《Sophie Swan: P.L》Chapter thirty seven:

"Paul, honey, we're going to be late."
"I'm coming, here, carry these while I carry the big ones."
"Paul I'm not fragile."
"You're pregnant and human at the moment."
"What's really going on Paul?"
"I'm nervous about telling your dad we're pregnant. I just want this Christmas dinner to go smoothly."
"It will now stop stressing. Come on we don't want to be more late than we already are."
"Yeah, you're right, let's go."
Paul and I made our way over to my dad's for our Christmas meet-up and to finally tell him and Sue about our pregnancy. We told the pack a few days after letting the Cullen's know. The pack were so excited for the pups to be born, as they would be the very first of the first generation of this pack. Paul had to rip a few of the boys away from me as they were lifting me up in the air out of excitement. It was a funny scene to watch as Paul was worried they would hurt the babies. We got the house all ready to invite the kids into the world and now all we had to do was wait. I sent my mum a letter with ultrasound pictures of the babies for her and Phil to have, they haven't replied yet, but I know how my mum will react. She'll be bouncing from wall to wall. Within three years she's become a grandmother of four. My dad is a tough one to decipher, so I'm not sure exactly how he'll react, but I'm hoping that the news won't worry him out too much.
We made it to my dad's house and grabbed all the gifts and rushed inside as it started to snow cats and dogs.

"Hey, dad, sorry we took so long."
"It's alright, what matters is that you guys are here now."
"Hey, Sue."
"Hey, honey. Are you nervous?" She whispered into my ear.
"A little," I whispered back.
"What are you two whispering about?"
"Nothing." We said together and giggled.
We brought our presents into the living room where we found Seth, Leah, Jake and Renesmee.
My dad and Sue went into the kitchen, to finish off the dinner while the rest of us went into the living room and played a game and chatted.
"Alright, present time. Let's go!"
"Seth, Leah, stop eating. Jake, you start. Get going." Jake handed Renesmee a gift while Seth was asking Leah what she got him.
"Seth don't worry we got you a gift." I smiled at him.
"Aw thanks, Soph." He smiled at me and Paul, Paul handed him his gift while I gave Leah and Sue theirs. Jake and the others were handed their gift, while I anticipated giving my dad his.
"Good thing my sister could see my nervousness, so she gave our dad their present first.
"Well, dad, we didn't have time to wrap yours, but here it is. It's a five-day fishing trip to Fraser River. It's for you and Sue."
"You leave tomorrow."
"Wow, that's really nice. Thank you. Um, tomorrow? I can't...I can't leave tomorrow."
"I made arrangements for you at work."
"Sneaky. And extravagant."
"And nonrefundable, I'm afraid."
"You two trying to get rid of me? Cause it's working. Fraser River. That means we'll be chasing cutthroat."
"You might even hook a rainbow or some bulls."
"Woman knows her trout."
"I guess it's Paul and I's turn to give you your gift, well gifts."

"Go on then bring them forward. This should be good."
"Here." I handed him a box and he opened it and pulled out three baby onesies that all say the best grandchild in the world, next he pulled out the ultrasounds and looked up at us like he was going to cry.
"You're pregnant? With triplet?"
"Merry Christmas," I say cheekily.
"Oh, Soph. Congratulations you guys." My dad came over and hugged me. I pulled my jacket back to reveal my belly which has grown quite large.
"How far are you?"
"I'm around five months along, we found out after the wedding," I said.
It's crazy to think that it has been that long since our wedding and only a few weeks since Alice and Jasper had left and everyone had been gathering witnesses.
"Has it really been that long?"
"Yeah, sometimes I feel like it all was a dream it's been so long."
"So when do you think you'll deliver?"
"Seeing as I'm having triplets they will come prematurely, we're not sure when exactly but the doctor said that it could be any week now."
"A week?"
"At least you'll be here, I doubt they will come until after your fishing trip dad."
"Why don't we go and have dinner, I'm sure the babies are hungry, don't you think Charlie?"
"Yeah, you're right Sue. 5 months, how am I only finding out about this now."
"Dad, you're not the only one. Soph only told me and Edward a couple of weeks ago."
"We wanted to keep them a secret until it was the right time."
Everyone got up and went into the kitchen to grab their share of food. Bella grabbed my arm saying she wanted to have a word with me quickly, now it was only us in the living room.
"Sophie, please I need to know the outcome, Alice left a note and two passports one for Jake and one for Renesmee."
"Bella, the encounter with the Volturi will go of two ways. The first is that there will be no fight, but one will lose their life and the second is that a huge fight will break out and the majority of the lives including the Volturi will perish under fire. When we meet the Volturi Alice and Jasper will arrive with a witness of their own, that witness will decide the fate of the fight, whether or not Aro believes the witness is another story. I'm sorry but I can't say anything else as that is all I know, myself."
"Hey, you two coming in or what? Better hurry before the boys and Leah eat all the food."
"Yeah, dad we're coming."

Of Men and Dragons, Book 1
Book 1 is now available on Kindle, or in paperback/hardcover! You can buy it here! Jack crash-landed on a planet where the natives are seven-foot-tall carnivorous cat-lizards currently somewhere between stone and bronze age. The good news is the natives think the ship that crashed into their mountain is a dragon and are steering clear of it. The bad news is they just left one of their own as a sacrifice to appease the beast. No matter what Jack and his AI co-pilot decide, his life just got a lot more complicated... ATTENTION: This is soft sci-fi rather than hard sci-fi, hence why I chose that tag. For those of you unfamiliar with the distinction, here's what Wikipedia had to say. 1. It explores the "soft" sciences, and especially the social sciences (for example, anthropology, sociology, or psychology), rather than engineering or the "hard" sciences (for example, physics, astronomy, or chemistry). 2. It is not scientifically accurate or plausible; the opposite of hard science fiction. Soft science fiction of either type is often more concerned with character and speculative societies, rather than speculative science or engineering. The term first appeared in the late 1970s and is attributed to Australian literary scholar Peter Nicholls.
