From the other side of the room, Ana noticed Elena gasp as she stared into the window, and the vampire chuckled, stalking forward "What is it, Elena? Scared of your own reflection? I would be too."
"Ana?" Elena asked, squinting her eyes at her friend. "What's up with you? I know you're mad with me, but... something seems off."
"Let's just say that I erased my emotions, and God it feels good." Ana breathed, grinning widely.
Elena furrowed her brows, before frowning at Ana "You've turned off your humanity switch?"
"Hello, Damon." Ana greeted, ignoring the question and showing her pearly white teeth to the vampire stood close behind Elena.
Turning to see Damon right behind her, Elena jumped.
"I'll deal with you in a minute." Damon snapped at Ana, turning to Elena "What are you doing here?"
Eyes wide, Elena asked "What are you doing here?" Inhaling, Elena turned to Ana, and the centuries-old vampire waved at her. "You called him?"
"Chocolate is sweet, so is vengeance. No hard feelings, I just can't have an ex-fiance coming after me." Ana explained looking at her nails.
Scoffing, Elena remarked "Unbelievable. I trusted you, and I make one mistake and you screw me over."
"Don't take it personally, honey." Damon told Elena, his blue eyes watching Ana carefully. "The vampire has no emotions, she'll do anything that makes her feel satisfied at the moment, even if it means betraying you."
Before Elena could reply, Alice strutted into the room, saying "Damon Salvatore."
"Get rid of her." Damon told Rose, but it was actually Ana that disposed of the human, snapping her neck effortlessly. "Or you could just do that, I suppose. Now come on, we're leaving."
Elena shook her head "No."

Ana followed suit, stating "I'm much older than you, I have free-will. I will go where I please, and I don't feel like going to your dingy mansion. It's so... old."
"That stung." Damon put a hand to his chest, faking being hurt, before saying "Good thing I brought backup."
Damon chucked a syringe to Rose, who was behind Ana. Before the dark-haired Petrova sister could react, a syringe of vervain was shoved into her neck and released into her blood.
Just before she dozed off, Ana muttered "How dare you, Salvatore."
Rose handed the unconscious vampire to Damon, and he shifted his gaze to Elena, saying "Where was I? Oh right, I said we're leaving."
"I'm not going with you." Elena told him firmly, her eyes drifting over Ana's peaceful figure. The doppelganger couldn't help feeling that it was her fault that the vampire lashed out so harshly.
"You do not get to make decisions anymore." Damon snapped, losing his patience after seeing what a bad state Ana was in.
Shaking her head once more, Elena asked "When have I ever made a decision? You and Stefan do that for me. Ana didn't, but now she's..." Elena trailed off, going back to the subject before she got emotional. "This, this is my decision."
"Who's going to save your life while you're out making decisions? Seems like just one decision already cost Ana her humanity-" Damon stopped himself, putting a hand to his forehead. "Look I'm sorry-"
"You're not listening to me, Damon." Elena interrupted, staring right into Damon's eyes. "I don't want to be saved. Not if it means that Klaus is going to kill every single person that I love."
"Get your ass out the door before I throw you over my shoulder and carry both you and Ana out." Damon hissed, using his free arm to grip Elena's arm.

Elena resisted, retorting "No."
The doppelganger went to punch Damon, but he caught her fist in his hand, clutching it harshly. He leaned right in and muttered "Don't ever do that again. We've already got one vampire without her humanity, we don't want two."

"Time to go." Damon stated, struggling to open both doors with an unconscious Ana in his arms. "Alice is now dead, you won't remember a moment of this horribly stupid day, and we will sort out Ana at the Salvatore Boarding house."
Just as Damon finished speaking, the doors burst open and three men came marching into the apartment. Their bulky statures making it obvious that they most likely worked for Klaus. Great, just what Damon needed.
"We're here to meet the doppelganger and Klaus' fiance." The one to the left stated, scanning the three vampires and Elena stood before him.
Damon shook his head, putting his hands out in apology. "Weren't you told? It was an ex-fiance, sorry boys."
"Thank you for coming." Elena greeted, attempting to push past Damon.
"I will break your arm." The Salvatore hissed to Elena, before turning to the three guests. "There's nothing here for you."
Before Damon could say anymore, one of the men's necks snapped, and behind him stood Elijah, looking perfectly healthy, considering the Salvatores had staked him and watched him dessicate. The original sped forward, facing the remaining two intruders. Rose fled before anything could be done, and Ana stirred in Damon's arms.
"I killed you. You were dead." Damon stated, more irritated than shocked at that moment in time.
Elijah looking at Damon intensely "For centuries now." The original turned to one of the men. "Who are you?"
"Who are you?" The man repeated.
"I'm Elijah." The original told them, his expression remaining still.
One of the men paused, answering after a slight moment of hesitation "We were going to bring them to you. For Klaus. He believes his fiance to be dead. And as for the doppelganger... I don't know how she exists, but she does. Klaus will want to see her, too."
"Does anyone else know that you're here?" Elijah asked, his gaze fixated on the unconscious Ana.
"No." The same man replied.
Shifting his gaze away from his previous sister-in-law, Elijah smiled at the intruder. "Well, then, you have been incredibly helpful."
With that, he plunged his hands into both mens chests and ripped their hearts out, blood smearing across his fingertips.
He dropped the hearts he was holding and stalked towards Damon, demanding "What happened to Ana?"
"None of your business." Damon snapped, pushing Elena behind him more.
"I think it would be best to leave the youngest Petrova to me, hmm?" Elijah suggested, reaching forward to take her in his arms.
Damon moved back, clutching the black-haired vampire in his arms, but Elena put a hand on his shoulder, turning to Elijah. "Her humanity is off, she's not thinking straight."
"And I assume that your plan is to lock her away somewhere and starve her?" Elijah retorted, raising an eyebrow at Damon, who remained silent. "As I thought. If you let me take her, I can reveal her humanity the easier, and less painful way."
Looking to Elena, Damon reluctantly handed over the youngest Petrova sister after seeing the look Elena gave him.
Before speeding off, Elijah said "Thank you both. She will be well taken care of, you have my word."
"Like your word means much." Damon muttered grumpily, annoyed that they had just let Ana get taken by a dangerous original.
