《Black Cat » The Vampire Diaries》Another Bennett

We each make our separate ways into the Lockwood mansion to put our, very badly thought out, plan into action. Jeremy decided to be my manservant by carrying my bag, I let him come with me out of pity really.

While in the show this was the beginning of Beremy, or whatever the hell that ship is called, to me he was just Elena's equally annoying brother slash cousin. Not to mention I managed to keep his vampire girlfriend, Annie Fangy, undead and still kicking.

"I thought this room could work." Jeremy said as we entered an empty room on the second floor of the mansion.

"Meh." I shrugged. "It will do just fine."

He nods, taking a weapon from the bag he was carrying. I seat next to him and take out my phone from between my breasts.

Baby Gilbert looks at me with a surprised look while sending me a sideways smirk.

"What?" I asked, rolling my eyes at him. "Does it look like this skinny black dress as any pockets?"

"I didn't say anything." He replied looking at me innocently, obviously still amused. "By the way, where's your spellbook? Don't you need that to do magic? I read about it in my family's old journal."

"This isn't the dark ages, I took a picture of the spell before we got here and left it at a safe location." I replied sassily. "I'm going to use something like Emily used in the tomb, to seal the bitch known as Katherine Pierce in."

Jeremy let out a laugh, before glancing at the picture in my phone. "Damn, that looks ancient and super hard to read. What even is that? Latin? Can you do all that stuff?"

"Not exactly, it is mostly Latin but it depends on the witch and on their ancestors. Mine came from Europe, so most of our grimoires use Latin and Latin-derived languages. The witches from New Orleans, however, use French instead, but it really doesn't matter. A spell is just a way to direct our power into doing a specific thing."

"That is so cool." Jer replied in awe. "What if you used regular English in a spell? Would that work?"

"Sure, If I wanted I could go all Charmed one with a quirky rhyme and It would do the trick but even the language you use could change the spell itself. I normally keep to Latin, and I might add in a few words in a different language if I want to spice it up but because I learned magic with Latin spells they come out stronger in that language." I explained before starting on the spell, while baby Gilbert looked on amazed by watching magic for the first time in his life.

--

We eventually return to the party, the spell didn't take long but I was getting fed up with Jeremy's childlike awe at everything I did. Never mind his Ravenclaw like questions every five seconds, we get it you're curious but let me fucking concentrate!

I grab the nearest alcoholic drink nearby and I down it like a champ, maybe it will kill this horrible headache of mine.

" We need to let Stefan and Damon know the room's ready." Jeremy said, frowning at my underage drinking.

I look at him annoyed, about to tell him to go do that when a chill went up my back. I stopped in my tracks and glanced at the hunter to be. "Do you feel that?"

"What's the matter?" Jeremy asked, looking at me. "Are you cold? Maybe you should take it easy with the champagne Bonnie."

I ignored him and looked towards the other side of the room, my eyes finding a tall woman who was staring back. I narrowed my eyes, I knew that face. I had written down in my journal that Katherine had a witch that eventually betrayed her, but I hadn't remembered who it was because it was just a minor character. But now that I was looking at her I remembered the name that matched that face, Lucy Bennett. Which is weird, because I don't remember having more family but whatever.

I pushed my empty glass into Jeremy's hands and strolled towards the older witch.

"Is this the part when you introduce yourself or the part when I assume you work for the plague commonly know as Katherine and kill you?" I said with a smile as if greeting her.

"I have no idea what you mean." The other woman replied with a deadpan, carefully glancing at me. "I'm just a plus one, but great party tho."

"Sure, we can play it like that." I replied with a shrug. "I'll just pretend that you, a Bennett witch didn't just enter my town to aid a dangerous vampire known to have nefarious plans. I'll also pretend that it's not common courtesy to visit a town and meet and greet your family before you help out a vampire that has caused the death of a bunch of our ancestors."

I saw Lucy eyes widen in shock but continued on, not really giving a damn. "I'm cool with that, I do however hope you know that I'm not very merciful and If you happen to end up with your head separated from your shoulders I won't cry over it or attend your funeral."

With my speech finished, I turned around and left to go find another drink. Some nonsense cousin dropping out of the sky wasn't really in my top-ten concerns, on the other hand, the Lockwood champagne was always the expensive stuff.

--

I watched from the corner as the plan went on. Jeremy got a text from Damon and went to Katherine to tell her that the Salvatore's were waiting for her with the moonstone. Then Caroline showed her acting skill by manipulating Katherine into the room I had spelled earlier.

I saw Elena dragging Jeremy somewhere, but kept myself from her sight. I wasn't in the mood for some Elena sobbing about how we shouldn't do this because of her. Newsflash, it isn't about you.

I kept to the shadows until Jeremy started running upstairs, I followed him. It was time for drama and I was getting bored on my lonesome.

