"Will, take me to him." He bowed deeply with amusement. "

Yes milady. This way please."

"Yuck." I scrunched my nose and he laughed throwing back his head.

To make sure we out of earshot, I sneaked a peek back to find only the soldiers with matching dumbfounded expression and Hades nowhere in sight.

I looked up at Will to meet his clever eyes."So, answers please."

Taken aback by the request, he rubbed his neck asking. "What do you want to know?"

I shrug. "Everything."

"Okay, then let's start with the easy one." I nodded. "My name is William Isherwood"

"Cool name Mr. Isherwood."

"Thank you and I like your name too. Especially your middle name, Rain, rarely heard of." Suddenly we were girls back in high school restrooms throwing compliments at each other.

"Well, I am twenty-three...for some time."

"Very, very." I offered the correction.

He sighed turning slightly red as he said. "For a very, very long time. It's been five centuries till date."

"Wow. Go on." I promoted having an evil laugh to myself.

He nodded. "I am a demigod, half human half god."

Oh boy, he wasn't prepared for what was about to come. The initial scream startled him, the bone-crushing hug confused him, and the nonsense that followed frightened him ashen.

"Oh my God, oh my God. A DEMIGOD, I KNEW IT."

"I wasn't really sure when Hades told me about Greene being a demigod. Does Rick Riordan know that you guys exist? Oh oh, wait, is he a demigod too? Maybe a child of Athena. How can I be so oblivious? "

"A DEMIGOD"

"Is Percy Jackson real too?!?! Oh YES, YES, YES. Hey wait, then I would have to get rid of Annabeth. Oh no, no, no, I like her too."

"Eyes on the prize Elie, eyes on the prize." I chanted shaking Will by the shoulder like a cola can.

"A DEMIGOD!!"

"But what about Annabeth? Shut up heart, and start thinking brain. I will tie them all up, have Nico be put into a t-shirt saying I love sunny beaches.

"Huhahahaha....ha." I stopped midway under the questioning gaze that Will cast me, the type of gaze that questioned your sanity. I cleared my throat.

"Please continue."

He continued looking at me as if expecting me to suddenly start my mindless banter. When he was sure that I had calmed down he went on. "My mother was a mortal while my father was the King of the Gods."

I have heard about him, he is one of the three main Gods and also happens to be Hades' brother. "So Hades is your uncle."

"It seems he is."

"Uncle Hades." We uttered the words together with similar disdain and we so happened to look at each other.

"Nah."

We laughed.

"I died in a battlefield and was sent to Elysium. But I chose to serve Hades, both because I owe him my life and the honor of being able to stand near him." I had always known that he respected Hades though they seemed more like brothers.

I decided to ask the question that had been bugging me for a while. "You aren't a normal guard are you?"

With a small smile playing on his lips he confessed. "I happen to be the general of the army of the Underworld." Pride laced his words, but not one that was clouded by ego and arrogance. No wonder everyone bows.

"So oldie, why do you feel like one from this age even though you are actually old." Careful emphasis was given to old and oldie earning me a glare.

"It's because I was granted immortality which allows me to visit earth, and I make sure keep myself updated. Oh, and those who were given immortality can either stay at Elysium or roam the world freely."

I nodded along, trying to look as if I understood what he talked about. "One more thing Will, what is Elysium."

He stopped walking to pat my head. "It keeps slipping my mind that you are a mortal. So listen carefully cute psychopath."

"There are five fields which make up the Underworld like the slices of a pizza. The river Phlegethon leads to Tartarus, where people receive punishment for their sins." He held up a finger in count.

"The second is the Asphodel Meadows, a place for indifferent souls who have neither committed crime nor any significant good. The third is the Mourning fields for those who died with unanswered or unrequited love.

Then there's Elysium, better known as Paradise for those who lived their lives righteously. And lastly, the isles of the blessed are for those souls who have been reborn thrice and achieved Elysium all the three times."

It took me a few seconds to put it all together. "I see"

"Where you blind till now?" He didn't miss his chance to tease me and neither did I in punching him. "Ahhh....you are spending too much time on the surface."

"Too slow." He taunted dodging my punches with effortless ease. The fact that he was too fast for a guy his age made me resort to the old-fashion way.

Seeming to have been distracted I looked up to scream on top of my lungs making Will' alertness spike as he gazed up to where my eyes locked. His golden-hilted sword flickered into existence in his clenched hand, but before it fully materialized his defenseless tummy was attacked by the claws of revenge-seeking beast....beauty.

