《Unknown Love ~{discontinued}~》Chapter 4

I was tied to a chair. My ankles tied to the legs of the chair with rope also my wrists behind the back of the chair. I had tape over my mouth.
I looked down.
I'm such an idiot for letting myself get into these situations.
The girl with the chestnut hair came back and of course with her two friends.
"Do you like it here, Thomas? Because you belong to me and my girls now."
She started to laugh evilly. The two girls joined in.
"My names Emily and the two idiots behind me are Jackie and Kiki."
Emily's walkie-talkie started to beep.
"Emily! Have you seen Thomas anywhere? He isnt in his room. You and your girls were the last in the dinning hall."
"Shit!" She said under her breath. She held her walkie-talkie and pressed the speaker button with her thumb.
"Yes he's he with me, sir!"
"What! Why is he with you?"
"I was going to tell you but he had asked me to show him around the base a bit more."
"Alright just tell him to get to his room now!"
Emily put her walkie-talkie in her pocket.
"Untie him and remove the tape. He needs to get back." She gritted through her teeth. Sighing and walked away. The two girls did what they were told. They pushed me out the room and shut the door. Sighing I headed to my room.
It took me a while but I found my room.

I walked in my room. There was a stuffed bear sitting on my bed. The edges of it were burnt. It's hair was styled similar to mine, spiked up. There was string sewed on its head to be its eye. Tommee bear! I can't believe it's here. I closed my door and jumped onto my bed. Holding Tomme bear close to my chest. After awhile I took off my boots. I didn't bother changing. I rested back on the bed. Holding Tomme bear.

"I've missed you." I whispered to myself. Soon enough, my eyelids started closing and everything went black.
I walked down the hallway of failed experiments.

And Thomas's room 742.
I put my hand on the door knob. Opening the door. Just a small crack. I peered through. Thomas was asleep. He was hugging that bear. I swear he had that since he was five! He sorta looked cute.... wait! No not cute! NOT CUTE! he's my mortal enemy...?
I closed his door, shaking the thought out my head. Walking down the hall and into the elevator. I clicked a button to the floor where my bedroom is.
Waiting...
Ding!
The metal doors of the elevator opened. I walked out, hands behind my back and headed for my room. I put my hand on the scanner.
Access Granted!
I walked into my room, closing the door behind me. I took off my blue coat, pants and boots. I left my hoodie on and my boxers. I crawled onto the bed. Wrapping my warm blankets around myself. I looked at the red ceiling. It's covered with glow in the dark star stickers. I don't get to see the stars often, so I decided to put glow in the dark star stickers on my ceiling. I started to think about Thomas.
How would he react when I tell him?
What would he do?
Would he get mad at me?
Would he try kill me?
Soon enough I drifted off to sleep.
I looked over to my alarm clock. 4:28 am. I woke up earlier then I usually do. Sighing I got up and changed into my uniform. Opening the door I put my walkie-talkie in my pocket.
Beep
I was still holding my walkie-talkie when it started to beep.
"Tord we need to start the rookies training early and it has to go on for longer. We have a war coming up soon."

