Mrs. Petrova lay in bed, beads of sweat gathering on her forehead as she attempted to push another child through. It was rare to make it through labour, the lady knew that, but she also knew that she wanted another child, other than Katerina.

Rigid beside his wife, Mr. Petrova snapped "She's doing all she can, you idiot."

The doctor quietened, the room stilled, and both parents held their breaths as the loud cry of a newborn baby filled the small room.

"It's a girl, Mrs. Petrova." The doctor muttered, lifting the small child into his arms and presenting her to woman.

Smiling, Mrs. Petrova brushed a finger across her cheek, whispering "What shall we name her, dear?"

"Stefan, I know the risk. We have to find her!" Damon exclaimed, eyes widening as he snapped at his younger brother. Damon paused, placing two fingers on the bridge of his nose before continuing "Look, I know it's risky, okay? But she's the only one who can defeat Katherine."

Shaking his head, Stefan strolled over to the bourbon bottle, pouring himself a glass of it, seeing as it was the only type of alcohol in the house "I don't care, Damon, if we find Katherine's sister, and that's a very big if, she might be just as bad."

"Might." Damon added, rolling his eyes at how weary his brother was "Haven't you ever asked yourself why we've never actually seen Katherine with her sister? Maybe they don't have the best relationship, which would be helpful because then we could recruit her into our 'killing the psychotic ex' operation. How about that, brother?"

Stefan sighed, not willing to fight his brother because fighting Damon about a subject is, well, tiring to say the least, so instead, the vampire surrendered, replying "Fine, get Bonnie to contact the girl, but don't come running to me when she decides to set this town on fire."

"Noted. See you later, little brother." Damon taunted, heading out of the Salvatore mansion to get himself a witch, so he could summon an older vampire than himself.

After hearing Damon's request, Bonnie rolled her eyes, closing the door behind him "Do I even get a say? You guys should find yourselves another witch-"

"Now why would we do that when we've got a perfectly good one just around the corner from us?" Damon asked, leaning his hand on the wall beside Bonnie, so he's towering over the little witch "So... whaddya say? Ready to bring another Petrova to town?"

"Ugh, fine. I mean, that's if she's alive. When was the last time Katherine even mentioned seeing her?" Bonnie questioned, wandering through her Grams' house in order to find a map to perform her locator spell on.

Damon frowned "I think it was just before she came to Mystic Falls, so if my memory serves me correct, it would've been... one hundred and forty-seven years ago."

"Jesus, Damon, this is a very long shot." Bonnie murmured, spreading the map across her dining table "Do you have any blood of hers? It's a pretty important part of the spell."

"I know that. Of course, I don't have any of her blood - I haven't even met the woman - but I've got some of Katherine's, so it should work." Damon handed over the vial of Katherine's blood. Noticing Bonnie's judgy look, he added "She's my ex, Bonnie, and most of my exes tend to scheme against me. It's called self-preservation."

Bonnie nodded, still skeptical "Okay. Well, I'm going to locate her and then I can send whatever message you want. It will take time, though, so you're going to have to be patient."

"Patient is my middle name." Damon remarked, watching the witch as she cast her spell.
