《{WICKED GAMES} Mitsuya x Fem!Reader》twenty nine

When Hakkai and I arrive at Toman we see that everyone is thankfully already gathered, including Draken and Emma. I'm so relieved; this will be a bit easier now since we've already got everybody assembled together. So the second we step off our bikes, Hakkai and I run right up to Mikey. He looks at us a bit oddly, extremely confused as to why we're both out of breath and in a panic.
"What do you look so freaked out about?" he asks.
"Y/N and Yuzuha need help," I huff as I catch my breath.
Emma's eyes widen nervously as she listens. I don't blame her, she was just with us a little while ago and everything was okay (besides for the whole dress incident).
I begin to explain to Mikey about how I had gotten involved with Kisaki and how he introduced me to the job at Wisteria. I then begin to get a bit hesitant once I arrive at the part about Y/N going to the club. And I have good reason since Mikey's eyes visibly darken into endless black pits as he listens to me speak. Y/N wasn't wrong when she told me he'd be pissed...
Mikey nods and slowly walks over to a table. He pulls out a chair and sits down quietly. "Stop talking," he finally interrupts after I begin to ramble on and on about how Kisaki manipulated Y/N into going to the club and that it really isn't her fault. He then places his hands on his head and looks down, thinking silently.
"Mitsuya," Draken calls out, "Please continue. I want to hear the rest of this story."
"Well, Y/N knew something was off with Chikao and she wanted to figure it all out..." I begin before going into more detail about our plan involving her infiltration into the Otsuda gang, more specifically with Kisaki and Hanma.
"Why did you make Yuzuha that dress then?" Emma asks worriedly. "If you were planning on breaking them up, why would you go to all of that effort?"
Though my eyes meet with Emma's as she speaks, I'm unable to give her a response while maintaining that eye contact. The truth is I feel a bit ashamed for not having as much trust in Y/N as I should have.
"Because I wasn't so sure her plan would work," I admit.
Finally, Mikey joins the conversation again with a bit more conviction in his eyes. "And what do you think about Y/N now?"
I can feel Hakkai's burning stare into my body as I'm forced to answer this strangely-formulated question.

"She's smart and she can do a lot when she believes in herself. I didn't recognize it at first and I'm to blame for that, but she means well-"
"But what about when she breaks her promises?" Mikey continues. He seems more pissed than looking to help...
I think back to when Y/N promised me she wouldn't go back to Wisteria. She would have kept her promise, but only ended up going back to help me out.
"She has nothing but good intentions and when she messes up it's not due to a lack of effort."
As Mikey nods quietly to himself, I look over to my side and see Hakkai smiling proudly. I suppose he agrees with me, though the look on his face is a bit strange to see. Why does he look so full of himself all of a sudden? It's not like he's saying anything.
"Okay, Mitsuya, Hakkai, I'll help," Mikey agrees to my relief as he stands up from his seat. "Y/N is a part of Toman and Yuzuha pretty much is, too."
He then steps up on top of the chair and cups his hands around his mouth to project his voice. "Alright captains and VCs of each division, let's get going as quickly as possible! Our Treasurer is in a tight spot and Hakkai's sister might be, too, if we don't hurry it up!"
"Mikey," I call out to him as he steps down from his makeshift platform, "Thank you."
He nods silently, still not looking too pleased despite his decision to help. "I'll follow you," he says sternly before walking off to his bike.
Hakkai and I run straight to our bikes and lead the others straight to the construction site. When we get there, already there are a hundred guys in white and gold uniforms standing outside. But what catches my attention isn't any of them but the way that Y/N is being tugged outside by her hair, and still bound by rope, as Kisaki pulls her along. Hanma watches in amusement from behind as he follows the two of them. As for Yuzuha, I don't see her anywhere.
Mikey's the first to dismount his bike and walk onto Otsuda's property. Hanma then steps past Y/N and walks right up to our Commander. "I wouldn't get too close or something bad might happen to the cute little Treasurer of ours, Mikey."
Mikey looks confused for the umpteenth time this evening. Shit, I forgot to mention that little detail about Y/N actually becoming Otsuda's Treasurer. Hanma's quick to notice and relishes in that fact.

