《Stripping for the Alpha》Chapter Twenty-Five (NALA's POV)

It had been too f**king long and I missed the sparks already. So I kissed him back.
"Theo..." I whispered pushing him off. "No Nala, my sister was kidnapped. I deserve a chance to explain myself before I go ahead and lose the most important woman in my life." He said not meeting my gaze.
I didn't know how to respond. So, I didn't.
"Nala, when Mia was taken I avoided everyone not just you. I sat in my room and tried to figure everything out. But then after being away from you for so long..." he paused and met my gaze.
Theo's eyes were full of tears that threatened to spill over. "I began to forget what it was like to have a mate. Forget what it was like to be with you. Nala, I began to forget." He whispered. "I began to forget you." He added with a sob as his eyes met the ground. "I can't lose you Nala... as soon as Tyler reminded me what it was like to be with you, I needed it. I needed you and instantly I changed. I felt my wolf strengthen again. I felt myself fall for you all over again."
"I accept you." I whispered. "Just please, don't hurt my heart again. It has been shattered beyond repair and I can't deal with it anymore." He nodded and pulled me into his warm embrace. "We do this together, got it?" I asked into his neck. "Yes baby, of course, just please don't go." He whispered.
And then finally he told me everything.
"Queen of a Jungle?" I asked incredulously. "A lion is king..." I said raising an eyebrow.
Suddenly Theo's face went slack. "The lion king." He whispered and I furrowed my eyebrows. "What?"

"The lion king. The name of Simba's girlfriend..."
"Nalaaaa?" Theo's mum called.
I smiled. "Yessss Sarah?" I called back in a smartass tone that earned a laugh from down stairs. "What does my lioness want for dinner?" she called back.
Lioness...
"I'm what they want..." I whispered. Theo shook his head. "No baby, you're looking too far into this." But I shoved him away. "Are you serious? You just got me back... Honest Theo! You know its true...." But his lips cut me off. My fingers ran through his hair. He threw me back on the bed and hovered over me. "Yes Nala, they want you. I think." He paused.
It warmed my heart to know that he was finally being honest but broke my heart to realise that, yes they wanted me.
"Yeah I think they want you. But they can't have you. Your mine Nala, no one is ever getting you. I have you and I'm never letting go..." he paused again. "I want you Nala.. he said looking in my eyes.
I knew what he meant. I knew what he wanted. I wanted the same. I wanted him.
No sooner had his lips touched mine, than had his shirt been flung across the room. Suddenly, scream cried out, thoroughly interrupting our thoughts. It was loud, as in you could hear it for miles. It was a pitchy squeal that made your toes curl for all the wrong reasons. It was a child's scream.
Theo's face went blank as he contacted members of the pack. He leapt up backwards and pulled me out the door, towards the staircase. "You are not leaving my side until we catch these assholes got it?" Theo growled. I flinched but I knew he wasn't growling at me. "They took a child. He just turned 7 years old." He acknowledged. I felt the colour drain from my face. How could they be as monstrous as to take a child? "He was Jemma's best friend. Everyone wanted them to be mates..."

"Is."
He stopped just before the stairs and stared at me. "What?" he asked, as if in disbelief. I stopped just behind him and ran my hand over his bare chest.
"Is. Not was. He is Jemma's best friend. Not was. We are going to find him." I whispered against his lips. Theo smiled. "You will make an amazing Luna and I f**king love you." He said already striding down the stairs.
"Say it again."
He turned at the bottom of the stairs and stared at me. "What?" he asked smirking.
"Say it again." I whispered.
He slowly took the stairs, one by one, before reaching me. Pinning me against the wall between his arms, he looked into my eyes as if staring into my soul. "I love you, Nala James. You are everything to me and I don't want to lose you ever again." He declared.
I could feel my cheeks colour as I brought his lips to mine.
