(Well, now we'll be hitting the conclusion to what happens in the story. If some of you possessed the perceptive soul trait like (Y/n), then you might of noticed all of the small hinting that I have been doing up until this moment ;) But if not, there is no harm in reading to find out! Also, this chapter was almost 4000 words, so I am sorry for any errors. Enjoy!~)

---Frisk's Pov---

After I instructed one of my men to kill Papyrus, that is right when the real hell started. Once I got a good look at the tall skeleton who I remembered to be very bubbly in nature, the reality of who he was came crashing down.

I didn't know what my curiosity would bring me, but I definitely wasn't expecting this. We both stared at each other for awhile, I was able to take in his crooked and bloody teeth... and those sunken in eye sockets that remined me of an endless darkness. Papyrus looked terrifying, like a true monster.

Shakily looking down at my hands towards the communication device that I was holding, I had a hard time coming to terms with my actions. Previously, I wasn't too bothered by anything that I did since I could just Reset everything back to normal. But right now, that was still impossible for me. If I could take everything back... would I?

Chara was right... they didn't say it in the nicest way, but ending all of this pointless suffering did seem like the logical choice.

Suddenly, shouting for help could be heard from the man that I sent after Papyrus. He sprinted out of the foliage with something chasing after him. Relentlessly, a gaster-blaster came into view. I knew that It belonged to Sans, but I still couldn't believe how corrupted the magic looked with its vicious red glow.

Without a second thought, the blaster snapped its jaw around his body, dragging him back into the woods before he could make an escape. And right after that event, everything started to go downhill.

I lost another member of my group to a bear trap, it sprung around his entire body with its sheer size. We tried to free him from it for about forty minutes, but by then... his internal bleeding and punctured organs took his life.

When I thought that now would be a good time to relax, an unlikely face came into view. With how much this place had changed, I didn't expect to see our initial target... still alive and well. In one hand, (Y/n) was playing with a round object that I immediately knew to contain the stolen high grade fuel. "Hmm... I was taking a stroll through the forest, a casual one in all honesty."

Her voice was calm and didn't betray her in the slightest as she stared at us with cold (E/c) eyes.

Now that was strange, I mean? Chara... a bit nervous? Regardless, she still had that fuel that I needed to obtain. Killing the Monsters was on my list of things to do, but that item in her hand was also my ticket to a comfortable life after this. Not taking the precautions that were necessary, I quickly instructed two of my men to move in on her. The distance between us wasn't too large, but it was enough for them to have to sprint. "But instead, I find some less than intelligent Humans trying to approach me. If you would like some advice, then all I can give you is this."

Shouting could be heard from the two as they suddenly stopped moving. A thin blanket of snow layered something quite unusual that I have never seen before... didn't this use to be a massive puzzle that was hidden in the ice?!

Without any warning, they started to sink as if there were quicksand under them. With all of their struggling, I could make out the color of the snow that should of been white- but instead, it was blue. "Think of blue snow as a stop sign. If you see it, then you stop."

It was almost like she was mimicking someone else's words, but I wasn't too sure. All I knew was that now I had more than one problem... With Sans lurking around and her now standing in my path like this, things didn't look too good. But they probably can't get worse either... right?

Shaking my head, I watched as (Y/n) walked off into the woods. She seemed to act bored almost, which really made me feel pissed off. Why the hell was she acting so damn confidant? Almost like she wasn't really alone... but with how things looked, she was probably up against just as many threats as we were.

She was probably just acting cocky because of our group size... there were only three of us left. One died to Sans, another in a trap... and then two of them in this strange patch of blue snow. Maybe I should of kept Paps alive long enough to have him explain some of these puzzles- no... traps.

Puzzles were usually pretty Human friendly, but these were put here to kill. And I always did wonder about that frozen puzzle... about what was meant to be under it.

