《Black Cat » The Vampire Diaries》Crashing a Tea Party

I parked the car in the school parking lot, already late or my classes, not that I was planning on attending. I came to school to talk with Care, after all, I did miss one of her dances, not to mention one where Klaus came to make chaos, without telling her why. I ditched her; she was bound to be pissed.

I walked into the school and I didn't even have to wait long before an annoyed voice sounded through the corridor. "Bonnie Sheila Bennett, where in the blazes of hell have you been?"

"Hey Care Bear, you are not going to believe the night I've had." I turned towards the raging Caroline with a smile on my face, trying and failing to look innocent.

The blonde vampire reached me and grabbed my arm, pulling me out of the crowded school corridor and into the parking lot.

"You better have a good explanation sister, or else I have a rant planned that you will have to listen to until I am finished." Caroline said, narrowing her eyes at me.

"Listen, it was a total bitch move to ditch your party and especially not telling you I was ditching. It really had nothing to do with the fact that the 60s are the lamest theme you ever came up with, it didn't even have anything to do with the fact that Klaus was planning on attending." I explained, before correcting myself. "Actually, it did have to do with Klaus attending."

"The 60s are not lame, and if you try to tell me you didn't have an appropriate outfit, I will have you know I had one ready for you. What does Klaus ruining my party have to do with anything? Thank God that the Salvatore's and Klaus had their pissing contest outside the gym, or it would have completely ruined my party. Did you know he was possessing Alaric?"

"It seems all went well even without me at the party, that's cool even If I'm feeling slightly unimportant." I replied, before walking towards my car with Caroline by my side.

"You still haven't explained what you were doing last night Bonnie, or why you didn't pick your phone or reply to my texts." Caroline crossed her arms over her chest and demanded an answer.

"Ok, I have a great explanation." I replied before using my car key to unlock the car. I nodded at the trunk and told the vampire. "See for yourself."

Caroline carefully looked at the trunk of my car, before opening it. She looked down, let out a loud gasp and closed it immediately. She quickly looked around to check if anybody was close by before turning towards me with wide eyes.

"Bonnie, why is there a vampire corpse with a dagger in his heart in the trunk of your car?" She slowly asked, still processing what she had seen.

"Because since I knew Klaus would be busy last night I went ahead and stole his brother's corpse from him like a master thief." I explained, she was taking this better than I thought she would.

She blinked at me slowly, before opening the trunk again and taking another peek. "Oh my god, that's the vampire pirate." She squealed.

"Yup." I cheerfully replied, still kind of proud of myself.

"Why does he still have the dagger in his heart?" Caroline asked. "I thought the plan was to help him because you made a deal with him."

"The deal was that I would get the dagger out, not that I would do it myself or that I would do it right now." I shrugged, although I could bet my ass that Kol's ghost was probably cursing my existence right about now.

"Ok, stealing a sexy vampire pirate corpse is an apt excuse for ditching my awesome party." Caroline replied with a smile, for some reason she was way too cheerful about this.

"Awesome." I said, happy with this ending.

"So, what are you going to do with him?" Caroline asked, nodding at the truck with the corpse inside.

"Well, I'm going to use him as a bargaining chip, obviously." I explained, rolling my eyes. "I'm going to get as much of him as I possibly can."

"That sounded super dirty, but I approve." Caroline said with a smirk.

"Anyway, I got to get my ass to Lockwood's house. Wanna come?" I asked, pulling open the cars' door.

"You aren't ditching me today Bon Bon." The vampire replied and got on. "By the way, why are we going to Tyler's? I just saw him 10 minutes ago in science class."

"We're going to see his house guest, and possibly crash a tea party." I replied with a smirk and drove off.

---

Caroline and I pulled around the Lockwood's mansion and parked, before opening the front door and letting ourselves in. Caroline nodded towards the living room, probably listening with her vampire earing, and I followed behind her.

"Yes, Klaus is my brother." Elijah said as we walked in, before turning towards us and nodding as a greeting.

"I am shocked." I said with a gasp, putting my hand over my heart. Caroline who was next to me snorted in amusement.

"Bonnie, Caroline... what are you doing here?" Elena asked, perplexed. "Did Stefan and Damon send you?"

