《Black Cat » The Vampire Diaries》I Dare You

Kol Mikaelson saw the light at the end of his hellish century when the witch, his impossible witch, did the impossible once again. With wit, and magic on her side, she managed to steal his corpse from Nik. He eagerly waited for her to leave the damned place where his brother dearest liked to keep the bodies of his siblings, knowing she wouldn't just take the dagger out in such an inconvenient place.

He followed after her, until she reached her newly built home and just when he thought freedom was almost there his witch left him in the trunk of her car and when to sleep without a care in the world.

He was pissed, never mind that, he was raging. They had a deal and yet the witch didn't free him immediately? Never mind how interesting she was, Kol Mikaelson had already a list of ways on how he was going to kill her. Slowly, painfully and intimately.

"Seize your tantrum." The witch Emily said, appearing next to him, as he was screaming his lungs out in rage at the sleeping Bonnie Bennett.

"How dare you, witch, appear in front of me?" He growled, his fangs out to the world to see. "Your student just broke her deal with me!"

"Have you forgotten the deal you made with Qetsiyah ? You are not to harm a single hair on Bonnie's head." She calmly replied. "In fact, you are to protect her."

"She betrayed me!" He hissed, even if somewhat calmer after Emily mentioned Qetsiyah's name. "After a century of this hell, I thought freedom was within my grasp, only to be taken away!"

"You have watched over Bonnie for a while now, you must know she would not break her deals." Emily evenly replied. "If she hasn't taken the dagger out yet it must mean she has a plan. She would not risk stealing from your brother just to leave you dead."

Kol processed her words in silence and finally nodded.

From what he had seen Bonnie Bennett was always scheming, but she never broke a deal after she had made it. If, however, someone else broke the deal first then there would be hell to pay. At first, he thought the witch would use him to make a deal with Klaus, but then he remembered that she still had the real moonstone which she would use to banter with Nik.

Why the hell she hadn't taken the dagger yet was still a mystery, but he decided to give her 24 hours before planning her death. Not to mention, that if he killed the witch, he would have to deal with Qetsiyah which would be quite troublesome since he now was a guest inside her domain- the other side.

"Fine, I'll give her a day to get that dagger out of my heart." He finally told Emily, who in return gave him a smile and vanished from sight.

He let out a sigh and sat down in the chair looking at the sleeping town witch. He really hoped he wasn't going to regret this, but then again having his body at her mercy didn't feel has unpleasant as being at his brother's luggage.

---

He followed after his witch the next morning, he wasn't going to let her out of his sight, especially since his body was still in her car. Surprisingly she drove to what he knew was her school.

"Bonnie, why is there a vampire corpse with a dagger in his heart in the trunk of your car?" The blonde vampire, Caroline, asked and he nodded along.

"Yes darling, why is my body still daggered and dumped in such a place?" He asked, narrowing his eyes at the witch in question, even if nobody could hear or see him.

Bonnie explained that he had stolen him away from his brother the previous light. Caroline opened the trunk once more and squealed. "Oh my god, that's the vampire pirate."

"The only one of us that was actually looked like a pirate was Finn." He casually said, rolling his eyes. "But I do look dashing in a captain hat."

"Why does he still have the dagger in his heart?" Caroline asked, after Bonnie had confirmed that it was indeed him in the trunk. "I thought the plan was to help him because you made a deal with him."

"Thank you!" He exclaimed, pointing at the younger vampire. "At least someone understands!"

"The deal was that I would get the dagger out, not that I would do it myself or that I would do it right now." Bonnie replied, and Kol meanwhile was seething.

"Those parts were implied!" He growled. "Bloody hell woman, next time I make a deal with you it will be in writing, and with a lot of small letters at the bottom as well!"

Even if he wasn't pleased with her actions, he was actually somewhat impressed at her use of loopholes. Not that he would admit it, ever. It was something one of his older siblings could have possibly come up with, it was positively diabolical.

"Ok, stealing a sexy pirate corpse is an apt excuse for ditching my awesome party." Caroline told Bonnie, and that managed to steal a smirk from him.

"At the very least you added sexy in that." He smirked at the younger vampire. "Darling you should listen to your friend, I'm too sexy to be left with a dagger in my heart."