"Oh, you didn't know? Y/N's part of Otsuda," Hanma grins.
"We don't care what you think she is!" Hakkai shouts. "Give her back!"
Just as Hanma's about to say something most likely cruel to Hakkai, Kisaki clears his throat and interrupts.
"Alright," he shrugs carelessly. "I'll leave her alone once Draken's dead."
Mikey growls and narrows his eyes towards the man holding Y/N.
"You're really going to turn this into an all our brawl all for my sweet, little girlfriend? Uh oh, Y/N, aren't you gonna stop 'em before they get hurt?" Hanma drawls.
What the hell is he even talking about? She's not his goddamn girlfriend.
Before anyone's got a chance to say anything more, a few men from either side of Kisaki charge directly at Mikey. Luckily, Mikey's able to defend easily, but it's the starter to fighting ensuing all around.
When I see Hanma getting himself into the fight, I run straight up to him and punch him right in the face.
"I bet you've been wanting to do that for a while, hm?" he laughs.
"Longer than you know."
"Come on, don't be such a jealous little shit. It looks horrible for your nice guy persona," he chuckles as his fist impacts right against my face, forcing me to step back and bump into something solid behind me. When I turn around, my nerves are settled to see Draken ready to take over.
"Go find Y/N," he shouts. "I'll take care of this annoying zombie."
"Sure, thanks," I nod quickly before taking off towards where I had last seen Y/N. And although Hanma attempts to pull me back towards him, Draken cuts him off.
Finally, I approach Kisaki who's still guarding Y/N in the exact same spot as before. Nobody's even gotten anywhere near either of them.
"You can go now," I yell, hoping he'll avoid a physical fight, though I doubt that's true.
"Not unti-" he begins before getting cut off with a loud inhale. The three of us look down and see blood beginning to drip out of his stomach.
"You fucker," Yuzuha grumbles as she forces her knife even deeper into his back. "Leave my friends alone already!"
Holy shit, she really would do it...
Yuzuha smiles as she peers around Kisaki's back. "You didn't really think I'd let you save her, do ya? She's my friend, too. Plus, I totally owe her."
I can't do anything at this moment besides stare in awe at Yuzuha. She's seriously intense it's almost sickening; the opposite of her brother. I watch as she pulls the knife from Kisaki and uses it to cut apart the rope and tape around Y/N's body as I stand and watch.
Yuzuha hugs her and begins apologizing profusely once Y/N's free. Y/N's too drained to speak back, but she hugs Yuzuha tightly. While the three of us are distracted, we don't notice as Kisaki pulls out a gun and points it right at Y/N.
It would have been an absolute disaster if he wasn't instantly kicked in the back of the head and pushed onto the ground. That's when we notice Mikey standing behind him with a serious look on his face as he hovers over Kisaki.
"I don't want to see you back at Toman ever again, you piece of shit, or I'll kill you."
He then proceeds to step right over Kisaki as though he means nothing. When Yuzuha notices he's getting closer to Y/N, she backs away and stands beside me. Despite that intense look in Mikey's eyes, none of us were expecting the way he punches Y/N square in the face, causing her to stumble down onto her hands and knees.
"You really test me sometimes, dammit. Get up or die!" he tells her darkly. I curse myself for doing nothing to intervene for fear that if I do, it may only get worse for her.
It takes Y/N to get herself ready, and in her moment of hesitation, Mikey looks ready to stomp her face in. However, once she musters up enough strength she quickly sits up onto her knees. It's now that I see tears streaming down her face. She hadn't cried while I yelled at her this afternoon, nor did she cry when Kisaki and Hanma did nothing but torture her. But now that Mikey's here she begins to break down.
He bends down slightly and takes her cheek in his hand. "You had me worried, stupid. Don't break your promise to me again." As Y/N begins to nod profusely, Mikey looks over to me. "Both of you, get her out of here."
"Wait, what about Chikao?" Yuzuha asks.
"No sign of him yet, but I'll take care of it, don't worry. Go with Mitsuya and Y/N, okay?"
Yuzuha agrees and helps me carry Y/N to her car. The second Y/N sits down safely in the car, she passes out.
"So what now?" Yuzuha asks as I shut the door.
"We'll meet up at your house. She can rest there and we'll wait for Hakkai to come back."

A Mildly Odd Reality Breaker
Omar receives an unexpected visitor who comes baring a gift—a "registration ticket"—in the form of a small metal card. The ticket is itself an offer to participate in the game, "Reality Break." Accepting this offer means that Omar will be able to perceive the true nature of reality where there is not one, but two dimensions of time, and in this second dimension history changes (and somewhat "frequently"). Along with this, he will also gain access to the "chronopause"; another reality that is not so much parallel to our own as it is perpendicular, which acts as both a place and the natural boundary between non-sequential points on the timeline. Using the chronopause, Omar will become a chrononaut with the ability to travel through time, and as a player, he will be given a cybernetic interface and his own portable extradimensional storage space. It's a strange conversation, but due to Omar's dismally short attention span, he only consciously hears that last bit about the portable pocket space, and that's only after the physics-defying void is opened in his living room and literally waved in front of his face. Reality is certainly stranger than most people realize, but then again, so is Omar. Thankfully, he responds well to shiny things, and for better or for worse, his chronic inattentiveness is the least of his psychological issues. Omar also has a mild form of "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" which presents itself as an occasional, arbitrary need to disobey others (especially authority figures). However, his oddest psychological issue by far is his "abnormally hyperactive" subconscious mind. Outwardly and consciously, Omar is a lazy, apathetic man-child prone to mildly asinine behavior. Subconsciously, he's some sort of genius capable of extraordinary feats of cognition. Most of the time, Omar is a (technically) functioning adult, but in order to live as such, he must rely entirely upon unusual abilities he's completely unaware of, despite the fact that he uses them regularly. Up until now, his life had merely been ridiculous, but now it was also a game. Note: The narrative style is that of a reliable narrator with a "3rd-person sarcastic" POV. This story takes place in the Reality Breakers/Chronopause universe.
