again, things had long gotten out of hand. Now the powers-that-be tell him that he must spend the rest of his existence in single lonely section of the cosmos. Trapped in a single portion of a single universe. And now he weeps...No worries though, these are tears of joy. Hopefully this final unending existence he's been given will be the quiet life he's been looking for. A Man who's seen everything gets abducted by aliens and is converted into an AI that sits at the helm of a fleet of alien ships and behind the computer systems for most their planets. This Alien AI goes to war with the gods and ends up nearly destroying an entire reality. The Angels condemn the troublemaking AI to life as normal child on a far off world....All truth said, the "AI" couldn't be happier. His life's been far too interesting(read: Scary, Inconvenient and Painful) in his opinion and he could do with a bit of normalcy.

Flashback: Siren Song
The year is 1969. Yancy Lazarus—bluesman, gambler, future world-class mage and fix-it man—is just a dumb, unlucky kid serving with the 3rd Battalion 3rd Marines in Vietnam. With just a few weeks left to go until Yancy gets shipped back to the States, he’s just trying to keep his head down and avoid a body bag—no mean feat in Nam. But when his squad is tasked with conducting a routine patrol deep in enemy territory, everything goes to nine kinds of hell, and he quickly sees his chances at survival slipping away. When the radio operators start to pick up some funky, dirty ol’ blues all the way out in the backcountry, it’s a nice change of pace. At least until the men in Yancy’s squad start losing their minds, turning on each other with murderous intent as the music works its deadly power within them. Convinced it’s some kind of new psychological warfare initiative, the squad leader forces the men to push deeper and deeper into the Vietnamese jungle, obsessed with locating the music’s source. What they find, however, isn’t some new technology, but an ancient spirit awoken by the terrible war. Even worse, the music is changing Yancy too, awakening something buried inside of him. Only one thing is certain, nothing is ever going to be the same.See how it all began … *** PRAISE FOR SIREN SONG:Hunter's writing is as low-down, gritty, and insidious as the blues Yancy Lazarus loves. Just like the mysterious music drifting through the jungle toward Yancy's squad, Siren Song will get under your skin and sink its hooks into your mind. —eden Hudson, Author of Halo Bound (the Redneck Apocalypse series) *** Hey everyone, this is James Hunter. This story isn't a full length novel--its a novella length work (25K words), and is part of my Yancy Lazarus series. Its already free on Amazon, so I thought I'd post chapters here for the good folks of Royal Road.
