I heard that. I heard all.

I caught the look they were sending me. Disgusted. The long bang of the locker opposite mine broke me loose from my thoughts.

She added, the girl standing next to me. So everybody knows now. I thought it will take at least a week to spread, but here we go.

I went to school late, and my mom panicked, thinking I was sick. Walking slowly towards the class, I yawned and rubbed my bright red eyes. It felt heavy. I didn't sleep last night and the text message 'there is no US' bothered me. As much as I preferred living at home alone once I get into college, the fear that I will end up being alone forever terrified me to the core. And that's when Jack entered. The hope that there is someone who will uphold and cherish me even though I was far from ideal.

"Jack!" I yelled at him, who was standing at the end of the hall. He peeked at me before walking away. I dragged my legs to run faster, shoving people away who were quite busy passing judgments on me.

"Jack, listen," I requested, pulling on his shirt. He flicked his shoulder as if he was burnt or offended by my approach. I struggled so much, so much, but I couldn't do it anymore. A lump throbbed in my throat, and my vision dimmed with tears. He wandered away without even looking at me.

All were busy running to the classes. I remained rigid right on that spot, while he had left me feeling ashamed.

It is over.

There is no US.

Samuel: Jack, the news is spreading like a fire in a forest! I hope you are ok?

Kaira: Tell me about it! Someone just posted on our Facebook confessions page. Unbelievable :(

Mary: Ugh! My cousin, who is in Anne Girls' School, texted me asking about 'that girl' who captured two popular guys in one go!

Kaira: Wait, Josephine is still in this group?

Samuel: You got to go, Josephine! You are stupid if you even consider he is ever going to forgive you. You cheated on his back!

Mary: I can't even imagine what she did with Alan during winter break.

Kaira: I am going to vomit!

Samuel: Relax people. She eventually got the nickname she deserved.

Mary: S...l......u..... t !

Kaira: hahaha, that name suits so well.

Jack: I am ok you guys :) I just need to be alone. Thanks. Good night.