"Do we look like mail that can be sent wherever and whenever?" I sarcastically replied, before taking a seat next to Elijah. "We're here for the Original."

"Glad to see your back from the dead, again." I said to Elijah, pouring myself some of that tea. "Soo, your bro is in town, being all dramatic. Tragic business really, thank god I skipped that party."

"Right, they're brothers, I'm still processing." Elena said, blinking.

"Miss Bennett, always a pleasure. A pleasure to meet you as well Miss Forbes." Elijah greeted before turning towards Elena. "Yes, I'm a little behind on the times, but I believe the term you're searching for is 'OMG'." The Original slowly took a sip from his tea, and I snorted. The guy looked like the Queen of England having her afternoon tea.

"Pleasure is all mine; I mean you're like one of the procreators of my kind, it's like I'm meeting Adam and Eve." Caroline replied, nibbling on a cookie and appraising the vampire next to her. "By the way, you mister Original Vampire, have great hair."

"Thank you, Miss Forbes." Elijah said with a smile, not even bothered to look embarrassed or bashful. Then again, he probably had been hearing that compliment for centuries now.

Caroline smiled back, before stealing some of my tea and making herself comfortable. Meanwhile, I was amused, only Caroline would be so blunt with her words while first meeting an older than dirt vampire who could kill her in a blink of an eye.

"So, there's a whole family of Originals?" Elena asked, trying to steer the conversation her way. The only reason she woke up Elijah was for information after all.

"My father was a wealthy landowner in a village in Eastern Europe. Our mother bore seven children." Elijah explained.

"Damn, they didn't really have television back in the day, did they?" I commented with a snort, that and contraceptives.

"I can assure you we did not." Elijah replied with a smirk.

"So, your parents were human?" Elena inquired.

"Our whole family was." Elijah replied, nodding at Elena. "Our origin as vampires is a very long story, Elena. Just know ... We're the oldest vampires in the world. We are the Original family, and from us, all vampires were created."

"Right, but Klaus is your brother. And you want him dead?" Elena asked, dubious.

"Well, If I had siblings and I had to put up with them for centuries, I would probably want to murder them too." I thought out loud, because seriously who wouldn't.

"I need some air." Elijah said, getting up from his chair. "I'm feeling a tad ... dead. Come."

"And here I thought you would have gotten used to feeling dead by now." I commented lightly, before finishing my tea and grabbing a few cookies to take with me. Caroline also got up, and the three of us followed the Original outside.

"So, as you have all seen, nothing can kill an Original." Elijah said as he walked around the Lockwood property. "Not sun, not fire, not even a werewolf bite. Only the wood from one tree. A tree my family made sure was burned."

I had to try really hard not to snort, there's a whole bridge made of said wood in this town. Who knows where else it grows, nature is a bitch like that.

"That's where the white ash for the dagger comes from." Elena said, getting the gist of it.

"Yes." Elijah confirmed. "The witches won't allow anything truly immortal to walk the earth. Every creature needs to have a weakness in order to maintain the balance."

"That's not exactly true." I said, being the only witch in question in this mad tea party. "Nature itself would fight against such a thing because nothing that is alive will last forever. Everything alive will die, and while Vampires are undead your soul is still alive and as such there will always be a way for you to die. If not in body then in soul. But about witches being bitches, well we're normally like that."

Elijah nodded, understanding what I meant. "Either way, true immortality isn't allowed by nature and as witches are nature's servants, they too won't allow it."

"I could tell you why that isn't actually the truth, but it would take too long and I don't care that much." I said with a shrug, I could go on and on about how witches weren't actually servants to anything other than their whims but it would probably become a long and very philosophical conversation for my taste.

"So, the sun can't kill an Original. Why is Klaus so obsessed with breaking the Sun and Moon curse then?" The Unicorn asked.

"Right. The curse of the Sun and the Moon. It's all so ... biblical-sounding, don't you think?" Elijah asked with an amused smile.

This time I couldn't contain myself and loudly snorted. Elijah glanced at me, surprised. "It seems Miss Bennett understands what I mean."

