Charlie examined the strange glowing book she found. She had no idea why it was glowing. She quickly set it down and the light slowly dimmed. She picked it back up and it started to glow again, again she set it back down and it stopped. It was so weird. It didn't really seem like it was electronic or something. She had never seen a glowing book before. Suddenly, the phone downstairs started to ring. She took the book downstairs with her, and answered her grandfathers phone and put it on speaker.

"Hello." She said.

"Charlie?! Why are you at your grandfathers house?" Her mother said from the other side.

"Um, I just came to visit, I'm coming home now. Bye." She hung up the phone and ran outside. She put the glowing book in her little basket and rode her bike to her house. She jumped off her bike and into her bedroom window, which was on the first floor. She tucked the book under her pillows. Unfortunately the book didn't stop glowing like it had before. So she had to cover it with blankets, more pillows and even stuffed animals, so that no one would see it's glow. She walked out of her room and into her kitchen where she found her uncle Matthew and her mother Elizabeth.

Elizabeth looked exactly like her late mother Bree. She had dark blonde hair and blue eyes. She always wore dresses and heels, and a little round locket with a picture of Charlie and herself inside. On the other hand, Matthew looked like a complete copy of Conner. He had strawberry blonde hair he always kept up thanks to a lot of hair gel (which meant whenever you passed him, he always smelled of hair product), he also had blue eyes, and was always very serious (unlike his father). Even though the two looked extremely identical to their parents they both inherited their mother's personality.

"So you will take him Wednesday? Thank you, and you'll take good care of him right? Great, see you Wednesday." Matthew said on the phone and hung up.

"Take who Wednesday?" Charlie said, like she already didn't know.

"Yeah take who?" Elizabeth and Matthews younger sister Carrie said walking in through the back door. Her three boys Brighton, Sammy and Levi followed her. Carrie had long strawberry blonde hair like her brother and the same bright blue eyes as her siblings. She was the funny one of the three. She obviously had inherited her fathers sense of humor, but she was also very street smart like her mother.

Elizabeth and Matthew stayed silent. Elizabeth gestured for Charlie to sit next to her at their breakfast table. Matthew went into the living room and got his twins Ayden and Grayson and had them sit down as well. Brighton, Sammy and Levi sat next to their cousins. Carrie crossed her arms and leaned on the kitchen counter tops.

"Guys, before you say anything we're doing this out of the kindness of our hearts. Your grandfather has begun to lose his memory, and we have made arrangements for him to live at Sunset Crest. An assisted living community." Elizabeth explained.

"What?!" Carrie said surprised.

"Why Dad?" Ayden asked. "Is this because Grandpa told us magic was real?"

"Yes, and no. Listen, we love your grandfather more than anything." Matthew started.

"If you did you would have talked to me first. Mom always said we were supposed to stick together, she would never want Dad there. You know that!" Carrie said and walked closer to her siblings.

"Mom, please don't send him there." Charlie said.

"I'm sorry Charlie, it's already been arranged. We think this is the best thing to do." Elizabeth said.

"Kids, please go in the living room. I need to talk to your parents." Carrie said. The kids all walked out, knowing the conversation was going to get ugly.

"Listen, I know things have been difficult lately Elizabeth, but is sending Dad to an assisted living community really the right thing?" Carrie said.

"Yes, he's giving our kids false hope. He's been telling the kids magic is real, and that happily ever after exists." Elizabeth said.

"What if I said I believed him. What if I said I believe in magic, and that his stories are true. Would you send me to a mental hospital?" Carrie said. "Its great that our Dad is telling our kids these stories. Just like he did with us when we were their age. Some kids don't have grandfathers that tell these amazing stories. They have one, and your sending him away. What is wrong with you?!" Carrie yelled.

Elizabeth and Matthew rolled their eyes. Even though their sister had a point, they weren't going to change their minds. Carrie was like an older version of Charlie. She loved her father, and tells her children the stories he told her when she was their age every night. She felt terrible for Ayden and Grayson that they didn't get the amazing stories she reads to her children every night. She wasn't as worried about Charlie, because she was really attached to her father. More attached than any of the children.

"Carrie, it's already been decided. They're taking him Wednesday and that's final." Matthew said.

"Do you remember what mom said before she died in the hospital? Oh yeah, you weren't there. Because your job, and your divorce was more important. She said, to take care of dad. No matter how much he forgets, to keep him in that house, and to stay next to him." Carrie cried and left the kitchen and into the living room to comfort the children.

"Are they really going through with it?" Grayson asked.

"Yes, I'm afraid so." Carrie said wiping a tear away and sat next to her youngest son Levi.

