《The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian》Cair Paravel Gone. We Meet A Dwarf and Go On a Chase To Find A Telmarine Prince

We slowly walked out of the cave, staring at the beautiful blue water. Lucy stepped in front of us smiling. Susan and I looked at each other and smiled back. I grabbed Lucy's hand and we ran towards the ocean.
"Shame you're not as fast as me Ed!" I heard Peter laugh.
"Last one's a rotten egg!" I squealed. We started ripping off our jackets, shoes and socks while running toward the ocean.
"WE'RE IN NARNIA!" I yelled. I ran into the waves and splashed Edmund, who ran into the waves too. Soon, we were all splashing around, marveling at how lucky we were. But I noticed Edmund staring at something in the distance.
"What's wrong Ed?" I asked.
"Where do you suppose we are?"
"Well, where do you think?" Peter asked. Edmund shook his head.
"I don't remember any ruins in Narnia."
I followed Edmund's line of sight and saw ruins, just like he had said.
"Why does it look so familiar?" I muttered.
We made our way up to the ruins, and we wandered among them. I picked an apple from a tree and bit into it. It was so sweet. I took another bite. Getting bored, I ran back towards the rest.
"Hey that's mine! From my chest set!" Edmund exclaimed as I approached, referring to a chess piece that Susan was holding.
"Which chess set?" I asked.
"Well, I didn't exactly have a solid gold chess set in Finchley, did I?"
I dropped the half eaten apple.
"Shit. It can't be!"
Lucy abruptly started running and we followed her.
"Don't you see?" She asked, leading us to another section of the ruins.
"What?" Peter asked. Lucy started moving us around.
"Imagine walls. And columns there,"
Lucy grabbed my shoulders and moved me five feet to the right.
"And a glass roof" she finished. I almost collapsed.
"It's Cair Paravel."
We started walking around together. Edmund kneeled down.
"Catapults."
"Huh?" Peter asked. I kneeled down next to Edmund, touching the rock in front of us.
"This didn't just happen. Cair Paravel was attacked!" I whispered. Edmund helped me stand as Peter started walking away. We followed him. He and Edmund started moving a wall, revealing a wooden door behind it. I walked up to it and kicked the moldy wood near the door knob. It splintered, making a large hole. From there, I opened the door. Peter cut his shirt, then tied it to a stick.
"Don't suppose you have any matches, do you?" Peter asked us. Edmund shook his head and rummaged through his bag.
"No, but,"
He pulled out a torch.
"Would this help?"
Peter sighed.
"You might have mentioned that a bit sooner!"

I smiled, amused. Peter motioned for us to go inside. I took a deep breath and walked in next to Edmund. We descended stairs, emerging into a larger chamber. I gasped. In front of us were statues of us, and with chests in front of them. I ran down the stairs after the others and we pushed open a gate.
"I can't believe it!" I exclaimed.
"It's all still here," Peter agreed. Lucy ran forward, to the statue of herself and opened the chest in front of it. Edmund, Susan and I followed. I approached the statue and the chest, laughing when I saw my statue was wearing pants. I pushed open the heavy lid of the chest, which revealed all of my old things. I smiled, picking up my necklace, but frowned when it was barely glowing.
"I was so tall," Lucy said, interrupting my thoughts.
"Well, you were older then," Susan replied.
"As opposed to hundreds of years later, when you're younger," Edmund said. I held up my necklace.
"Guys, something's not right,"
Peter gave a reassuring smile.
"We'll figure it out."
I sighed and put the necklace on. Then, I pulled out my twin blades, unsheathing one of them. They were as sharp as when I had just gotten them. I then pulled at the hilt, the hidden compartment popping out. The map was still there.
"What is it?" Lucy asked Susan. Susan had a worried look on her face.
"My horn. I must have left it on my saddle, the day we went back,"
I heard a creaking noise and I turned to see Peter, finally opening his chest. He pulled out his sword and unsheathed it, reading the text.
"When Aslan bares his teeth, winter meets its death."
I smiled sadly.
"When he shakes his mane...we shall have spring again.." I finished.
"Everyone we knew... Mrs. Tumnus, and the beavers," Lucy said. I sighed.
"Oreius, Phillip the horse."
"They're all gone," Lucy whispered. I held up my necklace.
"I think it's time we found out what's going on."
I quickly pulled on new clothes.
I wore all black and quickly braided my hair. I strapped my swords to my back and we started exploring the 'new' Narnia, looking for someone to tell us what had happened.
"Where are we?" I asked as we made our way down a river.
"I have no idea," Edmund answered. I groaned.
"Let me get my map,"
"Wait, Logan, look!" Lucy cried. I whipped around and saw two armored men about to throw a dwarf into a river to drown him. Susan drew her bow and fired. The arrow hit the boat, alerting the soldiers.
"Great shot Su," I said sarcastically. I drew my swords, pointing them at the soldiers.