Walking around the edges of the blue snow with the remaining two that followed behind me... we soon came up upon the forest where she vanished. I made sure to scan the area for anymore traps which we carefully avoided by taking things slower.

Everything about the Underground seemed wrong, and I felt myself almost longing for the laughter of my old friends... life on the surface once I left wasn't easy, and not being able to Reset only made it that much harder. Not to mention how I trained my group to deal with the loving Monsters of this place- but not this.

It felt like we weren't walking too long, actually it seems that we took a short cut to the bridge that would connect us to Snowdin. Watching with squinted eyes as I caught (Y/n) crossing the bridge, we all immediately fell into a sprint to follow. She disappeared up ahead and out of our view once I managed to get across with one of my guys.

The last one was a bit slower since he slipped on ice, and I thought that he'd be perfectly fine... That is if it wasn't for Sans appearing behind us with his axe raised on the rope. Before I could turn around to warn him, it was already too late. Sans had brought his weapon down upon the strings that held the bridge together... only for it to fall with the man still on it.

His screams echoed through the abyss as he fell, only to hit the ground a long ways down and die. Sans was smirking sadistically as he tilted his head so that I could catch a glimpse of that crazed expression. His single crimson eye was staring into the depths of my Soul, no longer judging me... but taunting me for what I did.

My last surviving ally raised his gun since I failed to do it with my shaking hands... but before he could attack, Sans was already gone. Were we the unlucky ones to encounter him, or was (Y/n) just too lucky?

I had to agree, something was very fucking wrong here. Trying to follow (Y/n)'s path, I made sure to constantly look over my shoulder. If she was in front, and Sans was in the back... I didn't want to get cornered. This is going to be much harder to survive through than I could of possible imagined. I need a damned Reset so that I can do it right next time! Ugh!

---(Y/n)'s Pov---

After Sans made this a fair two on two, he appeared right next to me with a deep chuckle. It didn't take long for him to pull me against his ribcage and then teleport me into the Core. His bones didn't feel cold, and instead were surprisingly warm. "Ya did well, cupcake. I think that we really cut them down to size."

He twisted his axe around while giving me a wink to demonstrate his use of a pun. It was bad, but I couldn't help myself when I smirked. Now this would become a waiting game... since Sans got me here long before their arrival, I decided to continue the repairs on the Core. Securing the device was a top priority to me, just in case something did happen to it.

My mate on the other hand, he decided to keep watch with his full on protection mode. He didn't want to risk losing me to something that neither of us were prepared for, even if my trait happens to be perception.

Working at the center of the Core, I was thankfully done after two hours of the excruciating heat against my skin. From my discomfort, Sans tried to pull me out of the pit constantly... of course I denied him with a sharp glare, which would cause him to raise his hands defensively.

If I wasn't trying to finish this as quickly as possible, he wouldn't of cared for the looks that I was giving him. He'd probably find them very adorable.

Climbing out of the Core with a huff of exhaustion, Sans was quick to help me up and lead me into the depths of the True Lab. The Amalgamates cleared the way for us as Sans sat me down in a chair that was in front of Gaster's main computer. I put in the code to unlock everything, and then got to work.

The first thing that I did was switch around the code to disable the Reset feature on all save points. Everything was connected to the energy of the Core, so this was an easier task, It didn't seem like I could just remove them, since their ability to Save seemed like a function that applied in real life. It represented memories that shouldn't be touched. Moments that were accessible by all those who were... determined... enough...

to save them.

Huh....

Before I could turn around in my chair to ask Sans something, I heard the elevator coming down into the True Lab. I had its permissions unlocked since Sans kept on asking for the code... I was rather certain that he was only doing so for some kind of attention, but I couldn't prove it. "Seems like they have arrived."

He nodded while backing away into the room to hide himself. We were both somewhat concerned of Frisk dying, which would in turn cause a Reset to their last save point that was being subconsciously made. "I'll try to do something less destructive about this situation. I think... that I have pieced together an idea."