"Mom, isn't this good for grandpa though. He's going to get the help he needs." Her thirteen year old Brighton said.

"Brighton, even though your grandfather is having trouble, it's our job as a family to help him through it. Your aunt and uncle just don't want to take the extra steps." Carrie said to her son. "I'll try and call the assisted living community tonight to see what I can do."

"Thank you aunt Carrie." Ayden said.

"Aunt Carrie...do you believe in magic?" Charlie asked.

"Of course I do Charlie." Carrie said and smiled. "Grandma did as well. So I don't know how those two in there don't believe. They were surrounded by the belief their entire lives."

"What happened mom?" Sammy her middle child asked.

"Life happened. Their life drama got in the way of magic. Their jobs, divorce. It all happened, and that's when their belief ended. But luckily I still believe."

"Did grandpa ever read a Fairytale book when you three were younger?" Charlie asked.

"Yes he did, and I will never forget it. It was called The Land Of Stories. It was a book he inherited from his grandmother." Carrie said. "So Fairytales have been in our family for generations, and I'm glad to be the next to share them. Guys whatever your parents say, never stop believing. Promise?"

"Promise." They all said and smiled.

That night after everyone went home, and It was time for Charlie to go to sleep, she went into her room to check on the book. She grabbed it from underneath the pile of blankets, toys, and pillows. To her surprise it had stopped glowing. She looked at the title again, and she noticed that it was the same book that her grandfather had read to her aunt, uncle and mother.

She yawned..."I'll read it tomorrow." She said to herself. She put it away safely into her closet, she got her Pjs on, and went to sleep.

Inside Charlie's dream that night, she saw herself walking in a meadow full of flowers. She saw in the distance an old women about her grandfathers age. She wore a blue dress, and a silver flower headband. She turned around and she saw the women's face. It was her Aunt Alex.

"Aunt Alex? Is that you?" Charlie asked.

"Yes, Charlie." Alex said walking up to her.

"Where am I?"

"Your in the Fairytale world." Alex said.

"So the Fairytale world does exist!" Charlie exclaimed.

"Yes, it does Charlie." A familiar voice said from behind her. She turned around and saw her grandmother and grandfather.

"Grandma!" Charlie said and ran up and gave her a hug. "I thought you were gone."

"I am Charlie. But here in your dreams, I'm still here." Bree said squeezing her granddaughter tightly. "I missed you so much!"

"I miss you too." Charlie then gave her grandfather a huge hug.

"Wait you aren't dead right." She asked her grandfather. Conner smiled at her and kneeled down to her level.

"No Charlie, this is your dream. You are dreaming about the people you want to see the most. Thats me, Grandma Bree, and Aunt Alex."

"So why am I dreaming of you guys?" Charlie said. "There must be a reason."

"Something must be troubling you." Bree said. "I remember when you were always sad you came to me and Grandpa."

"So I must be dreaming of Aunt Alex, because she's from here. The Fairytale world."

"That's correct." Alex said.

"So you must be having trouble believing." Conner said. "What's going on Charlie?"

"Well, you know. They're going to send you to an assisted living community."

"Who?" Bree asked.

"My mom, and uncle Matt." Charlie said.

"I told them never to send you to one. So apparently everything we teach them about sticking together went in one ear and out the other." Bree said and rolled her eyes.

"Aunt Carrie still believes. She even remembers the Land of Stories book." Charlie said.

"The Land of Stories book. Wow, that's brings back a lot of old memories." Alex said.

"Yeah it sure does." Conner said and smiled.

"Well at least Carrie believes." Bree said.

"Grandma, if your family didn't believe in magic, how do you believe?"

"Your grandfather, Aunt Alex and my big imagination." Bree said. "When I met your grandfather I knew there was something different, he wasn't like any other guy I had met before. He was different, that's what I loved about him. Also his humor, and his great story telling."

"Charlie, whatever Matt and your mother tell you...keep listening to Aunt Carrie and I. We know what we're talking about." Conner said. Her grandparents soon disappeared into thin air and it was only Alex left.

"What happened to them?" Charlie asked Alex.

"You just be waking up. But there's one thing I have to tell you before you wake up." Alex said and kneeled down

"What is it?"

"Come to the Fairytale World. Something has happened, and I believe you have the power to stop it." Alex said.

"But Aunt Alex how? What do you mean?" Charlie asked.

"Follow the book." Alex said as she slowly disappeared.

Charlie suddenly woke up, she ran over to her closet and grabbed the Land of Stories book. It started to glow again. This was her ticket into the Fairytale World.
