I woke up to the sound of running water in the bathroom, probably Devon. I stretched and successfully landed on the floor...with my face. Just then, prince Devon decided to show up, completely naked except for the towel which hung loosely around his waist, exposing a little of his 'v' line. I watched with my mouth wide opened as the water droplets trailed down from his hair, down to his well defined jaw to his oh-so glorious packs, stopping just on the top of the towel. He ran his hand through his hair, looking at me with an amused smile

"You like what you see?" He asked

Wait what! I quickly stood up from the floor, organizing my thoughts

"No well, you see...I...I was just..." I stammered

"Yeah whatever, you can go have your bathe now. Pick up any suitable clothe from the wardrobe. You must be done in 40" He said then went to the far end of the room, obviously ready to undress

"You know, if you really want to see me naked , you don't have to be so stalker-ish 'bout it" He said

Eew... I hurriedly entered the bathroom and slammed the door. I undressed and dropped my PJ on the floor. I showered and brushed my teeth then left the bathroom covered with a towel and holding my previous night wear. I dropped the pj's on the bed and next to the pillow, I saw a black and white choker. I marched down to the wardrobe and picked a blue and black checkered button up shirt and black jeggings with a really comfy black slides and a pair of undies. As I was about to remove my towel, someone rudely entered the room

"Hey Arie..." Joshua stopped talking, taking in my current state with wide eyes

"What the... Joshua! You do know there's something called knocking right?" I said as I held on to my towel tightly

"Yeah, I'm sorry, De...I mean, prince Devon said to...to tell you th...that you've got few minutes more to...to get down" he stammered, still checking me out. I was getting really uncomfortable

"Okay, thanks"

"Sure" he said, still looking

"Um...you can leave now" I said

"Oh yeah" he said and left

I put on the clothes and choker and then left for the dining. I stood on my usual spot next to devon and saw an obviously very uncomfortable Joshua. I bowed to the royalties and couldn't help but smile at how awkward Joshua was

"Um...josh, are you sick?" Megan asked

"No princess" he answered

"Then why are you red?"

"What?" Joshua asked

"Yeah, and Devon looks like he's about to murder you. Boy, what did you do?" Adrian asked as he pokes his pet with his fork

I turned to look at Devon and it was true. His eyes were now a weird mixture of gold and red. Devon blinks and calms himself down, changing His eye color to its normal shade.

"Megan, where did you get Joshua from?" Devon asked and we were all taken aback by his question

"Well, from elite Ravyn's pet house, why?" Megan asked

"It needs to be shut down. After all the muscle training, they forgot to teach this guy how to knock before entering into a room. How pathetic" Devon said and sipped from the blood in his cup

My face turned pale but Joshua was now a full tomato

"Ooh, getting naughty are we now? Besides, how did you know? In fact, why is it bothering you?" Adrian asked, still poking is pet who's obviously pissed by the activity...

"Well, you see...."Devon started then the guard came

"The king and Queen"

Everyone stood up and waited until the king and Queen had their seat before sitting down. The king and queen did the usual routine of tasting the food first but instead of telling us to eat after, they had an announcement to make

"Before we proceed with the food, we have an announcement to make" the queen said

"Yes we do. As we all know, when the prince has become of age, he is deemed fit to take over the throne, but this can only happen when he has found his mate. For this reason, there's going to be a royal ball. All royals with their pet will be in attendance, Elites and Nobles that also wish to come will be in attendance. No official date has been set so after breakfast, there shall be a meeting with the council. Is that understood?" The king asked

"Yes my king" everyone replied

"Very well. You may eat" the king said

Prince Devon called me to the room and I made sure to knock before entering. I saw him lying back down with his eyes closed and hoodie down on his bed. I kept on staring at his sleeping form when...

"Staring is rude you know" he said

I jumped in shock and hit my pinky toe on the bed rail

"Ouch!" I screamed and landed on the floor. I quickly held and massaged my injured toe

"Aren't you the clumsy type" Devon said with an amused smile

"It's so painful" I said in a dramatic whisper

"And apparently also dramatic too" he sat up "get up"

"What?" I asked

"Do you prefer to sit on the floor?" He asked then I stood up

"Come sit near me" he said, patting the space on his right. I sat down but a little far from him

"Come closer. I won't bite" he said smirking, showing a little of his fangs

"Really?" I asked with a cocked eyebrow

"Okay fine, I'm serious. I'm not gonna bite you, at least not today" he said and I moved closer to him

"I know I might have been a little harsh this past few days with the rules and all so I'm gonna apologize just this once so pay attention...I'm sorry" he said the last part in a whisper though I heard him

"You're what?" I asked with a smile

"I'm sorry" he said with a scowl

"What did yo..." I said

"I'm not repeating it again" he said with a frown that soon melted into a smile. He stood up and said

"By the way, you still have to call me Prince Devon in public and all that shit" he said then walked towards the door

"Oh... Please be sure to lock the door when you're alone in the room, I wouldn't want to be the cause of Joshua's death would I?" He smirked then left the room

I gulped then quickly locked the door. I jumped on the bed in happiness then shut my eyes
