《Unknown Love ~{discontinued}~》Chapter 16

"Ma'am, we are ready for the attack, we fire on command."
"Thank you, I would like you to attack now and make sure to bring the experiment back. ALIVE!!" A female voice shouted.
"Yes, ma'am..."
I curl up on Tords couch since his room is closed. UGH, why does is that guy have to have bed sooooo comfy?? Well, at least I'm getting a new room instead of the ones the failed experiments get. Hmm... I wonder how Joseph is?
I stroll over to the door, scratching it to hopefully get Tords attention. Yes, success! Tord stumbles over, opening the door. I bark in 'thank you' and runoff.
I find the halls of the experiments, looking to see if Joseph is around. Bingo! Joseph is entering a room. I run towards him, barking. I got his attention and I sit at his feet.
"Tom?" Joseph asks, petting my head. I nod, answering his question. "Why do you look like this? Wait, nevermind. Wanna come in my room?" I nod once again, walking past him and into his room.
I bark in approval, curling up like a cat on his bed. His room looks like the average room, desk, bed, drawers, mirror and bathroom.
Joseph continues to pet and scratch behind my ear.
CRASH
"WE NEED TO GET ON LOCKDOWN!! NOW!! EXPERIMENTS ARE NOT SAFE!!! REPEAT!!! EXPERIMENTS ARE NOT SAFE!!" The speakers around the base spoke. I didn't listen and ran out Josephs room before he could lock his room. Something told me to go. I don't know, just like a sixth sense?
I ran past Edd and Matt, who looked to be handling their battle perfectly. New guns and stuff. Yeah, they're fine! I continue to run on all paws, finding a scene I wish I didn't.

A male was surrounded by the attacking army. Not any male. Tord.
Smoke appeared from my eyes. Why do I care all of a sudden? I don't care.
Tom transformed from his current form to his more destructive and deadly form. Charging towards the group, knocking down the soldiers surrounding Tord. Tord looked up in shock, his enemy, protecting him.
Tom growled loudly, ready to attack at any moment. A soldier raised his gun, only to be pushed down by Toms tail.
Tom lunged at a group of new soldiers, attacking them. Ripping them from limp to limp. Blood trickled down Toms jaw, staining his purple fur. A few cracks of new broken bones could be heard, some loud enough to echo. More and more soldiers kept charging, all being knocked out and injured badly or just dead.
"STOP YOU PATHETIC ASSHOLES!!!" A female screamed. Tom only growled. The black army leader appeared. Tom recognizes her and growls more, standing in a protective stance by Tord, who is still sitting on the ground. "HELLO SUCCESSOR!!!" She chirps, clasping her hands together.
Tom only growls louder. "I see you have killed or badly injured HALF MY ARMY?!" She yelled up at the purple beast who just growls. "Now stand down and listen to ME!!" She screams, stomping her foot like a child having a tantrum.
"Pfftttt you think he's going to listen to you?? He barely listens to me! I don't even know why he's protecting ME OF ALL PEOPLE?!" Tord exclaims, standing up beside Tom and places a hand on his side. "Besides, Like you said, he killed half your army already, could probably kill the other half if you stay longer!"
"GRRR I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE RED LEADER AND THAT MUTT WILL BE MINE?!!" She screams, running away with a few soldiers.

Tom awoke, human, on a couch. He sat up, looking around. "Where am I?" Tom muttered, not expecting an answer.
"My office, where else? Besides, we need to talk..." Tord responded, sitting beside Tom.
"About what?" Tom asked, leaning back against the couch.
"The attack yesterday," Tord stated. Tom nodded. "Why did you save me? Protect me? Kill half of the attacking army?- Well, that's good actually, means their weaker..." Tord trailed, hoping for Tom to answer his main question.
"I'm not too sure, I was with Joseph. Then I had heard a crash and in an instant, I was running down the halls. Like it was a reflex, instinct or something." Tom explained, gazing at the bland ceiling. "Once I found you, something clicked. I transformed into the monster and started to attack! I don't understand why..."
Tord nodded, understanding. "So, you like-like me?~" Tord purred, leaning over to Tom.
Once Tom was out of his daze, he heard what Tord said and immediately his cheeks heated up. "W-What?? no! I hate you!!" Tom stuttered out, a blushing mess now. Tom stuffed his face into his hands and brought his knees to his chest.
Tord wrapped an arm around Tom. "Don't worry, You can't lie to me. Maybe I like you too?~" Tord whispered, bring Tom into a hug. Tom actually hugging back.
"Whatever... commie..." Tom muttered, now the two laying on the couch, Tom on top of Tord and Tords arms wrapped around Tom. "You're actually quite comfortable! You my pillow now!" Tom chirped, nuzzling into Tords chest.
"Hey! I'm no pillow!" Tord protest.
"You are now..." Tom muttered, a dorky smile on his face. Tom soon falling to sleep.
"Fine..." Tord sighed, knowing Tom had just fallen asleep. He took this chance to get some sleep too, soon following Toms footsteps.

Maybe, just maybe, he could make this life a bit more interesting. ----------------------------------------**Author's Note**---------------------------------------- Hello Everyone, I am Vi, Cat Vi. This is my first attempt at writing a story. I am a complete beginner at this. The closest thing to an organized story I’ve ever written is essay reports back in high school. There might be syntax errors and weird language all over the place. So, apologies in advance. I’ll be trying my best to make this story as interesting as possible, and with your feedback I am sure I can make something nice out of it. Constructive criticism is appreciated. And you are welcome to comment any errors you might notice. I’ll try to fix them up as soon as I can. For now, I don’t have a schedule. But if the story gets traction, I will try to work something out. **Cover Image Drawn by me.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
