"What is she doing here?" Elena demanded, shooting the harshest glare she could muster at Katherine whilst pacing around the room.

Currently, Ana was perched on Stefan's bed, her legs crossed as she watched the scene unfold before her. She had been dragged into the discussion of why her darling sister was in Mystic Falls, despite the many, many times she had stressed that she really didn't care how they dealt with the minor problem called Katherine.

"Chill, Elena." Ana muttered, watching her nails with distaste - she really did need to get a manicure at some point. "There's no point getting your panties in a twist over my sister. She's not worth it, really."

Taking a deep breath, the ghost of a smirk on his face over Ana's little comment, Damon added "Look, when we killed Elijah it broke the compulsion and freed the bitch from the tomb."

"How's that possible?" Stefan demanded, his eyebrows knit in confusion, but probably a hint of irritation because his ex had come back to haunt him... again.

Watching the feather in her hands and not bothering to comment on any of their attitudes towards her being there, Katherine replied "He's an original. They have all sorts of special skills."

"I don't want you here." Turning to the rest of the trio, but mainly Ana and Stefan, Elena sneered "Get her out of here."

Rolling her eyes at Elena's urgency, Ana hissed "Trust me, if it were that easy then she'd be gone already."

"Deflecting you're emotions with harshness - like always, Ana." Smirking at her sister's clenched fists, Katherine turned to Elena with her brown eyes sparkling. "You need me, Elena. You all do."

Letting a brief scoff escape his lips, Stefan mumbled "Like hell."

"We all want the same thing - Klaus dead... well, apart from my darling sister here but she'll get over it." Katherine added the last part, shrugging at her sister with nonchalance. "However, here you all are, running around like chickens with their heads cut off."

Her arms folded in denial, Elena calmly stated "I don't need your help, and I don't want it."

"And that's incredibly stupid of you." Katherine stated, giving Elena one of the most condescending looks possible.

"Says the one that got herself stuck, desiccating, in a tomb for the last few weeks." Ana snorted, chuckling at Katherine's deathly look. Coughing loudly, she added "Hypocrite."

Smirking, with no humour whatsoever, at her sister, Katherine replied "And yet I've made it out alive." The doppelganger honed her attention back on Elena, raising an eyebrow. "Do you even know where Klaus is? When he's coming? What he looks like?"

"If you know something, say it or get out." Damon ordered, stepping in front of Ana and Elena.

Raising an eyebrow in challenge, Katherine crossed her arms. "Fine. Then I'll just go to the grill and have some lunch. Maybe Aunt Jenna's free for a bite."

While Elena just started on, stepping from foot to foot, Ana was silently fuming, imagining all possible ways that her darling sister could be banished from town.

Not baring to watch her newfound boyfriend burn her original saviour alive, Ana chose to sulk upstairs in the Boarding House lounge, picking at her nails and sketching some art. Unsurprisingly, the quaint town of Mystic Falls, as interesting as it seemed, offered little in the entertainment department when drama wasn't occuring, and right now, entertainment was just what Ana needed.

"Hello, little Ana. Why the long face?" A familiar voice mused, and Ana could already tell who the smug person behind her was.

Not bothering to turn around on the sofa, Ana hummed "I'd hardly call myself 'little' anymore. You seem to forget that there's only three years between us, Katerina."

"No, I don't." Katherine replied, slouching on the sofa beside her sister. "I just prefer to remember the sweet, innocent Ana from Bulgaria rather than the one who's willing to let me die at the hands of some originals. Thanks for that, by the way."

"You're welcome." Ana said, turning away from her sister and continued her sketch. "Perhaps if I keep letting you talk you'll tell me the real reason you're here."

Scoffing, though lightly, Katherine smiled to herself. "Nice try, but no."

"So there is another motive, then. I knew it." Ana furrowed her brows, finally staring her sister right in the eye. "You can't ever just do a nice gesture for someone, can you?"

"Well, where's the fun in that? Besides, I wasn't lying; I am here for you. Let's just say that I had a run-in with some werewolves and they told me something about your heritage that I thought you'd be interested in hearing...?"

Whipping her head around, Ana frowned. "What do you know about that?"

"Ah, so I see the Mystic Falls wolf pack got to you first." Katherine smirked, though it could only be half-mustered at the sight of her sister's deflated posture. "Did they tell you what it means? I mean, it's a pretty big thing, Ana."

"If it's true. I never met my father; they probably made some sort of mistake. It's very likely that there's been many vampires with unactivated curses before they were turned, so what makes me so special, huh?" Ana hissed back, defensive about her past and especially the idea of being some goddamn hybrid.

Shaking her head with humour, Katherine added "So many questions and so little time. Why don't we take a detour to Mystic Falls supernatural records? I've been meaning to arrange some quality time with you."

"You do realise I wouldn't spend time with you even if you were the last person on Earth; what makes you think I'll do it voluntarily?" Ana snapped back, rolling her eyes at the idea of spending the day with her insufferable sister.

With a loud snort, Katherine replied "What if I told you that the Elena arranged a girls night, huh? I mean, you clearly weren't invited to that. I know you, Ana, and you don't make friends. Why start now?"

"Actually, you're wrong. I made friends, you were just too busy hiding like a coward that you never got to meet them." Ana explained sarcastically, smirking briefly at her sister before glancing around the Boarding House. "However... this Boarding House seems to be getting creepier by the second, and I'm in need of some fresh air. I'll go to the records underneath the Fell house if you promise to help me, and not snoop around."

With a loud, almost endless groan, Katerina nodded "Alright, fine."
