Arielle's pov

Prince Devon and princess megan came back to the room and I followed Devon back to his room. Devon looked frustrated and lost in his thoughts. He also made sure to keep an unnecessary distance between us which I considered weird. He has been acting suspicious ever since I woke up. Do I smell bad or does he not like my blood or is he avoiding me because he's a prince and I'm a pet? That's just sad because I didn't ask to be a pet in the first place

We reached his room and entered. I stood by the entrance of the room because I wasn't sure where I'm supposed to stay. Devon sat on the bed and looked at me.

"sit " he said and I sat down on the chair.

"I have something to tell you. " he said.

"what do you have to tell me Devon?" I asked

"my parents are gonna be holding a ball where all the vampire royals are gonna be attending including elites and nobles so from now on, you are to adress me as master. You have to get used to it "

"okay, when is the date?"

"it's undecided. On the day of the ball, you must perform all your pet duties. Do not talk except if spoken to or given permission, I may decide to bite from you, you must respect all the guest and refer to them according to their positions and you must make sure no one drinks your blood. Is that clear"

"well, yeah but I can't really control a vampire if they decide to drink my blood. "

"don't worry, I've got that covered. Now go to sleep. You can take a nightwear from the closet. I'll be right back " he said and left. I stood up and went to see bathroom to brush my teeth then I did my business and stepped out. I went to the closet and picked out a pyjama and wore it. I should really talk to dev...I mean master about getting my own clothes, I feel so uncomfortable wearing his girlfriend's clothes. I'll talk to him about that tomorrow but imma get some beauty sleep but where is he going to sleep? Maybe he has another room.

Devon's pov

I stepped out until I was sure she was sleeping. I was just by the door and I was able to read her mind. Yes I can read minds, that's just one of the many abilities I'm gonna have. Does she really think that I have a girlfriend and all this while she has been wearing her clothes? Well, the only girlfriend I ever had was caught cheating on me with another vampire and ever since then I decided not to date again. I laid down on the side of the bed far away from her

Well,this is awkward.....