I could tell that Sans wanted to ask me about it, but the footsteps that were leading into our direction cut him off. Instead, he settled for grabbing my arm in a firm grip before I could exit the room. "Hey. Be careful, (Y/n)."

Deciding to catch him off guard, I leaned in quickly to place a kiss against his teeth... Sans froze from it, only to release his hold from me in the process. Immediately, I was certain of his desire to take the affection further... but I was already out of the room.

As I walked further down the hall, my steps were quiet while the two up ahead were clicking against the floor. It didn't take long for me to find Frisk, looking through every room with their last remaining partner. "Hello, Frisk."

Immediately, Frisk turned around with a gun in hand and pointed it in my direction. Their friend did the same, holding the weapon up high to threaten me. "What the hell... you never put yourself in a situation like this! I saw your damned records!"

"Relax, Frisk. I am simply here to speak. Nothing more." I mused with a small smirk.

"Ah, are you gonna warn us about another trap around here? Some friendly advice maybe?!" They sneered, clearly upset by my previous antics.

"Well, if you are looking for some kind of warning... then perhaps I do have one to give." I said while crossing my arms nonchalantly. They started at me, urging for me to continue while their fingers rested on the trigger of their weapons. "Pointing those weapons at me... will upset more than just myself."

The unnerving silence that came from my words made me feel more relaxed. Frisk and their companion lowered their guns against me slightly, which I took as permission to continue speaking. "You know Frisk, I broke absolutely no rules to come here. I did everything right, absolutely no Resetting. I do not need that power to move forward, unlike you. It seems as though you are always moving back."

They shook from my words, feeling as though they were being judged for the sins that crawled on their back. "You think Resetting is wrong? Ha... this is a world where rules... are meant to be broken."

Wait a moment... this situation sounded terrifyingly familiar to something. "Unfortunately, this world's reality is still shown in those echo flowers. All of these Monsters are hoping for something different, something better. Something that MY Reset could do for them."

Frisk shrugged their shoulders, and in the distance... I could see that pesky Amalgamate staring at me with its contorted smile. Memory Head. "Who knows? Maybe you can give them a better future, I mean, with Sans' determination, he survived. But I think that everything was much better in the past."

.......Sans is determined.

...............

They are right. The past is much more effective, in fact-

"So then, you're saying that if given the opportunity to go back... that you would try and provide a happy ending? To give all of these Monsters a second chance?" I suddenly asked. The words echoed in the back of my head, words that Gaster himself said to me. He was begging me to sacrifice myself for this moment.

That scientist truly did have his own agenda... using my anger, fueling my abilities... and turning me into someone that could understand right from wrong... he did all of this in an effort for me to sacrifice being happy so that they could all survive. Knowing that I could be sent back into my hell where I would relieve the death of my family.

"Wait... that isn't even possible! I can't even fucking Reset!" They snapped at me. In an instant, they raised their weapon along with their friend to shoot at me, but before the shots could fire... two sharp bones knocked the weapons out of their hands. "S-shit!"

Slowly, Sans walked up behind me... he had a blaster summoned behind him and appeared as though he were aiming in my direction. Frisk was smiling sadistically, thinking that they've won in some way. Until... the blast struck down their last remaining ally. They screamed in pain as their body became charred by the vicious red blast.

Frisk's expression faltered into a look of horror as Sans stopped to wrap his arms around my chest. "I wasn't finished yet, Sans."

"I know." He said in a low voice. I was going to glare at him, but I instead offered a sigh. "But I didn't like how he was lookin' at ya."

"Listen Frisk." I suddenly said while trying to ignore the heavy breath that Sans was puffing out against my skin. It was chilling and made me want to shiver, but I stood my ground. "Using the Core's repairs, we will make one final Reset. Unfortunately, you easily become possessed with how exposed your Soul becomes from that initial power. So you wont be the one to do it. I want to insure a perfect ending for everyone."

