(Aha, well I had time today so I decided to give this story an extra update. After this though, I'll be back to work ;P Work that I am just too lazy to do haha. Anyway, enjoy~)

---(Y/n)'s Pov---

"Wow. I don't think that I've ever met a human like you." Flowey admitted as I took a stroll through the snowy woods. The air was crisp, life was nonexistent... yep. A wonderful day to be taking a walk. "You're not even scared? I mean... leaving like that might make them hunt you down."

"Well, they will be hunting me down. " I corrected as I tried to extend my path into a different direction. For the past ten minutes, I have been casually making a number of distinct trails to throw my pursuers off... now I needed a unique approach.

"Hey, so what are you doing? Shouldn't we be running?" The flower asked, causing me to shake my head with a small sigh. That's what they'd be expecting me to do.

"I am throwing them off of our trail. Keeping them busy for awhile." I explained as he gawked at me.

"Wow, human. You really are smar- WATCH OUT!"

I came to a halt directly in front of a strange patch of snow. It took me a moment to realize that I was staring at a bear trap... that would of given me an awful time. "Huh... puzzles I knew about, but violent traps? Thanks, Flowey."

Looking around carefully while pulling up my scarf, I decided to come up with a new idea. They were closing in, and I could feel it... If I somehow lured them here, then I could sprint back and find a way to wait them out. I wouldn't get hungry since I had... food.

"Hey, we should get moving..." Flowey was now whispering, worried that Sans would be nearby. I didn't blame him either, that skeleton managed to put me on edge too. Grabbing some snow as I made several more tracks, I decided to use my grapple to climb up one of the distant icy trees. Since they didn't know that I had this, they wouldn't be expecting it. "Good idea..."

Now here was the real plan. Molding the snow that I grabbed into a snow ball, I took aim at the bear trap that was a good distance away. The point of this? To lure the monsters away from the bridge. "You won't make that shot, just-"

But it was too late, I threw the ball and it easily hit the trap to activate it. Flowey's eye was wide in surprise as I never even showed the slightest amount of accomplishment over my aim. "You must of played a lot of games to do with aiming to land that shot..."

I shushed him to not give our location away. Before climbing this tree, I made sure to cover my footprints to it. The snapping sound of the metal rung through the area, alerting everything to our presence. All I had to do was wait for a few more minutes...

Blinking from some of the snow fall, my eyes reopened to spot Sans kneeling down by the trap. He looked to his left, and then sharply to his right. Just as I suspected, the skeleton never bothered to look up... by now I was smirking.

All this time, he must of been dealing with terrified children... not an experienced killer.

He was lucky that I retired in the murder department... I made a promise with myself to never again stain my hands with the blood of others. I accomplished what I wanted to do, and now I would complete what Gaster wanted from me. In order to do that, I needed to remain invisible to these psychopaths.

Originally, the plan was to seek out assistance from Alphys to gain access to all of the Core files. But from what I've seen? That wasn't going to be possible. "SANS. SANS, DID YOU FIND THAT HUMAN?"

The smaller skeleton looked towards the trap one more time with unease before returning to Papyrus. This was my opening.

Coming down from the tree, I didn't wrap the grapple around my waist and instead sprinted back towards the ruins. I made an effort to stay in my old tracks so that they would not follow me, I even jumped over a bear trap without it activating. Poor Flowey didn't seem very amused by my sudden pace. Probably should of warned him.

I accidentally moved my foot against the side of another trap, causing it to spring closed. That wouldn't be good... they would be alerted to my location. And just when I was so close to the bridge!

Since I didn't have time to think about my actions once I reappeared into the opening with the sentry station, I ran straight towards the bridge with my grapple in hand and jumped into the chasm that was below.

My coat fluttered behind me from the fall, but once I managed to successfully throw my grapple into the cliff where the indent was, I knew that I'd be fine. My guide however, was in a panic from my bold move.

Just like Gaster said, the cliff side under the bridge had a small opening in it that I could temporarily conceal myself in. Once I squeezed my body inside, I could hear the sound of footsteps on the wooden bridge, creaking from old age. This sound was followed by an amused cackle.

No doubt it was Sans, trying to look for me after he heard the trap snap shut. I wouldn't doubt that he caught a glimpse of my figure running off, but he obviously wasn't fast enough to catch me. "What the hell..."

I could tell that he was very confused... if only he knew where I was hiding right now. That would make for a unusual story for Gaster. It's not like the previous Royal Scientist suggested this spot to me in case I had to hide, it was more of a memory that he had while trying to gather a decent sample from the cliff. Something to do with magic seeping into the ground? He wanted to test a few theories here and there about save points...

"BROTHER. I FOLLOWED SO MANY OF THESE TINY TRACKS IN THE SNOW. THEY GO IN CIRCLES." Papyrus yelled. I could tell that they were about to have a conversation above me, so I pulled my scarf above my nose to make my breathing quieter while Flowey simply stared at me with amazement and horror.

"SANS? ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?" He seemed to snap out of his trans, the words that his brother said probably didn't sound real. From how he moved, I could tell that he wasn't used to being played with by his food.

