《Stripping for the Alpha》Chapter 5 (THEO's POV)

She leant forward as if on instinct and pressed her glossy lips against mine. I felt a shiver run down my spine as she ran her fingers through my hair.

"Theo..."

The cry broke through her lips lightly with an airy gasp. Nala's hands explored my chest and under my shirt. I was leaving her with marks that would tell every other male wolf that she had found her mate.

'Bleep' 'Bleep'

I sat upright as my alarm began to sound. It took me a second to piece together what was happening as my alarm dragged me from my state of happiness into the real world.

I slowly ran my hands over my head before laying back down. I turned to turn off my alarm but my phone began to buzz. I picked it up hesitantly before I noticed a text for Nala. I opened it to find a message she had sent ten minutes ago.

'Where are you? What happened to breakfast?'

I looked quickly at the time to see that I was fifteen minutes late and sent a brief response.

'Almost there (;'

I quickly threw on some clothes before running down stairs to my vehicle.

As I drove to Breanna's house, it began to strike me how compliant Nala was being about the whole mate thing. There was no way that she knew that we were mates was there? We had all agreed that we wouldn't tell her yet but she was so understanding. Maybe that is just how she is. Maybe she is just a very understanding person.

As I pulled up into Breanna's driveway, I noticed one thing; Nala on the phone.

She was, of course, stunning. She wore a pair of cut off denim shorts and a white button up shirt that was tied above her belly button. Her beautiful curvy waist was on display and that agitated my wolf. Nala's long tan legs ended in a pair of converses that she hadn't bothered to tie up and her red hair was out and blowing in the wind.

I parked the car and got out slowly, trying to get her attention so I wouldn't scare her. She turned to me and smiled before returning to her phone call. I gestured to her to ask if she was okay and she nodded motioning for me to go inside. I followed the instruction hesitantly to try and catch any of the conversation but she didn't speak until I was out of sight.

I entered the kitchen with a raised eyebrow. "Who was she on the phone to?" I asked and everyone's head snapped in my direction. No body answered and that was close to getting beneath my skin. "Okay, so the lack of communication tells me that I am not going to like the answer." I concluded as I stared at the people in front of me.

"Its her boyfriend."

I took a deep breath in and cracked my neck. "Boyfriend?" I asked and Jade nodded. "Yeah they have been together about nine months now. Don't have a go at her or anything, he treats her like shit already. We just have to be supportive." She said standing up.

Only one thing stood out to me in that sentence. "He treats her like shit?"

"Okay if I tell you this you promise that you won't go all wolf on me or anyone else?" she asked and I nodded, not making eye contact. I was not going to like this.

"He abuses her."

I clenched my fists and my body tensed uncontrollably. "He abuses HER?!" I asked almost yelling. "Why what the f**k does she do to deserve that?!" I demanded but no-one said a word. "Why is she with him. Why haven't you done anything about it?" I added and Breanna stood, her nostrils flaring.

"She does what she wants!" She said. "If you plan to accept her as your mate then you better get a move on because lying to her will only make her hate you!" she said. I huffed and shook my head. "She's my mate. Not yours, let me deal with this." I said before turning back to the door to find my mate.

She stood there with her lips parted and her eyes locked on mine. I cursed and took a step towards her. "Mate?" she whispered. I stopped and my shoulders slumped. "You all knew!" she said accusingly. "Even you!?" she said looking at Jade and Bella. "I c... I just... I need space." She said shaking her head and walking out of the room. I watched her go before glaring at Breanna. "You knew she was there!" I said angrily and Riley stepped up and in front of her. "Easy dude that's my mate." He said holding one hand out and I shook my head. "F**k your mate." I said before running out side and into my car.

** ** ** ** **

I found her a few hundred metres up the road.

I slowed down before rolling along beside her. "Get in."

She looked at me as if I was crazy. "Are you kidding? No! I'm not getting in a car with you!" she said waving her hand at the car. I wasn't going to drive away without her so I continued to roll with her.

"Are you going to leave me alone anytime soon?" she asked and I looked from her, and out side my drivers window, pretending to think about it. "Erm... nah." I said and she turned her face from me but I could hear her giggle. "Get in." I repeated and this time she did.

I sped off and drove along the highway for a few minutes before coming to Lookout Ridge. I parked my car and we sat in silence for a moment before she finally said something.

"Why didn't you tell me?" she asked and I smiled. "Does it really matter. It's not like I was going to hide it from you forever." I said before motioning to her door. "Would you do me the honours of going for a walk with me?" I asked and she smiled lightly. "Promise you won't kidnap me?" she asked as she opened her door. I winked at her before grinning. "No promises."