In the moment of utter surprise, he fell prey to tickles that drew fat tears from his deep blue eyes.

I had already skipped back a few steps as he regained composure, his eyes giving me a dirty look as he cracked his knuckles. With a war cry, he followed me as I broke into a run, caring less of directions. This went on for a while neither one willing to slow down till a voice sounding from the side gave me a start.

"Bunnies shouldn't hop around so much"

I wasn't aware of my surroundings as I ran with a never-ending scream. When the familiar voice sounded, I slowed quickly retracing three steps to glance to my right, forgetting all about the revenge-thirsty blue–eyed-demon tailing me.

"You look worse for wear Greene," I commented crunching down to his eye level, taking in the dingy cell and person sitting up with shadows holding him dear.

"Been through worse," Even though I couldn't see his face, I knew he raised his brows at his nickname.

Suddenly a pair of hands picked me up, letting me down on my feet behind his broad back. "Hello blonde." Greene acknowledged Will's presence.

Dodging the restraining hand, I peeked out to see the interesting exchange. Will showed none of his gentle warmth when glaring at him with unconcealed hatred when Greene finally revealed himself, struggling to his feet with a casual grin.

I have a feeling that they are going to be the best of friends.

I waved a hand before his face making him unclench his jaw. "Will, can you open the door? He won't do anything." And as if to prove my point, the strength in Greene's bones seemed to give away as he crumbled to the floor.

When he refused without a second thought, I stubbornly persisted making him finally give away.He opened the door all too willingly and leaned against the wall just beside Greene with his hands casually resting on the hilt of his sword.

Bending down next to him I examined his injury. The bandages were still in place and the swelling around his neck had gone down significantly.

I emptied my bag on the cold floor and Will reluctantly allowed Greene to take a bath while I waited in another room with three guards for company.

Will looked both pissed and annoyed as Greene came out of the bath wearing the clothes I had borrowed from my dad's closet. With the bandages being redone, he was served food.

Glares, growls, pleasantries, and smiles passed between Greene and Will as the three of us sat around a small table with the room packed with a sickening amount of guards who became infuriated with each and every provocative smile and smirk Greene threw their way.

But as we worked our way through the food, the atmosphere calmed to a friendly tone with Greene putting away his bad-boy persona and the rest throwing their heads back in laughter with the jokes he made.

EXCEPT for WILL.

Greene was brought back to the dungeon even after the continuous complaining and whining. "He should be given a fair trial!" I groaned and it wasn't only Will who disagreed.

"No thank you, love, I am perfectly fine here. I am sure if it were up to Lord Hades I would be wiped out from the face of the earth and I do not wish to part with the morning sun just yet."

"You are not getting out anyway." Will put in, with his narrowed eyes, reminding me of a hawk's. My nagging finally bore fruit when Will ordered for a bed to be brought over.

Greene showered me with new and improved nicknames ranging from goodie-two-shoes to an evil caterpillar when I pinched him. When the medicines finally began to kick in, his eyes drew droopy and soon fell asleep looking very much like a bunny.

It was only then that Will started advising me of how naïve I was and of how I let people use me, blah, blah, blah. "I am not naïve." I protested for the hundredth time and got on my tip-toes to pinch his cheeks red.

This made him pout making me wonder how cute he must have been when he was a child."What are you thinking in that evil mind of yours?" Will asked, his pout growing deeper at my awe-struck eyes.

I shrugged. "Nothing much, just about how I would trip you and then laugh at your dislocated nose." Will took a moment to stare at the five-feet of craziness that walked by him like a smiling angel.

A little away from the corridor leading to Hades' room a dozen guards hurried towards us. "There are some unruly souls causing a disturbance. I have to go check it out, can you stay put..."

"It's fine, go do your job." I cut him off and when he looked uncertain at leaving I took a step back.

"Hee Haw." I performed a few karate kicks and punches letting him know that I could look after myself. Straightening up the vase I nearly rolled over his fingers came to have their usual visit in my hair. "You are crazy."

I get called that a lot. I have no idea why?

The guards strangely did not stir up a fuss as I entered Hades' room instantly to be hit by the eerily cold ambiance. In the dimly lit room, the god's eyes flared like burning coal.

Like always, his face gave away little to nothing, but my instincts told me to run, told me that the King the angry, very angry. Unable to decide whether to run or to play dead, I smiled with nervousness.Standing in front of a T-Rex might be less confusing.