Sighing I pressed the speaker button with my thumb.
"Wake up all the rookies and tell them to get there asses to the training field at 5:15 am."
"Yes Tord."
I put my walkie-talkie in my pocket. I headed for the training fields.
Everyone is lined up and ready to go.
'I can't wait for this' I thought to myself.
"Okay everyone! When I call out your name say here."
"Blaire?"
"Here"
"Jacob?"
"Here!"
"Bailee?"
"Here sir!"
"Thomas?"
"Thomas?"
"Here! Sorry I'm late Tord."
Tom had ran in. This uniform he wore some baggy pants with the usual boots. His pale blue shirt was done up but it's collar was a tad messy. Everyone looked at him weirdly. He poked his head out and looked over to everyone else.
"What?"
I walked forward to Thomas and whispered.
"No one calls me Tord. Only Red Leader or sir."
His eyes widen.
"Oh um sorry sir."
"It's alright Thomas. This is your first warning."
After I finished the roll call we begin!
"Okay everyone today we will be doing
hand-to-hand combat. Everyone find a partner."
Soon enough everyone had paired up. Except for Tom. Seem like no one else was available. I walked over to him.
"Guess your with me Tom."
I saw a smirk appear on his face.
"I'm going to beat your sorry ass."
Heh just like old times.
I put one foot back. My fists in front of my chest area. Tom did the same. I threw some punches but Tom managed to dodge them. He kicked me in the gut. I put my arms around the stomach to where Tom had kicked me. I quickly recover and defend myself as Tom tried round house kicking me. I grabbed his ankle. I turned around. Making him loose his balance and fall to the ground. He quickly got up and ran towards me. I got ready to defend myself. But not ready for this.
He jumps over me, pushing me head forward. He lands and kicks the back of my leg. I stumble to the floor.
'I'm not giving up now!' I mentally screamed in my head.
I quickly got up to my feet and turn towards Tom. Who then kicked my stomach. I held my stomach again. To only realise he hit harder this time. Causing me more pain. I stumbled back and looked down.
"Faen..." I mumbled. I look up to see Toms eyes slightly glowing purple. I'm not completely sure about it. I only saw a glimpse of it before receiving a punch to my face. I felt two hands grib my own. Throwing me up and being kicked to the wall of the base.
A rookie named Jacob ran over to my side. He helped me stand on my feet. I put an arm around his shoulders. Also putting my free hand on my head. I look up over to Tom.
His human arm turns into a dark shade of purple from his elbows. He has horns sticking out near the edge of his hairline. And finally a dark purple tail swinging along the ground behind him.
He looked up from staring at his claws. He had a scared looked on his face. So I wasn't imagining his eyes glowing purple.
"Tom! Go back to your room! That's an order!" He nodded and started running. He was a lot faster then usual.
"Uhh R- Red Leaderrr... sir! Are you.. alright?"
I didn't bother answering them. I was thinking how Tom would react when I tell him about this situation. But at least my serum worked!

Superior Era
How would you react if you found yourself unable to sleep? Not just for one day, or two days, or even three days, but a more permanent time span, like the rest of your life? That’s exactly the predicament Dario finds himself in and he’s thoroughly vexed by it. After all, what sort of sane person would want to miss out on sleep? A madman, that's who. This is a tale of superpowered/superhero-like individuals set in a dangerous fantasy world with hints of GameLit elements. The Mortal Acts
The Mortal Acts is an epic progression fantasy with a lower focus on training aspects and a great focus on discovering new ways of using powers intelligently. I've always been drawn to stories where characters use their powers creatively to overcome opponents and obstacles, and I think all the possibilities can provide a great playground for twists and turns. It's inspired by a variety of media, including Will Wight's Cradle, Hunter x Hunter, and Bioshock, so if you like the creative power use elements from those, come check it out. This is my first serial, and please feel free to leave comments and feedback. For backstory, behind-the-scenes, and other fun stuff, come chat on my discord! Become a patron to read up to 20 chapters ahead here! Blurb: Riven Morell cuts short his regular life at school and home when his mother falls terminally ill. Desperate to find a cure, he travels to Severance Frontier, a desolate land haunted by hordes of ghosts, witches, and demons collectively called the Deathless. But a miraculous cure doesn’t magically fall into his hands. Things are worse in Severance Frontier than Riven had assumed. Ghosts are banding together into armies, demons are kidnapping anyone who strays out of settlements, and witches are enslaving everyone left and right. Riven, of course, gets embroiled in the mess. Missions to curb the Deathless activity are one thing, but when it starts to look like this is just the beginning of a war that extends beyond the mortal realm, Riven has a hard time focusing on why he came to Severance Frontier in the first place. His mother is inching towards death with every passing day, but if he doesn’t face down the Deathless, what little civilization the Frontier holds will be overrun and destroyed. Thankfully, it looked like the Deathless might just hold the secret of the elusive cure.
