With Edmund steering and Peter pushing us along with the oars, we were gently gliding across the clear, crystal water below us.
As I looked around, I noticed the trees were too still, even though a gentle breeze was blowing through my hair.
" They're so still..."I whispered.
" they're trees...what do you expect..." Rose said, not mean or anything, but she was trying to stick to reality, I could see. She obviously didn't know much about the Narnians and how it used to be like..
" They used to dance" I explained, and she seemed it quite hard to imagine trees dancing...
I liked Rose, I didn't think she was this arrogant girl Peter thought her to be.. She just had her own opinions. Girls have a right to be independent...
" Wasn't long after you left that the Telmarines invaded, those who survived retreated to the woods...and the trees, they retreated so deep into themselves that they haven't been heard from since" Trumpkin answered, till looking forward, - as he was at the front of the boat.
" I don't understand...how could Aslan have let this happen..." I questioned, not expecting a reply, as my eyes wandered back out into the bewilderedness.
" Aslan?, oh he abandoned us when you guys did..." Trumpkin retorted back, now I feel bad, I was the one who lead us back to our home in England,
" We didn't mean to leave you know...." Peter said, the oars he was pushing slowed down a bit, at his bitter disappointment.
" Makes no difference now does it?" Trumpkin, for once, turned his head towards me, reliving memories in his eyes.
" Take us to the Narnians, and it will..." Peter seemed to be doing all the talking now...The silence had overridden us.
We came to the end of the river, and into this sort of lake, in which we stopped.
I was the first to get out of the boat, Peter next, then Susan, Ed, Trumpkin Then, last, Rose, she had remained quieter than anyone else, a few snuffles on the boat made me think something was wrong.

To Become a Troll: A Monster Evolution Story
Thrust into the supernatural world of the deep forest, Paul finds himself in a situation where he could find himself prey to pretty much every other creature and animal around. If he's to survive, he must shed his weak form to grow stronger and survive. But the forest is full of creatures beyond human understanding, that act without the need for food or shelter and that seem to exist for the sole purpose of dragging humans to the bottom of a murky river. Is it really possible to kill such creatures when your only strength is physical prowess? --- A monster evolution story based on Swedish creature mythology. The focus will overwhelmingly be on the progression of the main character and his slow increase in strength. Although many of the creatures are based on Swedish creature mythology, I have taken creative liberties in order to ensure that evolution lines and the such are in line with the usual. The main thought I had when going into this is that I want to delay the "meeting a human" section as much as possible. My plan is to get him to endgame levels of strength before even sniffing the possibility of seeing a human. Whether I'm actually able to do this remains to be seen, but I'm holding my thumbs! Also, I'm aware that there are other troll evolution stories, but this is unrelated to them. They can do their stuff and I'll do mine, but this is in no way related to any of them. The Ordinary Life of Tom Nobody
[participant in the 2018 NaNoWriMo Royal Road challenge] The Ordinary Life of Tom Nobody is a LitRPG system story where each person transitions into the system, or SCHEMA as this system is known, innocent and unaware of his former life. Following the tutorial, memories return, but by this point, each person has a better chance of accepting their new world. It also gives them an opportunity to start from scratch, fresh without all the baggage of their former lives dictating their decisions in the early stages of the process. I don’t expect this will necessarily turn into an action-packed heroic tale, my intent is to create a character who wants to have just an ordinary, but reasonably comfortable life. I don’t know myself how well he will succeed, there may be twists and Tom may discover some heroism hidden deep inside. I guess we’ll find out together. This is my first writing attempt. I’ve wanted to write all my life, but I’ve never been able to develop the proper discipline to put in the work. I hope I complete the challenge and work my way past this hump. I am writing this as part of the NaNoWriMo Royal Road Challenge. While I will try to self-edit as I go, the challenge requires close to 2,000 words a day, so parts of the story may be rough, and things like plot lines may not make as much sense as any of us would like. If all goes well, and I complete the challenge, I plan on going back through everything and trying to polish it up. In the meanwhile, thank you for reading and I hope I don’t disappoint.

That's not just a me policy, that's a policy of this website. I'm not writing this note because I'm a writer who does not acknowledge that there are faults in my work. I know there are. That's what happens when it hasn't been professionally edited by someone other than the author. I'm saying this because I'm sick of reading 1 star or 0.5 star rated reviews that seem to do nothing but hate on the book because they don't like the story. No comments on grammar, ways to improve or suggestions for better story arcs. Just plain hate. It's not on, and I frankly shouldn't have to write this note, but needed to get it off my chest. In saying all that, thank you to those who do leave reviews that don't fall into the above category. Your appreciation of my work, or alternatively, your willingness to give advice for improvement, is appreciated.