"I didn't need to be a Seer to know it was bullshit." I replied with a shrug. "You can find a variation of the curse in almost every continent, in almost every language and all of it sounds too perfect. Plus, if there really was such a Shaman that could curse whole species like it was nothing, they would be revered by the witches as a God."

"You're a Seer?" Elena gasped, looking at me shocked.

"I thought I mentioned that to you before." Caroline said, blinking slowly as if trying to remember if she had.

"No, you didn't Care." Elena said, before turning towards me. "If I knew I would have asked you to see If I lived past Klaus trying to kill me."

"Why are you so surprised?" I asked the Doppelganger. "I did predict that your mother was an evil vampire bitch and that your father was creepy uncle John, and I didn't even charge you."

"How about predicting my death then." Elena said, crossing her arms in front of her chest while she frowned at me.

"Which one?" I asked, somewhat serious, but Elena huffed instead and shook her head at me.

"Fine, pretend I didn't ask." She replied. Too bad, I was actually serious about answering her. This was why I never gave anything up for free; when I did, they didn't even appreciate it. Next time I'm definitely overcharging her.

The Magical Unicorn known as Elena turned to Elijah. "So, what's the deal with the curse then?"

"To this day I believe that Klaus' Aztec Sketches were one of his finest works." Elijah commented.

"I don't understand. Klaus drew the Aztec sketches about the curse?"

"Roman scrolls, African tribal etching, and any other culture or continent we felt like planting it in, like Miss Bennett just mentioned." The Original said.

"You made it up, clever." Caroline commented.

"But why?" Elena asked.

"The easiest way to discover the existence of a doppelganger or to get your hands on some long, lost moonstone is to have every single member of two warring species on the lookout." Elijah explained.

"So, it's not Aztec at all?" Elena inquired, not getting it at all.

"The curse of the Sun and the Moon... is fake." Elijah explained, seeing as Elena was being slow. "It doesn't exist."

After dropping that, he started walking away from the completely shocked Elena. "What?!" The doppelganger gasped, looking at both me and Caroline in shock and followed after the Original. We followed after as well, this was way too entertaining to miss.

"Klaus and I faked the sun and moon curse dating back over a thousand years." Elijah said.

"But if there's no curse..." Elena said. The 'why the hell am I a sacrifice for?' was obviously implied.

"There's a curse." Elijah said, and Elena's hope for living was killed quicker than lightning. "Just not that one. The real one's much worse. It's a curse placed on Klaus."

"What are you talking about?" Elena asked while Care and I stayed quiet. Caroline had already read the pages on my Grimoire about the Hybrid Curse; she knew what was going on.

"Klaus has been trying to break it for the last thousand years." Elijah informed. "And you are his only hope." As he finished saying that a phone in his pocket vibrated, but he ignored it.

"What is this curse?" Elena fished for information. Meanwhile, the phone continued to vibrate.

"Your phone will not stop its incessant buzzing." Elijah said, instead of answering her. He took the phone from his pocket and handed it to Elena. "Answer it, please."

Elena picked up the call. "Stefan... what's wrong? No. No, no, no, no." She said. "Okay, I'll be right there." She hung up and looked at Elijah.

"Klaus went after Jenna, I have to go to her." Elena explained, even If Elijah probably heard the entire conversation.

"I'm afraid that wasn't part of today's arrangement." The Original replied, not pleased.

"She's my family, Elijah." Elena pleaded. "I have to. I'll be back, you have my word."

"That's doesn't mean anything to me until you live up to it." Elijah replied, not entirely convinced.

"No worries, we'll keep you company." I said, waving my hand to Caroline and I. "I did come today to speak with you after all."

"Thank you." Elena said to Elijah, before nodding in thanks at me and Care.

"Make sure Jenna is okay." Caroline said, worried. After all, she knew Jenna wasn't going to make it after the sacrifice, but since I didn't look worried, she could tell the older woman was probably fine. Shocked and frightened maybe, but mostly ok.

Elena gave Care a smile and ran off to her car, as the three of us looked at her go.

"Miss Bennett, Miss Forbes your company is much appreciated." Elijah said, turning towards us. "But I believe our deal remained intact, or are you breaching it much like Miss Gilbert?"

