《The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian》A Little Help From a Prince I'm Starting to Like Too Much and a Deathmatch

I had alerted Edmund about the incoming army and soon we were all gathered, just in time to see the Telmarine army start to break through the woods. I exchanged worried looks with Peter.
"Holy Aslan," I breathed. The amount of men and catapults emerging from the woods didn't seem to end. Peter grabbed my hand, squeezing it. I didn't pull away.
"Cakes and kettledrums, that's your next big plan?" Trumpkin demanded later in a meeting room.
"Sending a little girl into the darkest parts of the forest? Alone!"
"It's our only chance," Peter argued.
"And she won't be alone," I interjected.
"Haven't enough of us died already?" Trumpkin asked, his voice laced with sadness.
"Nikabrik was my friend too," Trufflehunter the badger spoke
"But he lost hope."
I clutched my necklace instinctively.
"Queen Lucy hasn't," the badger continued.
"And neither have I."
Reepicheep drew his sword.
"For Aslan."
"For Aslan!" A bear grunted. Peter nodded to Trumpkin.
"Then I'm going with you," Trumpkin told Lucy.
"No, we need you here," She said, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"We have to hold them back until Logan and Lucy get back." Peter said.
"If I may," Caspian interjected. He looked at his professor who nodded.
"Miraz may be a tyrant and murderer, "
Caspian stepped forward.
"But as king, he is subject to the traditions and expectations of his people. There is...one in particular that may buy us some time."
While Edmund went to negotiate with Miraz, Lucy and I were getting ready to leave for the forest. We sat upon a horse while Caspian got us situated.
"Destrier has always served me well," he spoke.
"You are in good hands."
"Or hooves," Lucy joked. I elbowed her gently. Caspian looked up at me and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear, his expression unidentifiable.
"Good luck."
"Thanks," I murmured, again not feeling the urge to murder him.
"Look," he said, pulling out Susan's horn. My eyes widened as he offered it to me.
"You should take this, just in case you need help."
I shook my head.
"Why don't you hold on to it? You might need to call me again," I smirked. Caspian smiled softly. I shook the reins and Destrier started galloping down the tunnel.
"You might need to call me again?" Lucy questioned.
"Oh, shut up, what's that supposed to mean?" I grumbled, blushing despite myself.
The tunnel opened up into the woods and Lucy and I went galloping as fast as we could. But, I heard a horse whinnie. I looked up and saw Telmarine soldiers chasing us.
"They've seen us!" Lucy exclaimed. We approached a more open area and I slowed the horse down to a trot. I climbed off of the horse, handing the reins to Lucy.
"Take the reins," I ordered.
"What are you doing?" Lucy asked. I sighed.
"I'm really sorry Lu, but it looks as if you'll be going alone after all. If Trumpkin finds out, he'll never let me hear the end of it."

I slapped the horse's rear end and he went trotting, taking Lucy with him. I unsheathed my swords, awaiting the Telmarine soldiers. Lucy gave me one last sad look and disappeared from sight. I shifted all my attention back to the situation at hand.
"There," I whispered as the first soldier on horseback came into view. I grabbed a dagger I kept on my belt and threw it at him, killing him instantaneously. I grabbed three other knives and threw them, all of them meeting their mark. The last soldier was too close, so I ducked as he aimed a stab at my head, but his horse ran into me and I was thrown to the ground. I was about to get up again, when another rider burst out of the trees and stabbed the Telmarine. It was Caspian. He held his hand out to me.
"You sure you don't need that horn?" he asked cockily. I smiled, taking his hand and he hoisted me up behind him. I wrapped my arms around his middle and he shook the reins, taking us back to Aslan's How. We burst out of the trees and I saw Peter, duelling with Miraz. He looked at me worriedly. I shook my head, but he still walked towards me, Caspian, and Susan, as we dismounted.
"Lucy?" he demanded.
"She got through," I said.
"With a little bit of help,"
I gestured to Caspian.
"Thanks," Peter panted, catching his breath.
"Well, you were busy," Caspian replied.
"You better get up there," Peter told Susan.
"I don't expect the Telmarines to keep their word."
Susan nodded and hugged Peter who winced in pain.
"Be careful," I told him. Peter nodded. He held his sword up to our troops, who yelled with happiness and hope. I looked down at my necklace, smiling when I saw it was a little brighter than before. I looked back up and saw Caspian help Peter take his shield off. Peter groaned in pain.
"I think it's dislocated," He panted. Edmund and I walked forward to analyze it.
"What do you think happens back home if you die here?" Peter asked us. I exchanged worried looks with Edmund.
"You know you've always been there, and I never really-OW!"
I chose that moment to set Peter's dislocated bone.
"Save it for later," I snapped. Edmund helped Peter stand. I hugged Peter for a brief moment, then handed him his sword.
"I don't intend to find out."
Peter refused the helmet Edmund offered and took a step forward, ready to fight again. Peter launched himself at Miraz, but he blocked and tried to land another blow. Miraz shoved Peter back, throwing him against rock. I instinctively grabbed Caspian's hand. He squeezed mine. Turning my attention back to the battle, I watched Peter kick Miraz's legs from underneath him and land another blow, which Miraz blocked with his shield. They both struggled up, continuing to fight.
"I have a bad feeling." I whispered to Caspian. He squeezed my hand.