MAYBE THEY GOT LOST? YES, THAT MUST BE IT. I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS WILL FIND THE HUMAN." He stopped talking for a moment, I could almost see the sinister grin that lined his face as he spoke his next words. "AFTER ALL... THEY MUST BE HUNGRY."

Once the taller skeleton stomped off into the woods, I knew that I'd have to wait for the other to leave too. It took almost twenty minutes of his foot tapping against the wooden surface, echoing through the silence of the chasm. It was evened out in sound, each tap caused my anxiety to grow from his strange behavior... until finally, it vanished all together.

I've seen a lot of things on the surface, but this guy? He was persitant... intelligent for a monster that was dangerously unpredicatable.

I didn't leave my hiding spot for awhile, knowing that he was watching from a distance too! It was almost like he knew that I was hiding... that I wasn't gone. But I wouldn't leave unless he left, I wasn't a fool... and neither was he. This was the first time for the both of us, that we probably underestimated the enemy.

Since the skeleton was far enough away, I dove into my bag to pull out the map of Snowdin Forest. Sure I had a map of the entire underground, but I needed the details of this area. Flowey peered at the papers, his eye widening at what he saw. "How... do you have this map?"

"I'll tell you about it some other time. For now, we need to go to Snowdin." I stated as my fingers moved to point towards a larger bridge that would lead us out of here... but was that the only exit? "If we're not careful when we cross that bridge, we'll be spotted by them."

"I... didn't want to ask this because I assumed that you were looking for a friend or something down here... " he started as I moved the map back into my bag. The next thing that I got from the bag was a well designed layout of Snowdin, the town. "But you said that you were looking for a few things down here. So what would that be exactly?"

"I am attempting to gather some... parts. And right here, is the first stop." Once I pointed at the map, Flowey looked at me as if I were insane.

"Are you crazy?! That's their house! You need to go there, of all places?!" His voice was becoming louder, but it probably was muffled down here. I wasn't really worried anymore though, because Sans' presence was finally gone. Maybe he got bored and left? Probably not.

"There is a shed in the back of that house." I responded while climbing back up. Not that I wasn't comfortable under that bridge, but it was starting to get rather cold. "If we're lucky, we'll manage to make it there without being seen."

Again I held the map of Snowdin in front of me. Flowey's eye looked over the page with interest before his gaze saw my notes that were written in Wingdings. "That... language. I've seen it before. Can you... read it?"

I didn't respond to him and instead pushed the paper back into the comfort of my bag. We didn't follow the path since it would leave us vulnerable, so instead we kept to the tree line. I knew where I was going, but any advice that Flowey could give would be very useful.

Then I saw it... a station that wasn't on my map. And sitting at the sentry post was Sans. It appeared as though he was asleep, but I could spot an insomniac with very little effort. If I dared to make too much noise, then he would be awake and staring at me.

In front of his sleeping body was a hotdog. I guess that he was hoping to go fishing while using that food as his bait. Whatever helps to catch the bigger fish, right? Yeah, like I was going to try to snatch that hotdog. God only knows what it was made out of.

I went to move past him, trying to be as quiet as possible. When I thought that I was far enough away, I suddenly heard it. Tapping.

His skeletal fingers were clicking against the wood of his station, maintaining the exact same rhythm as before. Sans was trouble, and I knew it. "Aww, buddy... leaving so soon?"

I gave him a small glare that caused his smirk to fall slightly... but I quickly tried to conceal it as soon as it was there. I had to remember that I wasn't trying to hurt anyone, or make them suspicious. "Come on over here... I could use a hand."

"Don't get too close." Flowey insisted, but I was already heading over to see the skeleton. Normally I was smart enough to stay very far away, but I couldn't help the respect that I felt for him. I mean, he somehow made me feel on edge around him... and that took effort.

"Heh. I'd really like to pick your brain a little, kid."

His eye narrowed slightly as his grin got wider. "But first, how about a nicey spicy hot dog..."

"I am not hungry, Sans." After I said that, I was about to turn around and leave with very little interest, but he stopped me. "Oh come on... you must be starving. I'd hate to see you... pasta way."

My eyes looked towards him for a second, suddenly catching on to his puns before I decided to let out a chuckle. "How very ice of you to axe. But still, no."

"Come on, kiddo. Do you know the effort that it takes to make a perfectly good dog? I put a lot of sweat 'n blood into this thing." I was about to leave after he said that, I was now starting to feel somewhat disturbed by his persistence.

In an instant, Sans had half of his body thrown over the counter with his hand soon clutching my wrist. "It's time you help out a starving friend!"

He tried to pull me back, but I was faster. With one swift movement from his lack of secured weight, I pulled him over my shoulder and onto the snowy ground. He stared up at me with surprise, as if no one had ever done that to him before. I had to tell myself to calm down...

In an effort to clear up my actions, I decided to reach into my bag and drop a red bottle next to his head. "Well, okay then 'friend'. I didn't know when I was going to need this, or why. But I am not giving up my chocolate so you can just have the damn ketchup."

I was about to leave as he reached over to grab the condiment with a look of surprise. "Hey Sans. What happened when the cannibal was late for dinner?"

There was no response from the skeleton, he only stared at me as I left him behind in the white snow. "He got the cold shoulder."

I was pretty agitated.
