"Red Leader! Sir! Wake up!" I shot open my eyes and pin down the soldier that has awoken me. It turns out to be Patryk. I release my hold and stand up straight. "Remind me, to never wake you up again, sir." He mumbled, standing up in a better position. I put a hand to the back of my neck nervously. "Soo.. why did you wake me Pat?" I asked. "Well, it's noon..." he answered. "Oh.. oh!" I rush out the infirmary, not caring about my eyepatch.
I ran down the halls of the base to my office. Getting questionable looks from my soldiers. I bust open my door, heading over to my desk to get to work.
"Could Edd and Matt come to my office right now!" I spoke sternly through the walkie-talkie. Placing my device back on my desk, I continue to plan out.

Knock knock
"Come in!" I yell over to my door, running a hand through my hair. Edd and Matt walk in. "You wanted us, sir?" Edd asked. "Yes, I need you two to help me with something." I bring my hand down, placing it on my desk. "And what would that be?" Matt asked. I turn behind me, a cork board with a lot of sketches and writing pinned to it. "I'm planning on giving Toms sight back." I chirp. Edd comes up behind me, examining the board. "Hmm... this may actually work!" He chirped. We soon got to work on designing the new eyes for Tom.

I blindly stare up at the ceiling from the infirmary bed I lay in. My hearing has become better. That's a good thing I guess. I heard I'm being let out later today or tomorrow. Hopefully today, this place is boring!

"Thomas, Joseph will be here soon to take you to your room." A male voice boomed through the quiet room. I nodded. "Thanks.." after the very short conversation, I heard footsteps and a door closing.
Sighing, I sit up and swing my legs over the side of the bed. "Thomas right?" Another male voice said. I nod my head. "I'm Joseph, I'm here to help you change into your uniform and take you to Red Leaders office." Joseph explained. I nodded once again. "Thanks Joseph."

I slide my hand across the wall, learning the area I'm walking around. Joseph is talking about random things while leading me to Tords office. "We arrived!" Joseph chirped, soon knocking could be heard and a loud, tired 'come in!'
Sliding my hand across the wall, a door frame and inside a room. I felt three pairs of eyes stare at me. Looking down, I heard Edds voice. "Matt, I think we should finish this off at our work area." "Okay Edd." Matt replied. I heard footsteps walking past me. "I guess I should leave too..." Joseph said, soon leaving the room too.
We were alone. Me and Tord. Tord and I. But I can't see him.
"Thomas..." he whispered. I felt a cold but soft hand trace my scars around my eyes. I flinch back. "What are- nevermind... why were Edd and Matt in here?" I asked. Tord sighed.
"I'm giving you, your sight back..."

This Used to be About Dungeons
This Used to be About Dungeons is a comfy slice-of-life adventuring story that occasionally features dungeons. Updates Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Mostly it's about walking in the woods with a friend, looking for mushrooms to put in your soup, or haggling with the guy selling squash, or taking care of a neglected garden. It's putting some jam on shortbread biscuits. And yes, sometimes you go down into the dungeons with your friends, and you kill monsters there, or disarm traps, but when you come out, you realize you've found the perfect magic item to give to one of the local kids that helped you out when your cat was sick. Look, the dungeons are always going to be there, and sometimes you need to make a journey to one of the Spirit Gates, or make a pilgrimage with the local Cleric of Symmetry to a holy shrine. Your tour through the local dungeons can wait. You'll have rivalries with other groups, and find some dungeon eggs that need to be carefully incubated in case they turn out to be something valuable, and help a friend to build a fishing weir. There's a big world out there, a mostly tame place with lots of magic, and even more to do and see. Join me, won't you?The cover image is Morning Sunlight Effect, Eragny, by Camille Pissarro.

Tale of Tales
* Tale of Tales is a High/Epic Fantasy saga based on the motifs of ancient myths, legends, and forgotten fairytales * Senka is no hero, but you never know what is coming for you. And if that burns down your house and family, while you are left blinded by your house’s guardian snake, the outlook becomes grim. So Senka clings to her dog’s back to survive, unaware of the fateful prophecy and the great changes to come. But when a wandering warrior becomes her protector and mysterious strangers join their hounded party through a series of seemingly chance encounters, they all begin to discover that all is not as it seems. What is pursuing her? And why? Can the strange characters gathering around her on her desperate quest save her from doom? Are they mere puppets of a young, beguiling witch guided by her own hidden motives, or are forgotten shadows rising again from the immeasurable depths of time? A tale of folk fairytales and myths, of swords and sorcery and mythical beings – a unique story of dark times and unsung heroes who may light your way. Book one, A Strange Bunch, features leading characters of various ages. This is a fantasy with their progression happening slowly throughout the series, with occasional spikes in character power after certain encounters that may or may not be random. Although the book series is written with adult and young adult audiences in mind, it is, in the tradition of such epics as “The Lord of the Rings,” suitable for all ages. Excerpt from the scene depicted on the cover of the first book: “Above this hellish pack and the rider at the forefront, flurried a ghastly sight – a cloud of dark, endlessly bustling bodies and wings, a swarm of creatures that, through their almost infinite number, produced that great din which had first reached the ears…” RELEASE SCHEDULE is about once a week. The entire series should take around two and a half years of weekly chapter episodes, so do encourage me by reacting and following. Ratings are greatly appreciated!