"Try not to think about it too hard, Logan."
I watched Peter hook Miraz's sword. It went clattering to the ground. I grinned. It was a move I had taught him. However, Miraz knocked the sword out of Peter's hands and punched him in the face. He continued to punch Peter back with his shield. Peter managed to grab the shield and he twisted it around, pinning Miraz's arms behind his back. Miraz elbowed Peter's face and shoved him onto the same piece of rock from before. Miraz picked up a sword and slashed at Peter, who barely escaped being gutted. Peter lunged at Miraz's bandaged leg and punched it as hard as he could. Miraz stumbled back, groaning in pain.
"Now is no time for chivalry Peter!" Edmund yelled as Peter hesitated. Our troops cheered loudly. Peter turned his back to Miraz and slowly started walking toward us.
"LOOK OUT!" I screamed, letting go of Caspian's hand as Miraz picked up a sword and lunged toward Peter. Peter dodged, grabbed the sword, and stabbed Miraz. He fell to his knees. Peter held the sword up, ready to kill Miraz, but he hesitated.
"Too cowardly to take a life?" I heard Miraz whisper. Peter lowered his blade.
"It's not mine to take."
Peter turned and held the sword out to Caspian. I glanced at him. Caspian stepped forward and grabbed the sword and pointed it at Miraz's throat. He yelled, and raised the blade. Flinched, ready for the last move, but Caspian drove it into the ground.
"Keep your life," he said.
"But I am giving the Narnians back their kingdom. He turned back and walked toward us. I stepped forward, giving him a hug. He buried his face in the crook of my neck.
"You did the right thing," I whispered. He didn't reply. I let go of Caspian, gasping. Miraz fell to the ground, dead, one of Susan's arrows stuck in his side.
"TREACHERY!" A Telmarine general yelled.
"THEY SHOT HIM! THEY MURDERED OUR KING!"
I drew my swords, gesturing to our archers.
"Be ready!" Peter shouted.
"Logan!" Caspian yelled. I turned around and saw a Telmarine, a higher ranking official by his mask. He had aimed a stab at me, but I easily dodged him and decapitated him.
"Go!" Peter screamed. I ran over to Caspian, who was on a horse. For a third time, he helped me up.
"This is getting old," I muttered.
"You're telling me."
I almost screamed as boulders started landing all around us, hitting some of our troops. The Telmarine cavalry charged forward, getting closer every second.
"ARCHERS TO THE READY!" I heard Susan shout. Peter turned around and nodded at us. I scrambled to grab Caspian as he directed our horse to go back into our fortress. We entered a room, full of more of our troops. I grabbed a torch from the wall.
"NARNIANS, CHARGE!"
We turned back around, leading our troops.
"NOW!" Caspian yelled. Giants, Centaurs, and Minotaurs destroyed the columns in the structure, collapsing the ceiling with most of the Telmarine cavalry. Caspian and I continued to ride, up a ramp that dwarves had cut down for us. I drew one of my swords, using the other hold onto Caspian. I slashed multiple Telmarine soldiers that Caspian had missed, laughing as I saw their terrified faces. However, my smile disappeared as I saw multiple companies of soldiers start to march forward. Caspian raised his sword, and griffons holding archers, swooped down.
"If you look at the griffon species as a whole, they're not bad," I told Caspian. He laughed.
"Definitely excluding the one we were talking to."
But of course, the Telmarines had a solution to their griffon problem. They fired ballistas, killing many griffons.
"Back to the how!" Peter shouted. We turned back, following his instructions. But the Telmarines threw boulders, crushing the entrance. One of them hit near Susan, and she was dangling off of a ledge, Trumpkin being her only tie to life. Caspian and I quickly dismounted, running up next to Peter. Trumpkin lost his grip, but Susan fell down to a lower level, safe from harm. She rushed up next to us as we all surveyed the scene and exchanged looks. Before we could charge into battle, Caspian grabbed my face and kissed my cheek. I stared at him, my mouth hanging open.
"Wha-I mean-why?" I stuttered, not even stabbing him on the spot. Sure, I had kissed people before and people had kissed me. Boys were usually drawn to me and a few of them stuck around since they weren't so bad and I had kissed them. I had even kissed Peter on the cheek once. But none of them made me feel jittery, no matter how heated some of them had gotten. So why was this Telmarine Prince making me forget all of my morals of eliminating men who hit on me?
"For good luck," He explained, and I blushed scarlet. Before I could say anything, He charged back into the battle, I followed his example. I fought mercilessly, killing every Telmarine who came close. However, there were too many. I was knocked back into a pit by some soldiers, I struggled to stand and turned to see Caspian about to be stabbed by a Telmarine soldier.
"CASPIAN!" I screamed. But the soldier came to a stop. He seemed to know Caspian. He slowly started to lower his weapon, but tree roots burst out of the ground, knocking him out. I quickly ran towards Caspian.
"Holy Aslan!" I screamed.
"Logan! Caspian!"
I turned to see Peter, at the edge of the pit. He helped hoist us out, and behind him were trees, alive again! I laughed hysterically, not sure what to do.
"This is how Narnia is supposed to be like!" I told Caspian, beaming.