"Stop!" Jeremy exclaimed loudly, opening the door in a hurry. "You're hurting Elena! Everything you're doing to her is hurting Elena!"

Damon stops in surprise, while Katherine smirks as Stefan releases her.

"You think you two are the only ones with a witch on your side?" Katherine asks, taking the stake from Damon's hands. "Wrong and something tells me that my witch is better than your witch."

"Please." I huffed, leaning on the door in a casual way. "I knew you had a witch in here since she stepped through the front door. Quite the vicious plan you had cooked up, but not very stealthy."

"Then why haven't you got rid of the spell?" Damon asked, glaring at me.

I shrugged and remained silent. Telling him I didn't stop Lucy because I didn't feel like it would only cause him to glare at me more.

"Jeremy, go check on Elena. Make sure she's okay." Stefan said. "Go!"

Jeremy glanced at me but after seeing me unmoving he left the room.

"Let's all make sure poor Elena is okay. Just a little bit more pressure." Katherine said, cutting her hand with the stake. Stefan quickly hits her hand and throws the stake on the floor.

"Witchy any help here?" Damon asks, looking annoyed.

"I could try, but it would cost you." I replied with a bored expression on my face.

"I thought killing Katherine was a pro bono?" Stefan asked, looking at me with a grim face. Probably pissed I wasn't throwing my life away to save his girl.

"It was, but since now killing her is equal to killing your girl I'm sure you won't let me stake her." I replied.

"How about stopping the spell that links her to Elena?" Damon suggested, he really just wanted to stake Katherine.

"Linking spells are complicated to dissolve, I don't know which were the binding agents." I replied, checking out my nails. "As long as you don't kill her Elena's fine."

"I really wanted to kill her." Damon replied, almost pouting.

"I feel you." I replied nodding my head, everybody hates Katherine.

The bitch in question probably starts to feel left out of the conversation because she takes action.

"This is really gonna hurt." She says, about to drive the stake in her hand through her stomach.

"Wait!" Both Salvatore's call out.

She looks at them and smiles, sitting down on the couch nearby like a lazy cat.

"Okay. So, how about that moonstone?" She asks the brothers. I smirk, because really she should have negotiated with me. I suppose nobody told her that the moonstone was in my possession, my bad.

"The three of us together just like old times. The brother who loved me too much and the one that didn't love me enough." She monologues, and I silently roll my eyes at her dramatics. "And look, we even have a Bennett witch out and about ... she's not as pretty as Emily but she will do for remembrance sake."

"Says the five-hundred-year-old hag afraid of the vampire version of Krampus. " I snark back. The Salvatore's threw me perplexed glances but Katherine glared, she knew who I was talking about.

"And the evil slut vampire who only loved herself." Damon threw back.

"What happened to you Damon? You used to be so sweet and polite." Katherine asked. "Oh, that Damon died a long time ago." The eldest Salvatore replied."Good. He was a bore." She sassily replied with a smirk."Oh, why don't you two stop antagonizing each other?" Peaches, the peace keeper, interjected. "Where is the moonstone?" The doppelganger in the room asked again, cutting off the small talk."What do you want with it?" Stefan asked, studying her expression."Does Elena enjoy having both of you worship at her alter?" Katherine deflected.

Stefan looks at Damon, and then looks at her again with a deadpan expression.

"That was really desperate, Katherine. Don't you think that we can see right through you?" Peaches asked back.

"That was a beautiful deflection really, hitting them where it hurts." I commented aloud, the only thing I was missing was a bucket of popcorn. "If you weren't such a two-faced bitch we would get along brilliantly."

The three of them looked at me. Katherine looked intrigued, while both Salvatore's were glaring at me.

"Can it with the comments Bon Bon. We get it, you're here to watch the drama unfold but unless you have any of Katherine's secrets to share, shut up." Damon said still glaring, but I could see some amusement at my attitude too. I smile at him and send him a wink, he knew me so well.

Katherine looked at me but kept quiet, she knew I knew about Klaus so she was probably trying not to piss me off too much. She also didn't want me to snitch to the Salvatore's, being non-antagonistic towards me was her best bet.

"So it doesn't bother you that Damon's in love with your girlfriend?" She asked Stefan, deflecting once more.

"Oh, stop it." Stefan growled out."Or what? You'll hurt me?" She asked, getting up from the couch.

"Come on, Stefan. Everything that I feel, Elena feels, so go ahead." She says with a smirk, before looking at Damon. "Or better yet, kiss me Damon. She'll feel that too."

"You know, this whole Mason thing has me a bit confused. Why a werewolf? The moonstone can break a curse that would help them destroy all vampires so what's in that for you?" Stefan asked, trying to change the subject because it was getting awkward by the second.

