Tonight could possibly be the last night of some of our lives or a major event in vampire and werewolf history. Either way, we all stood in the snowy air, telling stories and standing or sitting around a fire that Benjamin had created for us. There were a few tents for the wolves and one of course for Renesmee and her parents.

I know Bella is really concerned about the outcome, as she may lose her husband and her own life. What she's really worried about though is never having to her daughter again. Paul and I have a plan, however, even our plan of escape has its flaws. I fear that Paul and I will lose our lives, but I have to stay strong and hopeful.

I sit around the fire with Paul while a few of the vampires tell some stories to lighten the mood.

"If you're talking battles, you're talking the 11 Years War. No one does rebellion like the Irish."

"You lost the 11 Years War."

"Aye. But it was one hell of a rebellion."

"When we ruled, everything came to us, prey, diplomats, favour seekers. Such was our power. But we never put on white hats and called ourselves saints."

"We were honest about what we were."

"We sat still for a very long time. We didn't notice we were beginning to petrify."

"Perhaps the Volturi did us a favour when they burned our castles"

"We've been waiting 1500 years to return that favour. We've been ready to do battle for ages."

Those who needed sleep soon went to bed and the rest of us stayed up and quietly chatted. I was among those who went to bed.

Even though I was in my vampire form I wanted to be with Paul, even if it meant for the last time.
