《Stripping for the Alpha》Chapter 26 (THEO's POV)

We searched the area for the smell of rouges.

Nothing.

"Theo..." Nala ran her hand up my arm and squeezed my shoulder. I missed the sparks that ignited on my skin when she touched me, but somehow, her touch alone still calmed me.

"Theo... come inside baby." She whispered. We had been searching for hours now and not a thing was found. Nala had spent the whole time with the mother talking to her and encouraging her to get through it. It had been a lot of time since any one had rested but I needed to find this boy to be the Alpha that everyone expected me to be. I needed to be that for the rest of the pack. For my mate, my Luna and I needed to be that for me.

"No Nala. Not yet. We are so close..." I murmured even though I knew we were nowhere near close. She met my eyes and shook her head slowly. "No Theo, your not. It has been killing me to spit that lie to his mother. Don't you spit it to me." She uttered. She took my hand and began leading me to the pack house.

"Wait Alpha... one of the warriors found this..." Riley said as he gave me a small piece of partchment with the same elegant scroll on the back.

"Alpha Theo Lee, I see you might not have realised what it is that I want so I suppose that im going to have to spell it out for you....

Her mane spells her name,

She roars for the King.

We want her soon. If I don't get her, more people will go missing. My witches will cast your sisters tortured screams into your dreams. I will not kill her yet. But until I do, her survival will be pierced with agonizing torture. Your time is ticking you have a week to first, figure out who it is I want and second, give her to me. You will know where to send her once the next attack happens. "

I growled lowly and thrust the note into Nala's hands.

I had to figure out where to find my sister and the boy.

I had to be that 'Alpha' like right now...

Nala's hand cradled my face and she turned me to meet her gaze. "Theo, this isn't your fault. You couldn't have possibly known this would happen." She declared as she looked deep into my eyes. Yet that was the very problem, I shouldn't have been distracted to have let this happen. I should have been patrolling the village and looking out for my pack instead of being selfish.

"No Nala. I can't get distracted anymore. I can't let this happen ever again. If another attack doesn't happen I won't know where to send you. Than I have plausible deniability." I growled but she shook her head. "If you don't know where to send me, you won't know where to find Mia..." she whispered.

She was right. How could I win? "Inside Nala." She moved to argue but I shut her up. "Now! I can't lose you. I won't lose you. Rainy, take her to the pack doctor now." I yelled pointing to the closest warrior. The young woman scooped Nala into her arms and strolled up the path as if Nala was a baby.

"Riley, call a meeting with the warriors for midnight tonight at the witches house." I said quietly to Riley, not making eye contact. "Every warrior must be present." I added still watching the pack house as if it was the most interesting thing in the world. "And organise plane tickets for my family to go back to Reece's pack."

I was not going to let them be dragged into this.

"Yes Alpha."
