"W-What!" I say, a bit too loud. "I'm giving you, your sight back. Whats the point in working here if you are blind?" A few laughs escape the Norwegian male. "Thanks, commie..." I mumble, a small smile tugging my lips.
~a week later~
I lay back on my bed, staring up at the ceiling blindly, literally. I've been locked up in my room for a week. I couldnt do anything useful so I stayed in here. Today, maybe, I'll be getting my new eyes.
knock knock
I sit up, slowly heading to the door. Turning the doorknob, a hand grabs mine. "Whaaa??" I said in complete confusion. "There ready!" voice similar to Edds chirped. "They look amazing too!" Matt chirped in. I felt a smile on my face.
After walking into, who knows which room. I heard quiet snoring. Why? I don't know. Edd dragged me over to a chair. "Sit here, we need to wake someone up," Edd exclaimed, walking away. I sat on the chair bored.
Edd walked over to a sleeping Tord. Tord had overworked himself the 17th time this week but finally was finished. Edd shook Tord lightly. "Tooorrrdddd... wakey, wakey!" Edd said. Tords eyes slowly open. "Huh?" Tord mumbled, sitting up in his chair. "Toms here, you do what you gotta do. Matt and I will leave you two. Come on Matt." Edd grabbed Matts arm, dragging him out the lab. Tord picked up the goggles, walking over to Tom. "Thomas, this may hurt..." Tord said calmly. "Okay..." Tom mumbled. Tord placed the goggles on Tom. "Ready?" Tord asked. Tom nodded. Tord clicked a button.
Wires from the goggles intertwined with Toms eyes sockets, trying to find a way to turn on. Tom whimpered at the pain, almost animal-like. The screen flickered on. Two green pixel eyes appeared. "Woah..." Tom muttered a few stray tears lingered his cheeks. Tord wiped them away. "How is it?" Tord asked, removing his hand. "I can see!" Tom chirped, hugging Tord. "Thank you, commie.." Tom mumbled into Tords grey shirt. Now that Tom could see, Tord only wore sleepwear. Why? He doesn't know.

The two pulled away from the awkward hug. "You go catch up with Edd and Matt. I need to clean up a bit." Tord said, turning around to his mess from passing out and working on Toms goggles. "No, Red Leader. I can see you need sleep. Ill clean this up for you. After all, you gave me back my sight." Tom offered. Tord turned around to face Tom. "Are you sure?" Tord asked. Tom nodded and got to cleaning. "Fine..."Tord huffed, leaving the lab and into his office.

Letters from a Dying World
Times historic are often penned after the fact in the lifeblood of the pitiful, forgotten masses. That roiling, uncountable crush of humanity, they who held the pikes and they who threw down the tyrants. Their veins opened by gazes academic, sharp and cruel, and pecked away at with quills, written out of their own story. The Second Dark Crusade was a time of such poignancy. A time when the light of man waned and flickered, choking in the acrid smoke of its own inadequacy. As befitting of such an age it has been covered more than a capital whore, and so I attempt not to tell that story again. That story of dull, unfeeling analysis. Neither here will you find the browbeating, propagandistic screeds so common in the hands of men, the light of youth still burning behind their eyes. Nay, here I shall attempt to cover fresh ground, not tread on the grave dirt of long dead authors. Here I shall attempt to tell the story of the small lives caught, unbeknownst to them, in the great and torrential downpour that we now call history. Here lies the true story of The Second Crusade. - Loremaster Ip'Qal
