as I quickly ran down the stairs and into the kitchen. I looked around, trying to figure out where they would keep the medicine in there, but I couldn't think of any possible place. My head was pounding and i had training in 2 hours
Take the pill on the island.
An unfamiliar, deep voice said in the back of my mind, and my eyes shot to the little red pill lying on the island.
my head was begging for relief, I decided the hell with it, grabbed the pill, and chugged it down with some water. Slowly, the banging pain began to disappear, and eventually, my head felt fine.
Anger and rage had taken over my mind, and all I could feel was the want to kill someone. I didn't know who, I just knew what I felt. The next person to walk through that kitchen door wasn't going to have much luck.
I was going to wonder about and find someone, but Alex walked in, followed by Jacob , Chris , and Ross. The first three, I didn't want to bother with.
Ross ? I wanted to murder him.
My eyes narrow and lock on him, and he gives me a weird look. Alex, Chris , and Jacob stop what they are doing, and stare at Ross and I.
"Since when did they enter into an old western stare down?" Alex questions, and Chris shrugs his shoulders as he hops up on the counter.
"I don't know, but we need some popcorn. I have a feeling it is going to be good." Alex snickers, and Jacob rolls her eyes.
"Idiots." He mumbles, and Ross walks closer to me.
"Darcy, why are you looking at me like you want to rip my intestines out?" My fists clench, and my eyes narrow more.

"It might be because I do want to kill you." The confusion on his face only grows more apparent, and he crosses his arms over his chest.
"Look, if this is because of last night-"
I grabbed the butcher knife beside me and threw it at him, though it slid right past him and into the wall. Ross immediately froze, and looked from the knife to me.
"Would you shut up!? All you do is talk, and talk, and talk about pointless stuff that no one cares about! I'm so sick of hearing you!" I roar, and his mouth drops to the floor.
"This is why we need popcorn!" Chris yells, and I grab another knife and point it at him. He holds his hands up in surrender and mumbles a quiet sorry.
Ross hesitates to walk to me, but when he does, he slowly takes the knife from my hand and places it on the table. Every time he got closer, the feeling of wanting to hurt him or kill him grew.
his eyes flickered to the other red pill on the island. Ross walks past me, holds the pill in his hand, and let's out a low growl.
"What is it?" Jacob asked, sliding next to Ross to see what he was holding.
"Dammit, Sebastian put a pill in the house, she is under his power." Ross mutters to himself, and I decide if now is the time to pounce. He throws the pill in the garbage and turns to me, and I decide it is pounce time.
I run and tackle him go the ground, and I am now strattling him with my legs. Ross stares up at me in shock, and looks to Jacob as if asking for help.
"What are you going to do?" Jacob asks, and Ross shurgs, leaning back on his elbows and smirking up at me.

"I don't know, but this position isn't that bad." He continues to smirk, and I glare at him i set myself of fire bu Jacob pulls me of and then i was angry at him. I punched him left and right but missed evertime then i rememberd our connection and turned back to Ross and slapped him accorss the face but he didn't stopp smirking,
"Um, are you going to do anything?" Alex asked, and Ross winked at her.
"I got this." He looks back at me, and I can feel my fangs coming out. I can feel my eyes turning their golden colour and my wings widening. I flash my fangs at him and hiss, and then comes the profanities.
"You son of a bitchin' bastard, perv, assho-"
I never finished my sentence, because his soft lips crashed into mine, completely shutting my mind down. His lips moved fast against mine, his hands crept up my back, and I relaxed under his touch.
Any thought of killing him quickly disappeared, and my hands rested on his shoulders. He slowly pulled away and stared at me, breathless. He was about to kiss me again, but I quickly punched him in the stomach and stood up, leaving Ross shocked as ever.
The look on his face was hilarious.
"What the hell!?" He yelled, "It didn't work!"
"Oh no, it worked. I just really wanted to punch you anyway i missed and that's not fair" He stands up and shakes his head while laughing.
"I love you"
"Love you two"

Heart of Cultivation
Book one is now available for purchase or download through Kindle Unlimited! Jian was a prodigy, at least until he discovered that his path of cultivation had hit a dead end almost as soon as it began. That was all years ago, though. He has long since resigned himself to his fate and prepared himself for a dull, ordinary, but happy life. Stunted cultivation or no, he's clever enough to carve out his own comfortable niche. Unfortunately, not all of the matters from his past have been settled. When a reckless mistake threatens to cost him everything, Jian will have to prove that he's desperate enough to rise to the occasion. Or that he's capable of avoiding the consequences. This is an affectionate reconstruction of the xianxia genre. I will be deploying the tropes from the genre that I enjoy in a framework that I think makes sense. The story updates on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and sometimes other days.