"Drop him!"
The soldiers proceeded to throw the dwarf into the river. Knowing Susan would cover me, I dropped my swords and dove into the river after the dwarf. I reached him, grabbed him, and swam back to the surface. Peter helped me drag the dwarf onto the shore. We all grouped around him while Lucy cut his bonds. I picked my swords back up. The dwarf spit water out onto the ground and I exchanged looks with Susan. The dwarf struggled to stand and glared at me.
"'Drop him'?!"
I gave him a weird look.
"That's the best you can come up with?" He growled. I rolled my eyes.
"A very simple thank you would suffice," I muttered.
"They were doing fine drowning me without your help." the dwarf argued.
"Maybe we should have let them!" Peter said angrily. Lucy cocked her head.
"Why were they trying to kill you, anyway?
The dwarf looked down.
"They're Telmarines. That's what they do." he replied.
"Telmarines? In Narnia?" Edmund demanded. The dwarf scoffed.
"Where have you been for the last few hundred years?"
"It's a bit of a long story." I said quietly. I sheathed my swords. The dwarf's eyes widened as he stared at us.
"Oh you've got to be kidding me!" He groaned.
"You're it? You're the rulers of old?"
Peter stepped forward and held out his hand.
"High King Peter, the magnificent."
I scoffed.
You could have left off the last bit."
The dwarf laughed, not shaking Peter's extended hand.
"Probably."
"You'd be surprised," Peter said, unsheathing his sword.
"Oh, you don't want to do that boy." The dwarf said, shaking his head.
"Not me, him," Peter said, gesturing to Edmund.
"You shouldn't fight Logan, she's better than all of us, so try Ed."
Edmund unsheathed his blade while Peter offered the dwarf his sword. The dwarf took it. The blade was too heavy, it dropped to the ground. I was about to add a sarcastic comment when the dwarf suddenly launched an attack. Edmund ducked to avoid having his head chopped off, but ended up being punched in the face.
"Edmund!" Lucy yelled.
"Oh you all right?" the dwarf asked with mock concern. But Edmund dodged another attack and hit the dwarf's rear end with his blade. I laughed hysterically. Edmund continued to deliver blow after blow. He managed to hook the dwarf's blade and it went clattering to the ground. The dwarf fell back in surprise.
"Beards and bedsteads! Maybe that horn worked after all."
My head snapped up. I glanced at Susan.
"What horn?"
I sighed. We had ended up in the Telmarine boat and were heading toward the Shuddering Woods. The dwarf, Trumpkin, whom Lucy had nicknamed DLF (dear little friend) had told us that a Telmarine prince, Caspian, had blown Susan's horn and we were now heading toward his last known location. I sat on the floor of the boat, resting my head on my knees.
"They're so still," Lucy said. I looked up and followed her gaze to the trees.
"They're trees. What'd you expect?" The dwarf asked.
"They used to dance," I explained. The dwarf gave a sad look.
"Wasn't long after you left that the Telmarines invaded. Those who survived retreated to the woods. And the trees, they retreated so deep into themselves that they haven't been heard from since."
I sighed again. Why were we helping a Telmarine prince if Telmarines had done all this destruction?
"I don't understand. How could Aslan have let this happen?" Lucy asked.
"Aslan?" The dwarf said, surprised.
"Thought he abandoned us when you lot did."
I let out a third sigh.
"We didn't mean to leave, you know." Peter said, echoing my thoughts.
"Makes no difference now, does it?" The dwarf asked gruffly.
"Get us to the narnians and it will." I answered.
We continued to make our way down the river for about half an hour before we got off the boat. I gathered rope, helping the dwarf anchor the boat.
"Hello there!" I heard Lucy say. I looked up and saw her approaching a bear. The bear stood up on its hind legs.
"It's all right, we're friends!" Lucy smiled. The bear started growling.
"Don't move your majesty!" the dwarf exclaimed. The bear started charging towards Lucy. I ran to the boat, grabbed my swords, strapped them onto my back and unsheathed them. The bear was almost upon Lucy and Susan had her bow aimed.
"Shoot the freaking arrow Susan!" I shouted. Lucy screamed as the bear raised to its hind legs to crush her. Then an arrow pierced the bear, and it fell backwards, hitting the ground with a thud. Not caring who had shot the arrow, I rushed toward Lucy and hugged her, pulling her away from the bear.
"Why wouldn't he stop?" Susan asked.
"I suspect he was hungry," the dwarf answered. Peter ran towards Lucy and me and hugged both of us protectively. Edmund held a sword to the bear while Trumpkin poked it with his bow. It didn't move.
"Thanks," Lucy murmured. So it turned out the dwarf saved her.
"He was wild," Edmund commented.
"I don't think he could talk at all," I said, my voice shaky.
"Get treated like a dumb animal long enough, that's what you become." the dwarf said.
"You may find Narnia a more savage place than you remember."
The dwarf stabbed the bear and I closed my eyes while I squeezed Lucy.