"So, what are you going to do with him?" Caroline inquired, and he too would very much like to know.

"Yes, what are you planning to do with me?" Kol asked, narrowing his eyes at the witch.

"Well, I'm going to use him as a bargaining chip, obviously." Bonnie explained, rolling her eyes at Caroline. "I'm going to get as much of him as I possibly can."

He narrowed his eyes, but this was within was he thought she would do. Not exactly sure how she was going to go about it, but she still had a few hours before he decided that this delay was, in fact, a broken deal.

"Oh sweetheart, just take that dagger out and I can assure you I'll give you as much of myself as I possibly can." He whispered in her ear, not that she heard him in the first place.

"That sounded super dirty, but I approve." Caroline said with a smirk. He nodded, indeed if it wasn't for his dead body nearby it would have sounded like the witch was teasing him.

They soon got in the car, and he followed after.

Elijah, her bloody plan was Elijah.

In the grand scheme of things, he would have to give it to her. It was smart, actually quite brilliant in fact. His noble brother was a stick in the mud, and had, in fact, helped dagger him more times than he could count, but Elijah never wanted them to spend forever in their coffins.

Plus, Elijah was quite set against Nik at the moment. Elijah knew that unlike Finn, who would be mopping around like a suicidal dog, or Rebekah, who would defend Nik's actions, Kol would definitely side with him.

He watched quietly until the Doppelganger ran off. Was Elijah, yet again, smitten with a Doppelganger? Praise the Gods, he hoped not. The first one was bad already, and he had skipped the whole Katerina debacle ... he defiantly didn't want to assist to another one.

"It's like this, I've been haunted by an annoying ghost lately who persistently said that he needed my help." Bonnie said to Elijah, and Kol rolled his eyes.

"I did not, you make it sound as if I was begging you for salvation." Kol scoffed, although he probably came off as a little desperate.

"What does this have to do with me?" Elijah asked.

"Oh nothing... other than the fact that he looks like you and has a dagger in his heart." The witch said with a shrug, and Elijah used his speed to approach her.

"Explain." Elijah growled.

"Now we're getting somewhere." Kol said with a smirk. After almost losing hope at freedom, it felt like hope hadn't abandoned him after all.

"Your younger brother Kol is a menace, even from the other side the guy finds a way to get what he wants." His witch sassily replied, and he grinned. She knew him so well already, Mikaelson's always got what they wanted.

"That's impossible, he's..." Elijah refuted.

His witch took her phone and handed it to Elijah. For someone dead over a century, Kol already got the hang of technology from seeing it from this side of the veil.

"Go ahead, I just recently changed my wallpaper." Bonnie said.

Kol walked closer to his brother and let out a chuckle at the picture on his witch's phone. "Darling, I have to give it to you. You have impeccable taste. When I have that dagger out of my heart, I'll even pose for you."

"How?" Elijah inquired in a serious tone.

"I did mention that I skipped the party, yesterday didn't I?" Bonnie replied with a grin that matched his own. "I sort of stood up one of your brothers to go grab the other one."

"I bet Nik wasn't pleased, or at least he won't be when he figures that out." Kol said, imagining his brother's reaction when he found out that the tiny witch in front of him had managed to steal from him.

"Where is he?" Elijah asked.

"Still taking a nap, I wouldn't put myself on his snack list so easily." His witch replied. "So are your other siblings, I believe. The only other coffin I checked had a gorgeous blonde girl in it, straight out of the 20s from what it looked like."

"I wouldn't eat you darling." He commented, amused. "Actually, that was a lie. I would, but you would definitely enjoy it."

"What is it that you want Miss Bennett?" Elijah asked, narrowing his eyes at Bonnie. "Do hurry up, my patience does have its limits."

"Calm down Elijah, I'm not threatening you." His witch replied rolling her gorgeous green eyes. " I made a deal with Kol, and now I want to make another one with you."

"Oh, so you have not forgotten me, have you?" Kol asked, carefully looking at her. It seemed his anger had been misplaced, while he didn't enjoy the fact that she was using him, she had never planned on breaking their deal.

