《Stripping for the Alpha》Chapter One (NALA's POV)

I knew I looked okay. Well actually, I knew that 'Coco' looked perfect. When I was up here with Jade entertaining men at all hours of the night, 'Coco' took over.
It took a lot of work to keep 'Coco' up front, in any moment I could shy away from the prying eyes of the bloodthirsty men at the edge of the stage. 'Coco' was my stage name. It was helpful, having another name. It made all us of girls feel just that little bit safer, to have another identity to keep creeps from knowing who we really are. There is of course the occasional asshole who gets too touchy feely, and that's where Daniel comes in. Dan protects us and gets rid of them.
Jade didn't even look like she even needed 'Kat'. Her stage name was, well just that, it was a stage name. She was confident and she should be. Even in the matching outfit we both wore, a short skirt and a flimsy bra that barely even existed, I knew I shouldn't be scared, Jade and I had amazing bodies, all the way.
So, like every other night, the lights turned on, the music started and so did the entertainment.
For me, it wasn't over quick enough. Jades lipstick clung to my body like a second skin as we exited behind the curtain.
"Oh, wow. That was so much fun!" Jade gushed as she slid on her waitressing uniform, her black hair soaked from the water we had poured over each other.
Jade always had fun up there. She never had a boyfriend and every time I mentioned it, she shrugged it off and always said the same thing, "I'm waiting for 'the one'."
Jade was waiting for her mate. She, as a werewolf, was waiting for the one guy who was made especially for her, and her for him. Jade didn't like talking about it so I had no idea about anything that came with the title of being a werewolf. She said the only time that she would ever tell me anything about it was if it involved me.

I doubted it ever will.
I have a boyfriend, but I don't think we are that serious to him. He slept at my apartment and we've slept together. I hadn't cheated on him so I guess we are a bit more than a casual thing. I had told him I love him in the past but he had just shrugged it off. Something nagged at me, saying that he was cheating on me but it wasn't my place to breakup with him over an assumption.
Jade looked at me impatiently as she paused at the door leading to the body hungry audience that awaited out there. "Well?" she asked.
"Wait, what? I was having a Nala moment." I said referring to a daydream. Jade smiled sadly, "Nala, has Callen hit you, or hurt you since last time?" Jade asked.
My hand unconsciously moved to my rib where a massive bruise laid from this morning. "No." I said, too quickly. She knew it too because her eyes darkened and her wolf was in control, but as if it had never happened, they were hazel again.
She smiled calmly, "I'm going to kill him."
Then all of a sudden, her calmness disappeared. She breathed in deeply and opened the door to where the guests were watching Ally do her thing on stage. Jade ran, at first, I didn't know what to, but then she was in the arms of a tall, stranger. She mumbled something about 'finally' but I didn't hear her to well.
"Um, excuse me, miss?" another stranger asked standing in front another tall guy. "I was extremely curious on what your name might be..." he said, trailing off at the end.
He was tall and definitely muscled as I could tell through the tight fit shirt he was wearing. His bronze hair was cropped low and flicked to the side. He and his friends reminded me of the three amigos as they flanked each other protectively. But his hair and incredible body is not what was keeping me from running away. It was his eyes. They were the most pure brown I had ever seen as they danced over my skin and left shivers in their wake.

"I'm Theo Lee and, with all due respect mam, you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen." He said giving me a small smile.
Of their own accord, my eyelids fluttered and I felt my cheeks colour.