"Sorry about your pet wolf, probably should have kept him on a tighter leash." Damon said, not sorry at all. "I'll have to remember that for next time. He's not the only wolf in town." She replied, not worried at all.

"That's clever." I commented again. Damon was paying attention, he knew I knew shit and so was Katherine. Peaches wasn't, but then again he was an idiot.

"What's is she planning?" Damon asked me with his grouchy expression on, demanding answers.

"The usual, moving the chess pieces into position and ready to be sacrificed." I replied with a shrug, moving away from the wall I had been leaning against. "Too bad she forgets she's playing chess against an old, wise and vicious King,"

"Great, more mysterious witch crap." Damon says until he notices the fear that flashes in Katherine's eyes.

"Wicked witch, please tell me more." He says, grinning from ear to ear. Since he can't kill her, he wants me to put the fear of God into Katherine. Well, the fear of Klaus but same thing.

"I'll give you a sneak peek, do you want that Miss Pierce?" I ask with a humorous smile. I was kind of enjoying frightening Katherine, her expression was hilarious. Sue me.

She looks at me with narrowed eyes but nods after checking the brother's expressions. Damon already told her he didn't understand what I was saying, and Stefan just looked lost. Witches were known to see into the future, and I had already proven that I had such knowledge.

"When the wolf catches the rabbit he shall say 'Zdravei Katerina.'" I inform, amused as hell. "I'm going to go now, this weird flirting you three have going on is amusing for a while but ten minutes of it and I want to gag."

Before any of them can say anything else I turn around and leave the room. I have some stupid cousin to hunt down and give her the fake moonstone so she can enchant that and trick Katherine.

Yes fake, a perfect copy really. One I enchanted to feel like the real thing and everything because the real one is safe and the only person that can negotiate that out of my hands is Klaus Mikaelson.

--

I look around searching for Lucy, when I finally find her she leaves the room like a fleeing rat. I follow her into the dining room.

"You looking for me?" She asks with a smile.

"I thought I made myself clear." I replied not amused, I did give her a warning and she still went and did the spell.

"I'm Lucy." She said, not that I didn't know already. "I have no interest in fighting you."

"Then you should have taken my warning to heart, because I don't have the patience to threaten you twice." I replied unamused. "Stop your linking spell and let me kill the bitch in peace."

"Give Katherine the moonstone and I will." She replied, not batting an eyelash at my glare.

"You do know this isn't the nineteen century anymore right?" I asked. "I get it, Katherine once upon a time had a Bennett witch as a slave to do her beck and call, but slavery has been abolished for a while now."

"I'm not her slave I just don't have a choice." Lucy replied with a growl. "The bitch saved my life and now I owe her. I have to pay up."

"You do know you're dealing with the she-devil here right?" I asked with a frown. "She probably had a hand in putting your life in danger in the first place, or do you think it was a coincidence she found a Bennett witch in need of help?"

Lucy let out a sigh, probably knowing that I was right. "Give me the moonstone and all will be groovy."

"You're not leaving this room until you stop the spell." I said with a shrug. "Elena's annoying as fuck but I'll have to listen to the others bitch and rant if she's hurt too much."

"Give me the stone, I don't want to hurt you." Lucy said once more.

I smirk at her and use my power to lower the temperature of the room to sub-zero. Lucy's eyes glance around the room before setting on me.

"You're an elementarist." She gasps. "Two elements at that, how old are you?"

"None of your business cousin." I replied amused. "Now that you understand the situation, let's scheme together, shall we? I have this brilliant spell that will just put any being to sleep for like ten hours, and the brilliant thing about it is that you can put it on an object so that it affects the person that touches it next. What do you think?"

"I gotta say baby cousin, not bad." Lucy replied smirking down on me.

"Call me that again and I'll freeze your tongue out."

Meanwhile on the other side...

Kol was having a blast with his new found job. Stalking the young impossible witch known as Bonnie Bennett not only was entertaining but also killed the boredom he had felt for the past hundred years stuck on the hell known as the other side.

The sassy little witch spent most of her time releasing peasant vampires of their coin for information or her magical help. When she's not doing that she's either glaring at the idiots around her or threatening them in delightful and positively cruel manners. He nearly died of amusement listening to her threaten the other Bennett witch.

That's not even the best part. This one, she's clever. Clever enough to keep up with Katerina Petrova, the one not even Nik could catch. But more than that, she's a seer or an oracle of some kind. He had met a few of those during his travels, but she didn't have the normal tells.

Seers normally were a tad crazy and empty-minded, because they saw all the time. Oracles on the other hand rarely slept well because they saw in their dreams. He didn't know how she was seeing, but however the hell she did it he knew it had something to do with what made her special. Whatever it was made it possible for her to survive an impossible spell.

The girl was impossible, that just made him want to figure her out all the more.