He had to admit that stealing him from Klaus would put her in danger from his neurotic sibling, getting the other sibling- the one that normally controlled Klaus- on her side was actually a well thought out plan.

The witch proceeded to tell his brother about some secret human society planning on making vampires that feed on vampires, much like Mikael. He really wanted to rip them to shreds, one Mikael the Destroyer was enough.

"In return, I'll give you Kol, however, you must take the dagger from his heart. Not a few decades from now either, you must take it out as soon as possible." He heard his witch say and finally put his mind to rest, his trust wasn't misplaced.

"Deal, I had no plans to keep my siblings in their coffins in the first place." Elijah replied, and by now he was fully beaming.

Elijah, Bonnie and Caroline continued to speak about the Ritual but he tuned them out. He didn't care, he was going to be free. A century of loneliness, of not being seen or heard, was finally coming to an end.

"Then we'll continue as planned, however what about Kol?" Elijah asked, and Kol turned towards the witch but it was Caroline who replied.

"As a sign of faith, we'll give him to you now." Caroline said. He noticed the stare his witch gave her friend but ignored it. She had probably planned on handing him over after his brother completed his part of the deal, but he didn't exactly want to wait a few more hours.

"Caroline, I grow fonder of you by the second." Kol said, pointing at the vampire. This young vampire was on his side and should prove to be a major help in making sure his witch didn't get herself killed.

He followed them until they reached Bonnie's car, and he could only smirk in delight as his brother took the dagger out of his heart. The last thing he heard before everything turned dark was Elijah saying. "Yes, we. I believe Kol will be up for a good old massacre as soon as he wakes up."

Oh brother, you know me so well.

--

"Where to now?" Caroline asked from her seat, as she changed stations on the radio.

"We are going to see Klaus." I replied with a smirk, wondering what Caroline's reaction to the 'blond vampire nemesis with an English accent' as she had once aptly put it.

"You are just going to knock on his door?" Caroline asked with an arched brow.

"Well, since he's not the Salvatore's I do have some manners." I replied. "I'm not just going to barge in."

"And here I thought kicking front doors open and enter while cursing everyone in sight was your thing." Care tease, grinning at me.

"If the house I'm walking in is the Salvatore Boarding House, and the people inside are the Salvatores and a unicorn, then yes." I replied, nodding at her. "Dealing with Klaus, however, needs some tact, which is why I'm bringing you along."

"We both know I don't have much of that." Caroline replied, skeptical.

"Don't worry, you're my lucky charm today." I replied with a grin, after all in cannon Klaus become obsessed with Caroline after seeing her for the first time.

"Is this you getting back at me for giving Kol to Elijah?" Caroline asked, still not believing me. "Because, come on, the guy has spent the past century dead. Plus, didn't we talk about being nicer to people?"

"Giving him to Elijah now or a few hours later didn't dent my plan that much, so don't worry, I'm not mad." I replied with a shrug, although I was kind of nervous on how the plan would go tonight with Kol thrown into the mix.

"Great." Caroline said, relief. "So where is the big bad in town?"

"At Alaric's I believe." I replied, as I finally parked the car in front of Alaric's building. "Although I think he's already in his own body."

We took the stairs, and when we reached Ric's apartment, I knocked on the door three times. The door suddenly opens and Alaric comes running off, he sees us but doesn't stop.

Caroline and I share a look, and I decide to step into the apartment. A witch and a warlock are on their knees in front of an empty coffin, looking tired after a hard spell.

On the other side of the room, Klaus is looking at Katherine with a grin. "Zdravei Katerina." He said, looking at her.

"Damn, that was epic villain material right there. Although I was kind of expecting a cloak and a mustache, maybe some horns and a tail too." Caroline blurts out, and everyone in the room turns their heads towards us. She feels a bit apprehensive with the looks, but remains next to me.

Klaus looks at Caroline slightly amused, either by her words or by her blunt nature.

"I guess the rabbit was finally caught by the wolf." I commented, looking at Katherine. "It only took five centuries."

"Well, well, well ..." Klaus said turning towards me. "What do I owe the pleasure Miss Bennett?"

"I believe you would like to make a deal with me." I replied, not being intimidated by his stare.

