(And here we are at chapter ten! I wanted to update this last night... but my computer decided that it didn't want to turn on. My phone has a French vocabulary, so If I made errors while trying to update this... I would of been devastated. I try to clean up my writing to the best of my abilities, and I would of been freaking out if I tried to use my phone haha. Anyway, enjoy!)

---(Y/n)'s Pov---

There was a loud cracking sound followed by the Monster turning to dust. The skeleton lifted his heavy weapon from the pile of the Monster's remains, never once caring for his actions. He lashed out as if it were second nature. And after gaining more EXP... he laughed.

He didn't stop laughing.

"Sans." I said in an effort to call him out of his laughter. He responded by calming down slightly... "How do we cross?"

I wasted no time in saying 'we'. It was my way of saying that I was once again accepting his help without complaint... because he was clearly too unstable to argue with. "Heheheh... you don't seem too affected by my killer timing."

"Yeah. I just don't care much for grave situations." I replied, using a pun in response to him. It seemed like an awful idea, because Sans put a hand over his head and snorted. His laughter echoed through the area, causing me to cross my arms impatiently. "So... a way across?"

"Heh... a shortcut." He offered me a skeletal hand which I hesitated to take. I didn't sense any harsh intentions... but still. He worried me. "Fine then. I guess that I'll just have to come to you."

Now that was an unexpected response- especially since Sans was generally very distant. He was the type of murderer that wanted his victims to go to him since he was ultimately too lazy to chase them down. Taking a step back towards the pit of lava, he took a step forward... kicking the dust to the side in the process.

Sans made me nervous... because he was often excluded to my perceptive Soul. Looking back towards the pit of lava, the skeleton saw his opening and quickly moved his hand out to grip my wrist. In an instant, I flinched from the contact.

He dragged me towards him, causing me to fall into his chest. My hands instinctively grabbed onto the outline of his ribs which immediately earned a groan from him. Strangely enough, Sans didn't seem to argue with my actions and instead wrapped his arms around my body. Within seconds, he teleported to the opposite side of the bridge... leaving me with a massive headache.

"Sans. Please let go of me." I urged. The skeleton looked hesitant for a split second, but soon decided to remove his arms from my body. Sighing, I brought a single hand up to touch my forehead before wincing.

"Sorry. I forgot that Humans tend to be sensitive to teleportation when they're not use to it." He admitted with a small shrug of his shoulders. All that I could do was roll my eyes before continuing on towards the Lab. The vibrant pools of lava made me feel somewhat nervous, but I knew that I wasn't going to fall into it... it was just intimidating since it reminded me of Gaster's accident.

Continuing on, I tried to hide my emotions from the skeleton that trailed behind me with his hands dug into his pockets. He had this cocky smirk on him that was begging for me to give him some kind of sassy remark or pun... though for some reason, he didn't seem as aggressive. "Well, here we are. The place has been locked down ever since some shit happened a few years ago. I can teleport in, but there are a lot of traps."

"No need." I quickly said. Since I was still somewhat off balance from his method of transportation, I didn't dare to entertain the idea of him getting us inside.

"Yeah, but-"

Before he could say anything else, I was typing away at a keypad. Using some special forms of configuration, I was able to switch the keys into Wingdings to enter in a different code. 'WDGRS'

Or... W.D. Gaster Royal Scientist. This was the code to bypass all forms of security for the original scientist himself.. Within seconds, the door was open and several lights were turned on. I forgot that the True Lab had a unique small generator for this place. It fueled some energy into some of the more important tools, but could only be accessed through the codes that I have. "Whoa..."

Going up to a large computer, I logged into Gaster's account through that simple password and started to shut down all of the traps one by one. Sans could barely keep up with the vast amount of commands that I was giving the computer, but I was surprised to see him making an effort. "You weren't joking. You really do know the codes..."

We paused for a second as the sound of claws hitting the floor caught our attention... but for me, that wasn't all. Even though it appeared faint, I thought that I could hear a slight bang on a metal pipe.

"M-My... Traps..." A suddenly shaky feminine voice said. The tone was obviously panicked as a yellow reptilian creature stormed into the room, but not before hitting a wall. "Th-that v-voice-"

"Fucking spit it out you damned lizard." Sans suddenly snapped, causing Alphys to take a step back with a yelp. My (E/c) eyes narrowed slightly as I took in her appearance. She didn't seem as tattered as the other Monsters, even though she clearly wasn't herself. The blood stained bandage around her eyes happened to be enough evidence to prove this.

"S-Sans?! How did y-you get in h-here?!" She looked around frantically, her senses taking in the small hum of the room. "W-Wait... is the p-power back on?"

"Heh. You dirty traitor." The skeleton mused while taking a step forward. I could hear his heavy step against the tiled floor... and before he could move any further, I took a chance with him. Placing my hand against his shoulder, I gave him a small look of disapproval.

