After a prolonged and exhausting talk with my mom and step-dad, I finally feel fully at peace. They seem okay with Finneas and Claudia adopting Hazelee. As much as mom wishes Bronte would get her shit together and be the mother she was 'supposed to be,' I think she's finally accepted that, that is an unlikely play of events. I was partly expecting my mom to have a breakdown over it all, but she seemed to be genuinely okay. I don't have that much to do with her or my stepdad except for the occasional dinner but I still felt I owed them the truth.

Billie's bedroom is one of the most relaxing places to be. It's normally dimly lit with a lamp and a candle or two. She's obsessed with candles and I couldn't help but smile when I glanced over to her nightstand to see a new one burning. It was called 'blue ocean waves,' decorated in beautifully pale watercolour waves.

"What are you thinking about?" Billie asked, peering at me from her position from between my legs, her back pressed against my front.

"Your new candle," I smiled, only making her blush.

"It reminds me of you," she stated, turning to face forward, laying the back of her head on my shoulder as my arms wrapped around her torso.

"I'm nervous," I admit, changing the subject.

"For tomorrow?" She questioned.

"Mhm," I hummed. "What if I suck, and what if the director is mean?"

"I know this director and he's always been kind to me. He listens to my ideas and makes them a reality and as for you sucking, that just won't happen."

As I sat in one of the 'director' chairs, I wasn't even thinking about how uncomfortable the seating was as I watched my beautiful girlfriend shout out her lyrics next to an old-fashioned television. Two different cameras followed her every movement and she looked as though she was having the time of her life.

Her song was coming out tomorrow and today was the shoot of her first music video. Dare I say this type of thing came more naturally to her than it did to me. She knew exactly what she wanted and she did it.

When there was a pause in filming I held my phone out to snap a quick picture just as Rory was making her laugh hysterically at some joke she made. I however was not listening, too wrapped up in watching her movements as she laughed adorably.

It was a moderately simple set but she rocked it and I knew that this music video was going to be great. There was now a five-minute break and Carter ran up to me with open arms, mumbling an "I can't believe this is happening."

"You deserve it, baby," I said back, pulling away just to swipe a piece of hair behind her ear, "and you're doing amazing," I added.

"Thank you," she softly smiled, placing a quick peck on my lips.

"I'm taking you out after this, okay?"

"Where to?" She asked, fluttering her eyelashes playfully.

"It's a secret. Go finish up, and have fun," I kissed her once more and continued to watch her, making small comments to Rory and Dion who sat beside me. They to were convinced that this was her element and she should have been doing this all along.

Opening up the passenger side door, I held my hand out, Carter taking it as I led her out of the car. "What exactly are we doing at The Factory Kitchen at eleven pm?" Carter questioned with a chuckle.

"Well, I pulled some strings and the place is empty so we can enjoy a late dinner together," I cheesed.

"Aw," she pouted, her bottom lip jutting out. I quickly kissed her pouty lips, pulling away to see it replaced with a smile.

I opened up the doors, a waitress waiting for us. Carter looked around with wide eyes as there were twinkly lights strung up and candles lit on every table. "Welcome here girls," the waitress said.

"Thanks," I smiled Carter's smile was equally as wide. The waitress led us to our table, giving us each a menu before walking away to give us some time to choose our meals.

"I haven't been here since I was like ten," Carter exclaimed, her eyes scanning the menu.

"Well, it's about time you come back!"

"There are too many things to choose from, I'll just have whatever you're having," she closed her menu, setting it at the edge of the table along with mine.

"You sure? My shit is vegan and gluten-free," I scrunched up my eyebrows.

"I'm sure," she shrugged with a smile. It seemed like today was filled with smiles.

After the waitress took our orders, I reached my hands over the table, lacing our fingers together. "Okay so, before we eat I have sort of a serious question," I started nervously.

"Okay?" She questioned, urging me to continue.

"Do you want to go public? Everyone knows we are friends and we can just keep it that way if you want. Because I'm totally okay with that but I also wouldn't mind showing you off but also-"

"Billie, stop rambling," she chuckled, squeezing my hands. "I would love to be able to tell everyone that you're my girlfriend-I, that came out wrong. Not because you're famous and..." she trailed off, a blush stretching across her cheeks.

"I know what you mean," I giggled, "I want to be able to tell everyone that you're my girlfriend too."

"Okay," she nodded, letting out a breath of relief.

Once our food came we joked around, eating like pigs. Enjoying the entire restaurant to ourselves; we probably would have been kicked out by now if there were other people here. It was nice not having to worry about paparazzi or fans. As much as I love the fans, it's nice to feel like a normal human being every once in a while. I snapped a few pictures of her as she did the same to me.

Once our bellies were both full and I felt like I could fall into a food coma I decided to pull out the envelope I had been waiting to give her. I placed it in front of her without a word and she eyed it with suspicion. "What's that?"

"Open it," I smiled.

She gave me a questioning look before picking it up, carefully tearing it open. Her eyes trailed the writing and her mouth fell open when she understood. "Really?" Carter gasped.

"Yes," I nodded excitedly.

"You're the best and I don't deserve you," she pouted, jumping up from her chair and sitting sideways on my lap to wrap her hands around the back of my neck.

"Hey, none of that. You deserve everything!"