"Not at all, I just have some new information that I acquired while you were taking a nap that I thought you would appreciate." I replied with a shrug. "I believe will make you change your future plans."

"Enlighten me then." Elijah asked, somewhat curious.

"It's like this, I've been haunted by an annoying ghost lately who persistently said that he needed my help." I said with a forced smile, my annoyance clearly visible.

"What does this have to do with me?" Elijah asked while Caroline was amused at how I was explaining this whole predicament.

"Oh nothing... other than the fact that he looks like you and has a dagger in his heart." I informed with a shrug, and before I noticed Elijah used his speed and got right up in my face.

"Explain." He almost growled, and I remembered who I was dealing with.

"Your younger brother Kol is a menace, even from the other side the guy finds a way to get what he wants." I replied with my usual sass, dealing with dear old Tessa and Emily probably made me immune to older and dangerous people.

"That's impossible, he's..." He said, and the part where Klaus had dumped the coffins in the ocean was omitted.

I casually take my phone from my back pocket and hand it to him. "Go ahead, I just recently changed my wallpaper."

Elijah unlocks my phone and gasps. On the wallpaper of my phone was a picture of Kol's corpse in the back of my car, although the location wasn't that visible.

"How?" Elijah inquired in a serious tone.

"I did mention that I skipped the party, yesterday didn't I?" I reply with a smirk. "I sort of stood up one of your brothers to go grab the other one."

Elijah carefully looked at my face, as if reading me, before he slowly asked. "Where is he?"

"Still taking a nap, I wouldn't put myself on his snack list so easily." I replied. "So are your other siblings, I believe. The only other coffin I checked had a gorgeous blonde girl in it, straight out of the 20s from what it looked like."

"What is it that you want Miss Bennett?" Elijah asked, narrowing his eyes at me. "Do hurry up, my patience does have its limits."

"Calm down Elijah, I'm not threatening you." I replied rolling my eyes. " I made a deal with Kol, and now I want to make another one with you."

Elijah took a breath, and some of the tension on his shoulders disappeared. I wanted something from him and he wanted something from me, this put us in equal ground.

"State your terms." Elijah said.

"There's this secret human organization that knows about the supernatural and is experimenting on vampires too create a virus that will force vampires to feed on each other, it's actually quite ingenious, but it puts a threat to all of the supernatural community. I need help in dealing with them." I stated, and even Caroline looked at me shocked. I might have forgotten to mention Augustine to her. I hadn't forgotten poor Enzo, and the Doctor I had cursed was probably already on his last few days of sanity.

"Done." Elijah nodded, the Originals had been protecting our existence from the humans for centuries, this was something he would do even without a deal but it's better to make sure after all.

"In return I'll give you Kol, however you must take the dagger from his heart." I informed. "Not a few decades from now either, you must take it out as soon as possible."

I didn't know if Kol would remember our deal, nobody ever mentioned that the Original went to the Other Side in the show. But, if he did, he would be extremely pissed at me for delaying it for a day. If Elijah didn't take the dagger out soon, Kol would be on a warpath and I would be his target. I still had to deal with Klaus, Kol wanting me dead would be too troublesome.

Elijah remained quiet for a second, before finally nodding. "Deal, I had no plans to keep my siblings in their coffins in the first place."

"I'm glad we reached an agreement." I said with a smile. "We don't however have much time. Tomorrow is the full moon, and Klaus will break his curse. I still have to go and have a chat with him. And, what about you, do you still want to proceed as planned?"

Elijah remained quiet, while Care and I shared glances. The only reason Elijah wanted to kill Klaus was because he had dropped their siblings in the ocean, but that wasn't the truth and now he knew it.

"I'm unsure on how to proceed." Elijah said, before turning towards me. "You said you were a Seer; does it hold any truth?"

"You tell me, Elijah Mikaelson; son of Mikael and Esther. Brother of Freya, Finn, Niklaus, Kol, Rebekah and Henrik." I said, naming all of his family. He was probably checking my heartbeat for a lie, if I straight up told him I was a Seer when it wasn't the complete truth, he would find out but this way he wouldn't.