"Alphys. I was hoping to request your assistance. Where are the old blueprints of the Core being kept?" I suddenly inquired. Sans seemed to growl slightly since I was making every effort to hold him back.

"Wh-Who are y-you?! I c-can't just h-hand out blueprints to-" Before she could respond, a sharp bone slashed the side of her face. Sans seemed to act different... he was NOT amused. Now normally, this would probably be due to his claim on her betrayal? Although, the reason for his newfound hostility seemed different.

"If you don't tell her right now... I promise that I'll end your life as slowly as possible. And then, I'll fucking feed you to the god damned dogs." Wow... he was pissed off. What did she do to make him this angry?

"O-Oh... those blueprints? Why d-didn't you just s-say so?" She squeaked out. Alphys shuffled her legs over towards the elevator to the True Lab, she stumbled several times while pointing out one of her clawed fingers towards the door.

I followed her with very little concern. Once I reached the door, I applied the same password which caused the elevator doors to open. "How do you k-know the p-password?!"

"Are you coming, Sans?" I suddenly asked. He shrugged his shoulders before gesturing a single thumb in Alphys' direction.

"Nah, you go on ahead. I'll catch up with ya later, (Y/n)." He said with a small smirk. Something about our interaction made me feel different. As the elevator door closed and started to carry me down to the Lab... I couldn't help but feel content. Sans was using my name.

Even though I felt strangely pleased by this, I was also slightly worried. Since that skeleton was so unpredictable, I really wasn't sure of his intentions. I mean, I knew that he would wait for me to come back... but I somehow started to feel pity for the yellow lizard. There she was, with no defenses... not even her own eyes.

And Sans had a bone to pick with her.

Seeing him deal with the past two threats, I knew that his signature move was to kill on sight. He didn't seem to remember the meaning of mercy.

---Sans' Pov---

She took many steps back once the elevator started to move. She knew that I was staring at her, but didn't know how to approach the situation. Letting out a casual chuckle, I summoned my weapon. "So you were alive all this time-"

Looking around at all of the disabled traps, I couldn't help but snicker. Once I brought my free hand up to scratch at the crack in my skull, I could tell that Alphys started to feel a wave of guilt. She knew that I was currently judging her for her sins- and that her penalty would likely be death.

But... wasn't I forgetting something important?

"Pft. The traps would of worked. If (Y/n) hadn't disabled 'em." That was the second time that I used her name. I won't lie when I say that I like the sound of it...

Tapping my fingers against my skull, my attention soon returned to Alphys who looked like she was deeply in thought. "Wait a s-second... you... LIKE H-HER?!"

The outburst was enough to make me frown... however, I felt confused by her statement. What was that lizard going on about now? "She's a H-Human... right?"

"What's it to you?" I suddenly said, my voice was deep and very threatening which caused her to yelp.

"W-Well... you don't call her 'Human' and you actually use her real name..."

Huh... I never thought of it like that. I mean... I've given a lot of Humans some pretty interesting names. Meat bait, Dinner, Bloody Roast, Pork Chop, and the list goes on for miles. When I think of (Y/n), none of those names come to mind. Actually, I've been tempted to call her some other sweeter nicknames. Especially since I think that her reaction would be hilarious. "She's almost like an asset. But If something happens to her, then I don't really care."

When I said this, Alphys seemed to give me an almost challenging look. Raising my axe above my head, I started to swing the weapon down with the full intention of killing her. Of course, her next words brought me to an immediate halt. "Oh. Then I guess that her death will mean nothing."

"What the hell are you talking about?" I asked. She responded by letting out an amused child-like giggle. Soon enough, her small legs shuffled over to a couch where she sat comfortably. My eye was fixated on her as I readjusted the weight of my axe. "Fucking answer me!"

"B-but you don't c-care about her? R-Right?" She stuttered out while clutching her head. Alphys started to shake uncontrollably before she once again giggled. "The voices, Sans! All of the voices coming from the True Lab!~"

Wait... What...?

"At first, they were whining for their next meal... and then they started to scratch at the pipes! After awhile, their voices called out to me, begging for me to let them out.~" When she spoke, it almost sounded like she was singing a song. The tone of her voice was sickening as my sharpened blade was pinned against her throat. I didn't even want to put my weapon up against her like that, my body just seemed to move out of instinct.

"Make sense, damnit!" Yeah, I was getting pretty upset. Clawing at the hole in my head, I was able to think about another memory. A memory about the things that lurked in the True Lab- the Amalgamates. "Shit."

"You know, S-Sans... those creatures haven't e-eaten in awhile. I w-wonder if your asset will survive."

My magic activated before I could kill off that conniving lizard. I was already inside of the elevator and typing in the same password that I saw (Y/n) write in. In very little time, I was already down in the True Lab. Now all I had to do was find her and teleport out- right?