"Wait a sec, cupcake... mind elaborating a little bit more?" Sans asked. He seemed very confused, and so was Frisk. So instead, I moved to pull away from Sans so that I could better explain everything... even if what I said made him uneasy.

"Alright Sans. From what I have gathered, you have enough determination to subconsciously establish Save Points, such also allows you to remember events from other timelines. To avoid Frisk becoming corrupted, we will preform the Reset. I will adjust everything with the Core to prevent any Reset from happening after we do this, so you will not be plagued by a constant loop. Using my Soul, you will gain the determination that you need in order to actually access the option to Reset." Once I said this, both Sans and Frisk gave me a look.

"So you want me to kill ya?" He concluded with a harsh growl. I nodded to him, but didn't dare to look him in the eye. Frisk on the other hand was deep in thought at the option that I had given, but they soon nodded.

"Actually, that works for me. I want to be with everyone again. Life on the surface has been hell without the Monsters. I can't Reset anymore after this anyway, so we might as well fix it all. If something were to go down, Sans could just kill me and take my Soul. So I can't really betray you guys." Frisk concluded. I nodded briefly and turned to Sans who still seemed to be unsure.

"Sans, you can remember the Resets. We'd be going fairly far back, so it might take awhile to recall everything... ha, that's how I pieced together your determination. I only recalled it when Frisk brought it up, but this way... you can have Papy back. And then you can try to find me if you still wish to be with me... though, I will be quite young." I joked with a small chuckle. Sans didn't seem convinced, but he reluctantly agreed. It did seem like a good deal, one that would return everything back to normal.

"So um... you two are together, huh?" Frisk asked, causing Sans to roughly pull me into his side. "Never would of thought that this would happen."

"Yeah, and I promised something important to her. So we'll be sure ta make it happen again." Sans replied. Remembering the promise that we shared, I only offered a small smile of agreement. We would never break our promises to one another.

After about five minutes of awkward chatting, I left to return into the room. Finalizing some of the details, I saw a strange file on the computer that made me arch a brow out of confusion. It was glitched out, and strangely formatted to be nearly unreadable. Opening it, I started to conduct several repairs with the faltered code, almost feeling driven to fix it with the help of my perception.

And then, once I managed to finish, I was able to read it for what it really said.

"W.D GASTER'S LOST SOUL FRAGMENTS. LOADING. LOADING. LOADING. FILE CORRPUTED." Shifting slightly, I tried to repair everything a bit more until I got a different option. "SAVE YOUR CHANGES?"

Once I clicked yes, a roar from below the lab sounded. Everything within the Underground shook to life as a small hum of electricity invaded our ears. The magical energy flowed viciously into the atmosphere, seemingly repairing its damage within seconds.

"You... did it..." Sans breathed out, amazed. The Core was alive, powering the Underground with magic once again. Getting up, I approached Sans and wrapped my arms around his neck affectionately. I knew that this was going to be hard on him, that he might never forgive himself. "I really don't wanna do this, cupcake."

"You'll see me again. You did promise after all." I whispered into his ear. Frisk was trying to listen intently, but I could tell that they were getting impatient with how we were dragging this out. Instead of hearing something like, 'just kiss her already'... instead, we heard something else.

"Just kill her already, you can fuck her in the next timeline or something." Wow Frisk.

Sans searched my eyes for any indication that I wanted to back out, but once he found nothing... Sans leaned in and pressed his teeth against my lips. I was pulled into a deep kiss before I felt his bones penetrating into my body.

The last thing that I saw before death was him crying, shaking as he reached out to grab my Soul and absorb it. I could tell that his instincts were screaming at him to save me, to not allow his mate to die... and the pain that he probably felt from our deep bond probably scarred him.

But once my Soul allowed me to wake up in the form of a ghost, both of us were met with a loading screen... and a very unlikely face.

Gaster.