"I have my doppelganger, the moonstone, the sacrifices and a witch already ready to unbind the curse." He casually replies with a smirk, proud of himself. "Why would I need to make a deal with you?"

"Do you?" I asked, arching my eyebrow at him. "Do you really?"

Klaus narrows his eyes at me, not amused. "What is that supposed to mean?"

"Would you mind If we take a seat?" I ask, casually strolling towards the table in the middle of the room. Caroline follows after, and not waiting for an answer we both take a seat. Klaus's eyes follow us, while Katherine looks amused.

The witches in the room look at Klaus, waiting for orders, and he finally nods towards the door. They soon leave, leaving only Caroline, Klaus, Katherine and I in the room.

"Well then witch, what were you implying?" Klaus said, carefully looking at me.

"I suppose Katherine told you all about us, I bet she mentioned that I usually like to make deals." I reply, nodding towards the vampire doppelganger.

Klaus nods. "Yes, she has mentioned that."

"Did she mention that Damon killed the werewolf she had planned on giving to you?" I inquired.

"No, she did not." Klaus replied. "What does this have to do with anything?"

"Well, you see, said werewolf was the only one who knew the location of the moonstone and at the time Damon made a deal with me. I would help him interrogate the werewolf and destroy Katherine's plan and in return he would give me the moonstone." I explained, and Klaus smirked.

"And yet I have the moonstone." He gloated.

"Do you?" I replied, with a smirk of my own. "Do you really think I would just give away one of my possessions? I'm greedy, hell some people even call me a miser. I don't do anything for free, and I sure as hell don't give my things away for free. When Katherine threatened Elena's life for the stone, I spelled a decoy and had my cousin put a spell on it that made whoever touch it next lose conscience, later the Salvatore's thought that if Katherine wanted the moonstone so much, she could rot with it in the tomb. I didn't particularly notice whatever happened to stone after, but I can assure you that what you have isn't the real deal."

"And what is stopping me from tearing it from your dead corpse?" Klaus growled, his hands hitting the table in rage.

"Calm yourself mate, I could have just kept that to myself and tomorrow your ritual would have failed." I replied, rolling my eyes at his temper. "And yet, here I am."

He took a breath and smirked. "And yet here you are."

"Indeed, you see I'm all for you breaking the curse." I commented with a shrug. "You we're possessing Alaric at the time, so you know I'm not inclined to go against you."

"And yet you made a deal with Elijah, in which you would help him defeat me." Klaus said, sounding curious.

"Please, we both know he would have failed." I replied with a shrug. "He didn't have it in him, you're his brother."

"How do you know that particular piece of information witch?" Klaus asked, narrowing his eyes once more.

"I'm a witch who knows shit, the past the future, it's all mingled up in here." I explained, touching my forehead. "Which is why I'm here. You are going to become a Hybrid, as you were always meant to be."

Klaus looked at me dubious, not sure if he should believe me.

"Believe me, she really can see the future." Caroline commented, speaking up for the first time since she sat down. "It gets annoying real fast. She knew the Salvatore's were coming years before they even got to town, hell I even remember that one time she called Elena a dishwasher of a doppelganger when we were kids, we just thought she had come up with a new word."

"When the wolf catches the rabbit, he shall say 'Zdravei Katerina'." Katherine whispered from her seat, looking at me with wide eyes. "That's what you told me last month."

"Let's say you do know the future, what does this have to do with you giving me my moonstone?" Klaus asked, probably still not believing it. Well, not that I was expecting anything else, he was known to be paranoid.

"I will give you the moonstone and in return, you are not going to use Caroline here and Tyler as your sacrifices." I commented, nodding towards Caroline. "Nor are you going to turn Elena's aunt into a vampire and use her."

Caroline gasped, before looking at Klaus outraged. "I was going to be sacrificed? What the hell have I ever done to you?"

"Don't take it personally love." Klaus replied, giving her a smile with his dimples fully showing.

"I get it, nobody likes being cursed but couldn't you like sacrifice Damon or something?" Caroline replied, rolling her eyes. "And Tyler just become a werewolf, couldn't you have gotten Jules instead? That woman is a raging werewolf bitch who enjoys ripping humans and vampires to shreds."
