Walking outside, I open up the passenger side door of Zoe's car with a smile on my face, that is until I see Drew is already sitting there which instead turns my face to a glare.
"Beat you," Drew teases while playfully sticking out her tongue at me. I roll my eyes again, close the door and climb in the back seat.
"Ready to party?" Zoe asks, starting to speed down the road.
"I'm 'bouta get so drunk" Drew exclaims.
"Really?" I scoff.
"Hey, I don't drink that much but tonight I'm letting loose," Drew defends herself.
"Okay, but please don't throw up on me like you did last time," I say seriously, my eyes drifting to the buildings passing by.
"No promises," she jokes with a chuckle.
The three of us dance like absolute psychos while Zoe drives us to this party that's presumed to be 'the party of the year'. Don't get me wrong, I love parties and all, but being intoxicated just doesn't interest me. The thought of not remembering anything I did scares the hell outta me. I've also seen what drugs and alcohol can do to people and I'm just not about that life. Disagree with me, I don't care.
We pull up to a literal mansion, and I instantly get a little overwhelmed. Sure I've been in mansions before but something about parties makes my nerves rise although I know that when I get into it I'll probably enjoy it.
We walk inside and I'm instantly hit with the aroma of booze and weed. The house is cloudy, lit with colourful LED lights, red solo cups, drunk people grinding on each other, and music blaring so loud you can't hear your own thoughts.
The only thing I like is the loud music and the fact that I can let loose and dance with no judgment. And I pride myself on being able to do that without drinking first.
"Come," Drew grabs my hand and drags me to the kitchen. Counters filled with different liquors and cups.
Zoe follows behind us as we walk into the kitchen. I watch as Drew pours herself and Zoe a shot of vodka. She hands Zoe one glass and they cheers before chugging it down. Drew pours herself another and another.

"Okay slow down," I practically have to yell over the music at Drew.
"Do whatever you want, but I'm getting hammered" she shouts while snatching a can of Mikes's Hard Lemonade.
I just shake my head and grin at her, knowing I can't do anything about it.
"Zoe, come dance," I shout excitedly and grab her hand, leading her to the crowd of people in the middle of the large living room.
We start dancing and I get so lost in the music, I don't know how long it's been before Zoe pulls out her phone and says she's getting another drink.
I leave the crowd of dancing bodies, realizing I'm completely sweaty. I wander up the stairs and find an empty bathroom, locking the door behind me. I splash some cold water on my face and fix up my hair a little before walking back out, finding a door to go outside. A few people are smoking but as I keep walking I find an outdoor lounge area that no one has discovered yet. I take a seat in one of the outdoor beds and pull out my phone.

"Okay, so you're good then?" I double-check with Sophia as I grab my bag and sling it over my shoulder.
"Yup, should be pretty easy," she chuckles, laying down on the couch and grabbing the tv remote.
"Again, thank you so much. I know this was short notice."
"Anytime Carter. Have fun," she smiles back.
I nod my head before running down the hall and the steps, hopping into my car and speeding down the bustling streets of LA. I need this night more than anyone knows.

Only a few moments pass and I hear someone approaching. I look up and my heart practically ceases when I see...Carter. My cheeks instantly grow warm as butterflies swarm my stomach. She's even hotter in person. Then I remember she has no idea she's been talking to me.
"Shit! I mean hi," Cater says. Clearly a little in shock of seeing me but plays it cool.
"Hi," I say with a smile. Probably trying to keep calm just as much as she is.
She plops down on one of the chairs in front of me and puts her legs up on the bed I'm sitting on. Something about her is a little intimidating but maybe that's just because I'm confused as to why she's giving me this feeling. People don't normally intimidate me.

"Not your scene?" She questions while brushing her fingers through her hair.
"I don't know, it's fine I just needed fresh air" I shrug, my eyes wandering anywhere but into hers.
"Hmm," she nods.
"You?" I wonder, just wishing to know what this girl is really all about.
"I like parties but I'm DD tonight," she rolls her eyes.
"Ah," I nod in understanding.
"So who are you?" I ask timidly.
"Oh god, I'm sorry. I'm Carter," she rushes out.
"Well it's great to meet you, I'm Billie."
"We been knew."
"Jus' tryna be nice, chill" I joke, yet roll my eyes.
"Just kidding, I actually don't know that much about you," she smirks. Then her face switches to a shocked look "actually I just remembered you followed me yesterday?" She questions, her eyes narrowing.
I can feel my entire face heat up and I'll admit I have no idea what to say next.
"I-uh-yeah..." I stutter out lamely.
I stare down at my lap, completely embarrassed. Which, trust me, doesn't happen a lot.
I look up at her and she's just sitting there grinning at me.
"What?" I ask defensively.
"So like-you're Hannah?" She tilts her head with a raised brow.
"What?" I blurt out in shock, eyes widening.
She leans forward, placing her chin on her hand, suddenly I realize the sheer volume of tattoos she has. "Look, I'm not stupid. An account messages me with no picture, then calls me with a blocked number, she has a very distinct voice, I give her my insta and she follows me. It's not hard to put that together," she shrugs with a smug look on her face.
I lean back and laugh, "yeah, I wasn't smooth,"
"No not really," she giggles.
"Why are you Hannah anyways?" She asks, leaning back in her chair.
"I was making fun of people's bios but then I saw you," I shrug.
"And?"
"And you're hot," I mutter.
"True," she grins looking straight into my eyes.
"Don't flatter yourself," I roll an eye, but honestly I lowkey want her to rail me immediately.
She lets out an amused laugh and pulls out a cigarette, placing it between her lips and lighting it up. "Who are you anyway?" I ask.
"Literally a nobody," she mutters, exhaling the smoke.
She holds the cig out to me and I shake my head lightly.
"Suit yourself."
"Okay well, I'm going to go find my friends," I announce while standing up and stretching my arms.
"What, I'm not exciting enough for you?" She exasperates.
"Nah. You may be hot but you're pretty boring," I wink.
"Damn," she gestures a hand over her heart exaggeratedly.
"Billie Eilish may be famous but she's pretty mean," Carter smirks.
I roll my eyes and stare at her for just a second longer. "So mean," I chuckle, turning around and walking away to go find Zoe and Drew.
When I finally spot them, Zoe is pretty buzzed and Drew is absolutely shitfaced so I pack them both into Zoe's car and bring them to my place for the rest of the night.

"Nooooo" Drew mumbles as I try to wake her up.
"Bitch I gotta go to Finns, and Zoe already went home," I say still attempting to get Drew out of bed.
"Fine," she sighs, slowly sitting up.
Once I eventually get her home I head to Finneas and Claudia's house.
"Hey" I smile, walking inside.
"Hey, Bil" Claudia smiles. "Finneas is already downstairs" she informs me.
"What are you making?" I ask, watching her pull out something from the oven.
"This vegan cookie recipe I found online," she says excitedly, placing the pan on top of the oven.
I go to reach for one of them but Claudia slaps my hand lightly.
"Not until later," she says sternly.
I scoff and she gives me a playful glare. "Whatever, I'm going down now," I say while strolling down the stairs.
"Have fun," she says in a sing-song voice.
